So,all hermits come from the same town,and have been friends since they were about 6/7

Location: All of them were born in Norland, a fictional island off the coast of England. Few people know about the island, and it is one of the few places where muggles and witches/ wizards co-exists in harmony with muggles knowing full well about the magical ones,and is one of the few wizarding communities where they are actually up to date and normalized with the muggle world. They were not targeted during the 2 great wars, although many inhabitants helped during the battle. All children, whether muggle of magic, attend the junior school until they either go to Hogwarts or the secondary school, thus meaning that everyone has at least some muggle education, something many wizards/ witches lack. The magical helps the muggles, and vice versa. Everyone is friends.

All the hermits were born 2004-2005, and are all in the same schoolyear

-Xisuma, Grian, Mumbo, Iskall, Wels, Cleo and Bdubs can all see Thestrals. X lost his grandmother at 9; Grian, Mumbo, Iskall and Wels saw 5 people get murdered at 10 and Bdubs lost his twin (Jamie), whom he was extremely close to, a month before year one started (you'll find out how soon).

-Doc's family is extremely rich but also very selfless, always helping others in their community as much as possible

-Stress lives with Cleo's family, she is an orphan, but can't see Thestrals as she was orphaned at 3 months, so she doesn't remember her own parents. Her grandfather is her only living relative, but she can't live with him because he traveled a lot

-Stress's wand is actually her grandfather's. He was part of the Cherokee group that got the Wampus hair, and when Stress was 10, he officially gave it to her.

-In thi AU, Dumbledore is still alive, Harry is the DADA teacher and Slughorn the Potions teacher
