Jevin leaned against Wels, sitting in between the blond's legs with his head on Wels' chest. Wels, the ever-supportive boyfriend that he is, had been listening to the slime rant about how he died for the last hour. He wrapped his arms around the now grayscale male's midsection, putting his head on his shoulder.

"I mean- I didn't even die in a cool way! Or by a trap or something, I died by my own stupidity!" Wels turned his head and kissed the slime's jaw, knowing he was beating himself up about his death in Demise. "It's not your fault Jev, you didn't pay attention for a few seconds, don't beat yourself up."

The knights attempt to cheer up Jevin failed when he buried his face into his hands. "No, you don't understand! I lost all those diamonds and didn't even die in a way that would make that okay."

Wels looked at him confused, "but don't you have like alot of diamonds?" Jevin looked at him, normally deep blue eyes now just another shade of gray, much like the rest of him.

"Well yeah, but I'm not gonna say no to more." The slime said with a hollow laugh. Wels giggled, "Well don't worry, it was only fifty diamonds out of your, what, thousands?"

Jevin sighed, "Yeah... I just with that I wouldn't have died in such a stupid way." The knight chuckled and leaned forward to kiss his cheek. "Look on the bright side, we can spend more time with each other now." He hugged the slime closer to him. The gray male smiled, "And I don't have to be as cautious about dying."

"See? You just need to think about the positives!" Wels buried his face in the crook of Jevin's neck and the slime could feel Wels smiling against his neck.

"Yeah, thanks Wels, you know... For cheering me up."

"No problem Jev, you don't need to thank me." The blond beamed at him and he secretly felt satisfied in his 'mission' to make Jevin feel better.
