- Scar has prosthetic legs and arms that work like a hoverboard due to a freak accident, they keep him aloft and he can balance things mid-air to an extent. He can move slightly slower than a player on a hoverboard due to a lack of aerodynamics. Scar is unable to land.

- Gem lost her legs in the same freak accident, and requested deer prostheses to replace them, making her a faun-cytaur. She can land, but taking off again is difficult due to the proportions of her prosthetics, so she prefers to stay airborne.

- Doc's prosthetic eye has top-notch analyzation technology, and his prosthetic arm doubles as a ray gun. He is a very fluffy man, though that doesn't translate to his personality. He requested to become a creeper-cytaur, but was ultimately denied.

- Tango has firey holo-shards that float around him. He can manipulate them at will, providing a shield or armor should the need arise.

  - Tango wears gold eyeliner for this reason and this reason only.

- Grian can summon dagger-like feathers that match his hovercode and manipulate them at will, providing him with a last resort weapon.

- Most of Xisuma's internal organs are mechanical to remedy his early-life breathing issues from a collapsed lung. He required the new parts for his job as a holorider.

- Ren is a bipedal wolf cytaur because he thought it was badass at the time. He went so far as to threaten to cut off his own legs to receive the surgery, a tactic that surprisingly worked.

- Bdubs can summon chains that are a similar color to his hovercode.

- The hermits have personal dronebugs they hacked for time-lapses.

  - Dronebugs are small metal orbs with implanted cameras and fairylike wings.

    - Iskall is blind, and relies on a second dronebug connected to his robotic eye to navigate.

- Mumbo made racing bikes for the entire boatem crew (think the section dividers).

- Cleo can control the undead with small black orbs implanted into said undead's skull.

  - Cleo paints the faces of her undead army - as well as her friends' faces - in Cinco de Mayo fashion, albeit in painfully bright neons.

      - There are both generic and custom colors/effects.

- (Almost) Everyone has a custom hoverboard instead of elytra wings.

  - Tango's hoverboard is decorated with dark plumes of smoke with fire on and around the footholds. The hovercode color is an orangey-yellow, with blaze rods and smoke swirling around the main.

  - Grian's hoverboard is painted a simple white. The hovercode color is a deep satin purple, with feathers falling out of and around the main.

  - Mumbo's hoverboard was originally a plain black, but has since been stained by redstone dust from his numerous large projects. The hovercode color is a bright neon-red, with the basic particle effect.

  - Scar does not own a hoverboard due to his prosthetics. His hovercode is a light blue, with small 'shards' falling out of and around the main as well as some type of rune.

  - Zedaph's hoverboard is padded with white wool, but has been stained by various unidentified substances - a fact that makes most people incredibly concerned as not even Zedaph knows what the substances are. The hovercode is a dusty gold color, and has a 'magic cloud' effect.

  - Doc's hoverboard is decorated to look more 'bare bones', giving a coverless appearance. The hovercode - and power veins - are a bloody red to match his prosthetics, and has driplike shapes falling from and around the main.

  - Cleo's hoverboard is decorated to appear stitched together, combining patches of all manner of colors and textures. The hovercode is midnight black, with small skulls falling from and around the main.

    - Nobody knows how this hovercode coloration was achieved while maintaining the glowing feature, and everyone is terrified until like the umpteenth glance.

  - Gem does not own a hoverboard due to her prosthetics. Her hovercode is forest-green, with leaves falling out of and around the main.

  - Bdubs' hoverboard looks like a bed, and is padded as such. The hovercode is a translucent white, with pillows falling from the main and clouds swirling around it.

    - Bdubs can often be seen sleeping through the night in his hoverboard, which makes people who don't know him very concerned.

  - Pearl's hoverboard is decorated to look like the moon's surface. The hovercode is silver with the standard particle effect, as well as the occasional crescent.

  - Cub's hoverboard is a bright white decorated with a glowing CC on the underbelly. The hovercode is a light blue, with small 'shards' falling out of and around the main as well as some type of rune.

  - Xisuma and EX both have the intricately decorated hoverboard of a squadron captain. Xisuma's hovercode is a dulled purple with the sparkle effect, with 'V01D' painted in purple on the underbelly. EX's hovercode is a dull red with 'devils' - as he calls them - falling from and around the main.

  - Wels' hoverboard is a simple grey color, with a red plume attached to the back. The hovercode is sky-blue, with swords circling the main and periodically dispersing into smoke before reforming.

  - Hels' hoverboard looks like Wels' if it was covered in soot, with a few noticeable differences, such as the plume being fire. The hovercode is a warm fade, with fire swirling around the main.

  - Stress' hoverboard is a standard white color. The hovercode is bubblegum pink, with flowers falling from the main and 'bubbles' floating close around it.

