The wind howled and the rain fell. The swords clashed and the thunder boomed.

I slowly opened my eyes to see the horrific sight that had unfolded before me.

The yells of men and women could be heard from a mile away. Fire spread quickly, disintegrating everything that lay in its path.

Blood was splattered everywhere I looked, on the floor, the lamp posts, the walls; and some was on me and I could either guess it was mine or someone else's; probably both.

I soon noticed someone running at me, I couldn't move so I accepted my possible fate. I waited for the impact but it never came.

Reluctently and slowly I looked up to see someone standing infront of me in armour.

I was curious to see who this was, my question was quickly answered when my saviour turned around. It was sir Wels (IDK ok??? XD)

He swiftly picked me up in one smooth motion and he took off, presumably to put me somewhere so I was out of the way.

It was a couple minutes of running until Wels put me down in a secluded part of town; to be fair, it was better than where I was beforehand.

I glanced up at Wels to be met with Wels' gaze. He gave me a nod, signaling to stay put. I returned his with a small, weak nod.

He took off to continue saving civilians, I can only assume he'll be ok but whats the worst that could happen, right?

From the lack of noises from where I was previously, I slowly drifted off to sleep. The sounds around me quickly starting to get muffled from me losing consciousness.

As the sun came up, I grudgingly got up. I put a hand on my head trying to sooth the light head ache I had obtained during the night.

I slowly got up, using whatever was next to me as support. I spent a few minutes standing there, trying to get the memories of what happened last night back. I quickly came to realise what had happened during the night, I let out a small gasp as tears collected in my eyes.

I rushed to my house, only to be met with the ruins of what it once was. I stepped onto the burnt boards and trudged through the piles of ash and stone.

I had to strain myself from crying because of how many memories had just been wasted, washed away as if nothing had ever happened in the first place.

As I came to what was my back garden, I saw a glint of metal, all beat up and scratched.

I quickly realized what the metal was and rushed over to it, being careful to not trip on the remains of my house.

As I got closer, I started to see the completed set of the metal, it was armor.

I knelt down next to the set of armor and lifted up what I could only presume to be the helmet. It revealed Wels' face.

I checked his pulse, thankful to be met with a steady beat. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

I scrambled to check if Wels had any major injuries, it didn't look like it; only a few cuts and bruises, but there was a bit bump on his head. I guess he got hit by something and passed out.

I started to take Wels' armor off, being mindful of his cuts since a few didn't look too healthy.

It didn't take long luckily because of how the armor was attached to his body, it was very weak.

I scanned his body, taking note of every cut and bruise before starting to rip up my dress. I used the strips of my dress to cover the wounds, I didn't think I needed to disinfect the cuts because they looked fairly new, although, a couple did look rather bad to be honest.

As I finished wrapping up the last of the cuts, Wels' hand twitches, Wels was waking up.

He shifted before opening his eyes, he had to squint because of the sun before letting his eyes wander around his surroundings.

He eventually landed on me. It took him a minute but he shook himself out of his daze.

"What...... happened?" Wels asked.

"I'm not too sure myself, all I know is that you got hit in the head by something and you passed out because of the bump on your head," I replied. I'm honestly still a bit concerned about him, he did just wake up after being passed out for who knows how long.

"Oh... alright then," Wels mumbled.

Wels slowly sat up, leaning on a nearby rock with a bit of help.

"Do you remember anything from last night, sir Wels?" I questioned.

"No.... not at the moment, it'll take a bit of time but I should remember soon." Wels answered.

I sighed. I was generally relieved if I'm being quite honest, there isn't any lasting damage like amnesia.

We sat in silence for a few minutes, it isn't like the bad kind of silence, it was nice. Letting our nerves calm down from the small adrenaline rush, Wels examined himself, eyes opening slightly at the damage and bandages.

"Did..... did you do this?" Wels' asked, pointing towards one of the bandaged cuts.

I nodded, taking a glance at his injuries.

"T-Thank you m'lady" I blushed.

"Theres no need for such formalities, sir Wels. Just call me (Y/N)" I stated, flashing a small smile in his direction.

He returned the smile, before trying to get up. We eventually got there, although he heavily relied on me for support.

We stumbled out of the ashes of my house without another word, both of us knowing he had to get proper medical attention.

We trundled along the path leading to a village not too far from the ashes of our former home. I know a nurse there, I hope they'll be able to heal sir Wels properly unlike the makeshift bandages I made with my dress....
