This chapter is written by Mumbo and Grian from Mumbo's perspective.

It was quiet in the shopping district. I slowly walked down a dirt path. I looked around to see that Mycelium was slowly taking over the grass. I gave a small smile which faded as I looked at the tall HEP building.
I stopped in my tracks, staring up at the almost llama like building. It had appeared overnight. While I used to love seeing buildings appear over night this was one I hated the sight of.
"Dad dad dad!" A familiar voice exclaimed
I turned around to see Beesuma flying towards me. My lips curved to a smile which soon disappeared at the realisation bee was flailing its arms around.
"Dad look out!" Beesuma yelled
I was confused about what Bee meant. I looked around, not seeing anything to be concerned about. But suddenly the ground below me opened up and I felt myself falling. Like a strange deja-vu I squeezed my eyes shut. I felt my back hitting the ground, pain surging through my body.
"Bee tried to warn dad" Beesuma whispered
I opened my eyes to see I had fallen no further then 15 blocks. Beesuma was leaning over the edge of the hole that I fell through.
I slowly sat up and looked around. My eyes widened at the sight of a vault that had been blown up. But not only was it any vault.. It was one I had built. I stood up and ran towards it.
"No, no, no, no, no.. Don't people have any respect for solid vault architect nowadays..?" I asked, not talking to anyone in particular
"Yeah, it's a real shame really isn't it?" Cubfan muttered
I turned around to see him stood behind me. He gave a slight smile.
"What are you doing here?" I questioned
"I wanted to speak to you about something. And I guess show you a few things" Cub explained
"Do I get a choice?" I noticed Bdubs stood behind him
"No not really. This is pretty important"

I found myself climbing down a ladder, Cub in front of me and Bdubs behind me. I had no choice but to follow them.
"Now Mumbo, I'm well aware that you're a fan of vaults" Cub chuckled
"That I am.." I whispered, slightly embarrassed about the fact others knew about this
"The resistance have a vault of their own.."
We reached the bottom of the ladders. I looked around to see another exploded vault.
"Or at least they had a vault. Blew it up. Though we're not too sure why" Cub sighed
"They blew up their own vault?" My eyes widened at Cub's words
"Yup. We knew that meant you weren't involved. You could never do such a thing. Which is why we wanted to ask for your help" Cub crossed his arms
"You.. You want my help?"
I didn't understand why they would want me. They worked for Scar after all and Scar hated my guts.
"Do you know how to build a tunnel bore?" Bdubs asked
"Bdubs that wasn't the plan.." Cub hissed
"I don't care about the plan it's best just to ask him" he rolled his eyes.
I thought for a moment. I knew how to build tunnel bores. I knew how to build them very easily.
"Yes. Yes I know how to build them" I stated
"Okay that's good! Then I think the best thing to do.." Cub started then looked over at Bdubs
"Would be to arrange a meeting with the Mayor.." Bdubs sighed

I found myself sat in the HEP headquarters. The chair was far too small, both in height and length. I twiddled my thumbs and nervously bounced my leg up and down. I then looked over at Tango who was sat at a desk.
"How long until I can-" I started
"It'll see you soon" Tango interrupted
I nodded and looked back down at the floor. It felt like I had been there for hours.
Suddenly a door opened and Bdubs walked out. He looked over at me and sighed.
"The mayor will see you now" he muttered
I nodded again and stood up, walking through the door. I stopped in the doorway at the sight of Scar and Beesuma sat at a table. Beesuma gave a small wave. Scar placed a hand on bee's shoulder and smiled.
"Come on in Mumbo. I don't bite" Scar chuckled "unless you want me to"
"Scar please don't be inappropriate in front of my son" I said, clenching my fists.
"That's only inappropriate if you make it inappropriate, anyway... Sit"
I sighed and sat down opposite to Scar. I looked it directly in the eyes making xis smile drop. It looked away from my gaze, knowing that it shouldn't look into my eyes.
"What do you want from me Scar?" I asked
"I want you to build me three tunnel bores, that's all I ask" Scar grinned
"Why three?"
"Well for the three of us of course. You, me and Bdubs"
Bdubs jumped slightly at the sound of their name being mentioned. I looked between him and Scar.
"And what do I get for doing this?" I whispered
"Fifteen diamond blocks"
My eyes widened, that was a lot of money. I looked down at the table then over at Beesuma who tilted their head slightly.
"Well Mumbo?" Scar asked
"I'll do it.." I mumbled
"Perfect! Go get whatever resources you need and meet me at the giant drill in an hour" a huge smile grew on its face as it turned to Beesuma "Kid you go tell Tango to clear my schedule for the rest of the day okay?"
Beesuma nodded and jumped up, running out of the room. I looked back at Scar, staring right into xis eyes. Its smile dropped slightly and they looked away from me. They had done something to my son and I'd found out exactly what it was eventually.