  - Ren's hoverboard is white with silver swirled through it, though red paint has been added in poorly-made snowflakes. The hovercode used to be white with the snow effect, but he partially succeeded in dyeing it red to fit the name scratched into the underbelly: 'Red Winter'.

  - Joe's hoverboard is a light teal color with a roughly painted-on '@' on the underbelly. The hovercode is white with book-and-quills falling out of and around the main.

  - Impulse's hoverboard is black with exposed hovercode accents. The hovercode is banana-yellow, with 'i's falling out of and around the main. An i is sloppily painted on the underbelly in a similar yellow color.

  - Keralis' hoverboard is (supposedly) quite disturbing, as it has a custom 'horror decal' as he calls it. The hovercode is a splotchy teal - he did it himself - and has eyes falling from as well as circling around the main.

  - Iskall's hoverboard is lime-green, with metallic grey on the footholds. The hovercode is diamond blue with cute little slime faces falling from and around the main.

  - Hypno's hoverboard is painted with a dizzying array of bright colors, though it started as a standard white color. The hovercode is a neon yellow with the effect being the 'potion' effect.

  - Jevin's hoverboard is a slime-green color with patches of a similar color, though it used to be white. The hovercode is electric blue with globs of slime swirling around the main. It remained unchanged as blue and green typically don't mix well.

  - TFC is a traditionalist, and therefore uses a standard elytra despite their rather messed-up origins.

    - Elytras are wings taken from elytrians, hence the name.

    - This makes Grian uncomfortable for currently unknown reasons.

  - Etho's hoverboard is designed with stealth in mind, and is painted a green-teal color with dark white accents. The hovercode is red and grey, with daggers swirling around the red main and smoke swirling around the grey main.

    - This hovercode coloration is only possible because Etho's hoverboard can split into two half-size hoverboards with one hovercode each, requiring two separate power vein systems.

      - Etho had many more hoverboards made that function like his for unknown reasons. They all look familiar for some reason...

  - False's hoverboard is a leathery blue color, as it has a custom leather casing for combat she hardly removes, causing a coloring imprint. The hovercode is white, as she forgot to have it colored.

  - Beef's hoverboard is entirely covered in bloodied cow pelts. The hovercode is a cream color, with driplike shapes falling out of and around the main.

    - Beef's hoverboard is decorated the way it is out of 'pure fucking spite'. He refuses to elaborate further.

  - XB's hoverboard is a faded black color with exposed power veins. The hovercode is 'dark prismarine' with his signature 'xB' falling from and around the main.

- 'Admin' is a term used to refer to people who are basically server batteries. If needed, they can enter a sort of hibernation mode to strengthen the server border at the cost of their energy, health, and possibly their life.

- Admins have a power core crucial to their survival that matches their hovercode (effect included). It resides in the middle-upper chest area. It glows, but the glow and effect can be turned off for subtlety.

- There is a way to override an Admin's code and make them enter hibernation, but it is extremely difficult and dangerous.

- Insignias are glowing tattoolike symbols, and only a handful of players have them. They are used to show alliance to the first group the player joined, and cannot be removed until the insignia 'dies'.

  - An insignia dies when the group disbands, at which point it can be kept or replaced with a new one.

  - Grian's insignia is purple, and depicts a number of various eyes and fungi, as well as a few strange vines growing from the shoulder down. It resides on his left arm and shoulder.

    - The vines are all different shapes and sizes.

    - Some of the eyes have mushrooms growing out of them and/or are 'bleeding'.

    - Multiple others have been seen with the same insignia.

  - Bdubs' insignia is lime-green, and depicts several crawling vines with numerous leaves and thorns upon them over a black background, being one of the few 3D insignias. It resides on his arms and legs, and fades the farther from the hand/foot they go. The vines reach slightly farther than the blackened skin.

  - Scar and Cub's insignias are light blue, and depict 'theater masks', Scar's being the smiling counterpart and Cub's being the frowning counterpart. They reside on their faces.

- The hermits are one of the largest rebel holorider groups to date. They pull small heists and can never stay in one place for too long for risk of being discovered.

  - Holoriders are government officials that patrol servers to ensure everything stays in line.

- (Almost) Every hermit's tools match their hoverboards.

  - The handle is decorated with the same pattern as the body.

    - Scar's handles match Cub's.

    - Gem's handles look like mossy branches.

    - TFC uses standard tools (wood, stone, iron, etc).

  - The tool part matches the hovercode (effect included).

- Cytaurs are players who have gotten their legs replaced by - or added in some cases - prosthetic animal parts, typically of quadrupeds. In some cases, additional parts are added to other parts of the body as well.

- Some of the hermits participate in a monthly underground arena battle with other rebel groups referred to as 'MCC'. This event is run by Smajor.

- The hermits like to make 'pets' from spare parts and materials, some going more overboard than others.
