{ hey y'all been awhile, but I am back! Now before you even  start to read this ,I would like to say this has some spoilers (major ones) from Bdubs ,Etho and Grian last life Pov's (3rd life S2)

So yes this is the last life fic I was talking about making ,last life gave me back my inspiration and ideas ,it was so good to watch ,and were only episode 1 in--

Bdubs could feel his heart stop, as he looked at his communicator, dread pooling in his stomach, he couldn't believe it, this can’t be happening, he can’t be the boogeyman, this can’t be happening, can it?

As Bdubs looked over at his partner, he could instantly see Etho relax slightly, and Bdubs couldn’t help but feel sad at that knowing, he will soon after betray his friends trust

“So?” Bdubs spoke hesitantly

Etho looked up at him, smiling softly under his mask

“ well i'm not the boogeyman, so that's good”

Bdubs nodded in agreement

“ i'm not the boogeyman either, so you're definitely safe with me “ the shorter of the duo replied

Bdubs couldn’t stop the nervous chuckle that came out, he just hoped Etho couldn’t notice his shaky hands and didn't think too much about his tense posture.

Time passed as the two continued mining, once in awhile Bdubs would look at Etho, the urge to just get this over with and kill the male, was the only thing bdubs could really think about, and that just hurt his heart, he didn’t wanna hurt his Etho, not after them finally being on a team for once, he doesnt wanna betray his trust, he doesn’t wanna hurt the one he cares about.

But tbh Bdubs knows the overwhelming urges was his fault, he has already had plenty of chances to kill people ,yet he blew it, he had chances to kill both Tango and Skizz, but he was too much of a coward to do so, he’s had chances to kill Etho, but once again deep down he knows he’d never do that.

He also knows if he doesn’t kill someone soon, his own life would be on, he would lose all but 1 lives, and knowing him, after that he wouldn’t survive for too long then, he’s not even sure Etho would trust him afterwards.

Both males were talking amongst each other, just discussing plans and other random stuff, when they heard a voice above them

“Hello secret cave dwellers, surprised neither of you have killed each other yet” spoke the cheerful voice above them

“Heeey don’t ruin the surprise!” Etho wined cheerful

Bdubs let out a small chuckle, if only Etho truly knew

“ of course neither of us would kill each other Gri, neither of us are the boogeyman, what about you Gri, how come you haven’t killed anyone yet”

Grian let out a gasp at the accusation

“Me? I’m not the boogeyman! I already said so in chat”

Bdubs looked over at Etho, both agreeing they could trust the little gremling

“Fair point Gri, were you heading to?” Bdubs questioned

“ Oh ,I am heading towards spawn, so I can enchant my gear at the enchantment table “ Grian happily replied

“Oh! Would you mind if we join you? Both me and Etho here got some gear to enchant too”

“Of course! Just dont kill me alright?”

“ We’d never do that right bdubs?” the white haired male asked the one next to him

“Of course we wouldn’t “

And with that both males head to the surface, to meet up with Grian, when they meet up with him, they all head towards were spawn and the enchantment table is, they we’re all talking and joking between each other, Bdubs could feel the urges to kill once more, and he knew deep down the time to kill was soon, and unlucky for Grian he just so happens to come to travel to spawn at the wrong time.

Once they all reach spawn, each of them take turns in enchanting their gear, afterwords they decided to just stand around and joke around, but thats when it happened Etho just happens to place down the jukebox and play that dreaded disk, and the words from Tango rang in his head, Bdubs knew this was the perfect chance, it was his time.

“I’m really sorry about this Gri” Bdubs spoke softly

Raising his diamond sword, before Grian could even think to reply, Bdubs rushed forward stabbing his sword through Grians chest, Bdubs continued stabbing until Grian finally disappeared into a bunch of greenish particles.
Bdubs looked down we’re the other used to, then he looked up and behind himself at his partner, and he could tell the other was in to much shock to speak, and Bdubs couldn’t help but wince how far away Etho moved, he understood why, but it still hurt, Bdubs was about to speak up but a yell of his name broke both of them out of their trances.

“What!” yelled Grian in shock,

Bdubs grimaced , completely forgetting in the moment this was the world spawn

“It was you Bdubs?!” Grian continued with slight amusement

“yeah , it was me Gri, i am or well was the boogeyman.. Sorry about that” Bdubs replied

Smiling slightly relieved Grian was less mad at being turnt straight back down to 2 lives,
Bdubs could also see the specs of yellow return  in Grians eyes.

“Did you know Etho?” Grian questioned

Curious for the answers, his eyes looking at Bdubs then at Etho again

“No, i had  no idea! He passed all my tests” Etho replied

Bdubs couldn’t help but smile with slight pride, happy he was able to even fool the ever observante Etho, he was sure Etho would have caught on by now, but even he was shocked by this revelation.

“What kind of tests did you give him Etho??!” Grian continued

“ Oh ya know, i turned my back on him a bunch, he had plenty of chances to kill me yet he didn't “

Grian shock his head slightly in disbelief

“Do you still trust him after this?”

“ Of course i still trust him Gri, we spend an hour and a half together, yet he never made a move to kill me, and after this i fully trust him” Etho replied honestly

At that Bdubs felt his cheeks heat up slightly, and his smile grew, he felt slightly giddy at the fact Etho still fully trusts him, despite what just happens, he’s so happy and relieved that Etho trusts him.

Grian shakes his head once more, muttering under his breath

“To think, I managed to swindle Scar out of a life, so I could sit safely at  3 lives, only to get killed and be put back straight down to 2 lives once more”

Bdubs smile fell slightly at that,

“I’m sorry again, Gri, you just so happened to be here , and i didn’t wanna go red straight away”

Grian nodded, rolling his eyes slightly

“Yeah i know, but just know ,your own my list Bdubs! I will remember this!”

Bdubs laughed slightly, knowing Grian was going to stick with this, and if Grian came to kill him eventually, Bdubs knew he’d deserve it.

Eventually they all said their goodbyes, Grian heading in the opposite direction of both Bdubs and Etho, Both males walked in silence in silence towards their base, both were thinking over the events that just happened, Bdubs would sometimes look over to Etho, wandering what the other male was thinking, he knew Etho said he still trusts him, but he still couldn’t help but wonder if the other was mad at him, he did technically betray Etho, even though he didn't kill Etho, he still did lie to him, for hours, so he wouldn’t be surprised if the other was even slightly mad.

“So… that just happened” Etho spoke, breaking the silence

Bdubs looked up and over at Etho, looking into his eyes, Bdubs could see both joy and amusement in his eyes.

“Yeah it did, sorry about that, i should of told you but i was nervous”

Etho nodded, chuckling slightly

“ there's no need for sorrys! I was just surprised, and I’m glad you didnt even attempt to kill me” Etho replied back

“Kill you?? I would never kill you, Etho! “

Etho raised his eyebrow at that, a shock look overcoming his face

“Really why?” Etho questioned once more

“Why? Well because your Etho! Etho my friend, my oldest friend, we've known each other for years, i could never kill you, your the Etho i love” Bdubs rambled out, face growing red as he continued

Etho laughed at that, not a malicious laugh but a happy laugh

“ I love you too Bdubs, would also never think about killing you” Etho smiled underneath his mask,

Bdubs smiled back, love shining in both males eyes, Etho reached down over slightly, giving Bdubs hints, Bdubs met in the middle grabbing Ethos hand happily, both males happily made their way towards their shared base, they knew ,they'd have to eventually talk about the change in their relationship, but that could wait till tomorrow, for now both males we’re just happily talking to each other, enjoying themselves, both were just happy to be in love.
