Joe Hills Angst (any season)
Joe opened his eyes wearily, blinking and looking around as he woke up in a red bed. He sits up and as he moves, pain shoots through his left arm which was covered in bandages. The room he was in seemed off. Almost too clean, and definitely not belonging to himself.
He sits around while the pain starts to dim in his arm then he is able to actually take in his surroundings. It looked like he was in the nether. Wait- but he was just asleep in a bed? Joe shook his head and tried to stand up, stumbling towards a door on the opposite side of the room, hearing voices outside when he pressed his ear against it.
"We can't keep J- him here, it's too dangerous for if he escapes."
"Find a way, he's one of our kind, not theirs. I don't care what you do to stop him from escaping but you shouldn't let him leave again."
"But-"
"You saw what happened, in their care he nearly died. He isn't a good hermit. He's one of us. You can't deny it, Cleo."
At hearing his friend's name, Joe stumbled back from the door, trying to find a way out before he got trapped here. Yes, Cleo was his friend but Cleo isn't on the "good" side. He couldn't trust her after finding that out.
Joe paced around the nearly empty room, letting his enderman features show and growing another meter in height as he does so, his horns grew down both sides of his face and curled to a stop just above his shoulders. If it weren't for the added height from how his legs grew, anyone would and did assume he was a rabbit.
The nervous enderman decided to sit on the bed again while he checked his satchel for any food. As he was searching through it, the door clicked unlocked and two people (things?) walked in, the door slamming shut behind their backs making Joe look up with a start.
"I didn't think he was a-" Cleo got a glare from the other person and she flinched, looking at the floor in Joe's general direction, "I didn't know you were an enderman, if I did I would've been more careful."
"Why am I here. You know there's rules about not moving a sleeping hermit for a reason-" Joe started, finally recognising the other person and cursing internally, "just my luck... if you wouldn't mind, Cleo and Evil Xisuma, I would very much appreciate it if I could go home."
"We can't do that. I'm sorry, Joe." The red-clad clone spoke up finally, his voice trembling but it was hidden by the voice filter in his helmet. Although they could, they still didn't look the enderman in the eye, knowing better than to let any weakness be shown by doing such an action.
Joe nods and tries to move his arms to get more comfortable but only succeeds in being shoved against the bed below him as he screams from pain. He opens his eyes and attempts to blink away the tears forming as Cleo lifts his head to put it on her lap, the enderman falls back to sleep slowly as the burning tears trail down his cheeks, creating red tracks in their wake.
A/N
Hey it's been a while huh? I got bored and all I could think of was writing in this again. This isn't bound to any hermitcraft season but it should fit with any from season 6 onwards.
Sorry for not posting in a while, life's been a whirlwind as of late. I hope you all have a good day/night.
And as always, run through the meadows, fly high my angels.
