This chapter is written by Mumbo and Grian from Mumbo's perspective.

I slowly walked over to the large drill. The sight of it was concerning to say the least. Scar was stood there with its arms crossed. I started waking faster upon seeing it.
"And you've got everything you need?" Scar asked
"Everything, you just need to show me where to build them" I explained
"Follow me"
Scar lead me down a large ladder. At the bottom were two mine carts and railway. Scar pointed to one of the mine carts as it climbed into the other. Once we were both inside it flipped a switch and we began moving.
Sitting in mine carts was always uncomfortable for me. They were far too small. Or maybe I was far too tall.. Every time I would sit in one I had to hug my knees to my chest in order to fit.
After a short ride we climbed out of the mine carts. We were in a dimly lit cave. Scar showed me three different holes. All quite large in size.
"You think the space is big enough?" Scar asked
"As long as there's 10 blocks between them and it's 20 blocks in length we're all good to go" I explained
"Perfect! I'll leave you to it then! I'll just be right here!"
Scar walked over to a stool and sat down. It was only then that I realised Bdubs was also in the cave. I moved my hands to my chest and gave a weak smile, waving to him. Bdubs sighed and rolled their eyes.
My smile dropped and I shook my head, beginning building the first tunnel bore.

I felt Scar's eyes on me as I built. I didn't like it.. I never liked being watched. It made me feel nervous. But I tried to ignore the gazing eyes. Going from hole to hole as I worked.
"So they look like they're almost done" Scar muttered
"Yup, just need to place a few more things" I said
"Perfect.. This is going to be just perfect"
"If you don't mind me asking.. What are they for anyway? We're way too high up to find any diamonds if that's what you were hoping for" I wiped my brow, sweat forming due to the heat
"Oh we've located the resistance headquarters. They're all in there right now having a meeting. Which is how I know you're not part of the resistance" A wide smile grew on its face
I placed the last block as the realisation of what Scar said sunk in. I turned to look at them.
"You're breaking into their headquarters..?" I asked
"No, no Mumbo.. We're breaking into their headquarters" its smile grew wider
Scar walked over to one of the tunnel bores and smashed the button to make it fire the TNT. I covered my ears as the first explosion went off. Another one went off shortly after.
"Come on Mumbo! You made the damn things don't you want to see them work?!" Scar yelled
No I absolutely did not! Not if it meant breaking into the resistance's base.. Yet.. I wanted to test it.. To see if it would work. Clearly it would work. But.. what if it didn't?
I slowly moved a hand to the button and closed my eyes as I pressed it. I then covered my ears, a loud explosion going off. It worked.. I could hear Scar laughing loudly.
My chest tightened at the realisation what was going on. My legs felt weak and I fell to the ground. I placed my head in my hands and let out a loud yell.
"I've found it!" Bdubs yelled
My head shot up and I stood up, weakly moving to where Bdubs had yelled from. Scar had already ran over to Bdubs. It then pulled out a walkie talkie.
"We've broken though, we're gonna need back up, NOW!" Scar yelled
Scar then headed for the hole in the wall. Not caring for their safety xejumped through it. Bdubs followed, grabbing my arm and pulling me with them. I landed on the ground but immediately sat up. I looked around and slowly stood up.
I saw all of the resistance members running towards a bubble elevator. Grian demanded that everyone go inside of it. I started running towards them. Grian was the last one left they looked over at me, eyes wide.
"Run Grian! Run!" I yelled
Grian snapped back to reality and nodded, jumping into the bubble elevator. Scar turned to look at me and snarled for a second. It then ran over to the elevator and jumped in. I followed behind.
Once on the surface I immediately started looking around. I noticed Scar had pulled out a bow and arrow. Xe then released an arrow. I watched where it went, eyes widening at the realisation it had just shot Grian.
Grian slowly began falling from the sky. He hit the ground with a loud thud. Tears formed in my eyes and I screamed his name. Scar started walking towards Grian, I ran after it.
Scar placed his foot on Grian's chest, keeping him in place. Grian coughed slightly, blood coming out of his mouth. Scar then turned to face me, a wide smile on xis face.
"Do you want to get rid of the pest or should I?" Scar asked
"No one's getting rid of him!" I yelled, clenching my fists
"Oh come on now.. That wasn't an option Mumbo"
Scar pulled out an enchanted diamond sword making tears form in my eyes.
"I say it's time to terminate this pathetic pest!" Scar yelled
Scar lifted the sword then brought it down, slicing directly through Grian's neck. Grian's head slowly rolled away as his body disappeared, items scattering across the ground. Scar picked up the head and slowly turned to look at me. It was covered in blood.. Grian's blood.
I clenched my fists, tears streaming down my face. In one movement I punched Scar around the face, xis body falling to the ground as it passed out.
I opened my elytra and flew away. Tears streaming down my face, causing my skin to burn. I tried wiping them away to see properly but I couldn't. I knew where I had to go. I had to go find Grian..
