Tango sighed, as he gazed at the sky. He'd gone stargazing tonight, he needed to clear his troubled mind. Stargazing had always been one of Tango's favourite things to do. There was something about it that was so calming and refreshing for him. They were so pretty, so bright and shiny in the darkness of the night. They glistened the world, with such brightness. It gave him hope that things would get better.

The only problem with stargazing was the memories that aroused his former friends. "How could things have gone all so wrong so quickly?" Tango sadly wondered. His heart ached with pain and misery, he was bluntly tired of everything. The fights, the argument and of course the ignorance of his existence.

It had seemed to go all right in the beginning but then it dropped, and everything started to go downhill. It wasn't fair, he was tired of the mistreatment he received. Perhaps his existence was more worthless than he wanted to believe.

Tango felt the tears swell in his eyes, threatening to break loose. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself down. To his dismay though, it didn't.

His breathing became quicker and faster. The tears slowly made their way down his face. He trembled as his emotions broke loose, breaking the happy act that he had been putting on and the feelings he had buried away for so long. He slowly rocked himself, as he quietly cried. For once it felt good to be able to cry freely, without anyone yelling at him.

Eventually, his breathing became slightly more normal. And those tears slowly came to a stop, with only one or tears that occasionally escaped his eyes. Tango gave a small hiccup as he used the back of his hand to brush away the streaks of tears.

He looked up and gazed at the dark sky. The stars were still there, twinkling and shining the inky sky with glows of light.

"Just look upon the stars, 'cause they're here for you," Tango whispered, his voice breaking as he whispered that. He relaxed a little, feeling slightly calmer from his small breakdown. He suddenly flinched though, noticing that he could hear the footsteps of someone from behind him.

"Tango?" Someone suddenly asked from behind him.

Tango jumped not expecting, having originally thought that he was hallucinating, Turning his head, he relaxed a little realizing who it was. "Hey, Mumbo. What are you doing here?"

"I was heading somewhere but I noticed you were here....alone, so I thought I'd drop by and say hi," Mumbo quietly responded.

"Ah, I see. Have a seat, I don't bite you know," Tango chuckled, though it was a dry and hollow one, once again attempting to put on his fake act of happiness. He gestured to the spot next to him. Mumbo gave him a faint smile and a look of concern, as he sat down.

"Thanks," Mumbo softly said. "What are you doing here, Tango? You okay?"

"Stargazing," Tango awkwardly said. "Yeah, I'm fine."

Noticing the unconvinced look on Mumbo's face, Tango sighed. "It's just the usual drama... the reason I'm stargazing tonight, I need to clear my mind I guess...everything fine.

"Any specific reason for you heading this way though?" Tango suddenly asked, looking at him.

"Well, I got into a fight...somehow...it wasn't fun. I ran away and now I'm in trouble for no reason..." Mumbo sadly murmured, remembering the events that had just occurred.

"Fights and arguments are never fun, Mumbo."

"I don't like hurting or arguing with others..." Mumbo quietly added, his voice faltering as he spoke. Sadness flashed through his face.

"I know, it's never fun," Tango kindly said. He briefly looked at him, his eyes showed sympathy, knowing whatever had happened had upset him greatly and knowing what he was feeling, having experienced it himself not long ago. Leaning forward, he grabbed Mumbo's hand and squeezed it in comfort, before letting go and returning to gaze at the stars.

"When times are tough and there seems to be no hope...just look upon the stars, Mumbo, 'cause they're here for you."

"Thanks," Mumbo faintly smiled. "Though, one small correction though, if you don't mind." He timidly asked.

"Go for it, my friend."

"They're not just here for me, they're here for both of us. They're here for you, Tango and they're here for me." Mumbo quietly said as he looked at Tango.

Tango looked at him surprised, before breaking into a small smile, "Thank you...that's true...very true."

"Just look upon the stars Mumbo 'cause they're here for both of us. They won't leave, they're loyal." Tango quietly mumbled.

"B-but don't they die and leave at some point...at least that's what they tell me."

"Yes, but you see when one leaves another one is then born. They don't forever leave, because a new one is born."

"Oh...that's nice then," Mumbo mumbled.

"Yeah."

"So they're here for us, unlike others."

"Well, I guess you could say that...just ignore the other. I know how they mistreat you."

"You say that as it's only me. They don't treat you well either, so don't tell me it's only me."

"Well, yes but-" Tango said, protesting a little.

"No buts! It's true. They don't treat you well. I've seen the arguments and stuff, they bring you into." Mumbo quickly interrupted, rambling a bit.

Mumbo suddenly paused and stayed quiet, noticing that he was beginning to ramble, he sighed. "Sorry," He murmured, apologetically.

Tango chuckled, clearly amused, "Don't be, you're fine." "But still, I don't agree," He swiftly added.

"Admit, it's true."

"Fine...you have a point if I must agree." Tango huffed. He shook his head, holding back a smile, but failing.

"Yay," Mumbo said, giving a small giggle.

"Why are you so adorable?" Tango quietly mumbled, under his breath.

"Tango look!" Mumbo suddenly gasped, pointing to a specific spot in the sky.

Tango looked up, his eyes drawn to where Mumbo was specifically pointing, he broke into a gasp himself. "Well, would you look at that," He mumbled in astonishment.

Out of all the numerous stars in the dark sky, only one of them appeared to be getting brighter. It seemed to be glowing and getting brighter by each second and it stayed like that before it slowly but steadily began to descend towards. It was falling and picking up pace as it shot across the night sky, leaving behind a bright yellow and white trail.

And before they knew it, many more were following behind the first falling star. Each of them left behind their glowy, bright yellow and white trail. They were filling the darkness of the sky with their wondrous and majestic display of lights...and with hope.

"A meteorite shower," Tango watched with awe. "It's been years...years since I've seen one."

"It's so pretty," Mumbo whispered.

"Ay, it is," Tango softly said. "See Mumbo that's why when things are going wrong you just look upon the stars because when they notice your pain and misery, they send you some hope cause they're here for you."

Mumbo nodded in response, "Yeah."

"Of-topic, but I will say this though, I'm honestly glad you dropped by," Tango quietly said. He could feel the tears swelling up in his eyes again. "It's been a while since I've had anyone to chat with...well someone that wasn't yelling at me..."

Tango paused, taking a deep breath before continuing, "But you know what? It'll be okay because I have you and you have me."

"Just look upon the stars..." Mumbo slowly began.

"...cause they're here for you. Just like I have you and you have me." Tango finished with a small but genuine smile on his face. "How about we return to stargazing?"

"Sounds like a plan."

As both of them continued their stargazing and gazing at the meteorite shower that was happening right before their eyes. They both knew one thing, that through their pain and misery, they'd be alright in the end as they both had each other and that's all they needed. Just look upon the stars cause they're here for you. They both had each other and it'll be alright in the end.
