Demons - Bdoc (ship fic essentially)

Don't mind the picture up there- it's nothing-

Doc was excited, to say the least.

He was moving to a new town, to a whole new country as well.

America. Home of the brave, apparently.

Doc liked to think he was pretty brave.

Except when it came to cats.

Probably the fact that he was a creeper hybrid.

Yeah, that probably helped to feed Doc's fear of cats.

Over the plane ride to his new home, Doc thought about what his new school would be like. He knew it was going to be hybrid-friendly, seeing as it had a hybrid principal, after all. He imagined the students, a mix of hybrids and humans. Some tall, some short, all different types of people. Doc remembered a friend he had made online, who was originally from South Africa but had moved to America when he was only 10. Doc had messaged him before he got on the plane, but had no way of knowing whether or not his friend had seen or responded to the messages, since there was no internet access on the plane. Not even Doc’s half-robotic brain could connect to anything, leaving him feeling strangely isolated and lonely.

Yes, you read that right.

Doc was a cyborg along with being a creeper hybrid. Due to complications during his mother’s pregnancy, Doc never formed a left eye or a fully functional right arm. He could move his right arm just fine, it was just smaller and the hand never formed properly. Doc was left with essentially a useless blob on a shorter and thinner than normal right arm. Once Doc turned 10, he was able to get a fake eye in his left socket after a surgery, and in the same year the doctors amputated his right arm up to the elbow.

Living a normal life was hard, being a 10-year-old amputee along with being a creeper hybrid certainly didn’t do any favors for his social life either. When Doc was 13 he was in a car accident, leaving the left side of his brain damaged as well as what was left of his right arm. Doc ended up getting a procedure to turn him into a cyborg a few months before he was to turn 14.

His right arm and shoulder were completely replaced, along with the left side of his skull and part of his brain.

Now Doc was turning 16, and moving to a new country with a better school system so that he could follow his dreams of becoming a redstone engineer.

After the long flight was over and Doc was in his new house, surrounded by half-unpacked boxes, he plopped down on his new bed and promptly fell asleep thinking about his new life in America.

A few blocks away from Doc’s new house, there was a 15-year-old boy desperately trying to not fall asleep.

Ben, or Bdubs as his friends called him, -- he had a twin brother named Barry, who just so happened to have been born a few minutes before Ben was, so his friends called Barry “B” and Ben “Bdubs” since he was the second “B” -- had a problem with sleep. You see, Bdubs was narcoleptic. He couldn’t seem to keep a normal sleep schedule, going to bed at almost midnight and then waking up in a cold sweat at 2 or 3 AM only to be greeted by a demonic being staring at him from the darkest corner of his room.

So, long story short, Bdubs had narcolepsy and sleep paralysis, and those coupled with nightmares almost every time he fell asleep… It left Bdubs afraid of his own bed. And the dark. That’s where the demon hid. So Bdubs would stay up until he couldn’t physically stay awake any longer, hoping to stave off the demon that came every night no matter what.

Bdubs thought the demon was terrifying. Rotting green skin, right arm seemingly torn off and the shoulder covered in dark blood, a caved in head with thin, stringy, and matted hair on what was left of its head. Its face was also mostly coated in dark blood, with one singular glowing red eye that always stared at Bdubs. The demon never blinked, ever. Bdubs could only imagine what was underneath the ratty, torn, and bloodstained excuse for clothes that the thing wore, its feet bare of anything and its left leg twisted unnaturally backwards so that its foot dragged on the floor.

Bdubs was terrified of it.

Little did he know, someone who looked similar to his sleep paralysis demon, albeit much cleaned up and not bloody, would be joining his class the very next day.
