She smirked. "Not much longer now. Xelqua will be back under my control again. Scar, go back to Hermitcraft for me. Keep up this relationship with Xel. You know the rest of the plan." He nodded and left, his pace accelerating so he would get back to the hermits before they noticed.

"Where the hell is Mumbo?!"
"I don't know Grian.. He just disappeared and I-"
"I don't want to lose my boyfriend again so let's scudding find him, okay?"

Grian stormed off, worried and furious. Why did Mumbo and Scar just leave him like that? Why is history just repeating itself? What if the watchers come and attack again, leaving me alone grieving again? What if-

"Hey G! You alright?"
"Scar?! Where have you been?! I've been worried sick, so have all the other hermits!!"
"Sorry G.. Family business stuff called so I had to go take care of that quickly.."

"It's fine... Have you seen Mumbo anywhere?"

"Unfortunately not, but I can help you look for him?"
"No thanks, thanks for offering though Scar. Just go to the hermits and tell them you're back and I'm looking for Mumbo, alright?"
"Got it Gri!!"

Scar strolled off, trying to keep the act of the bubbly personality up. He knew taking Mumbo was the smartest move, especially since Zena was going to reward him and give him a higher rank if the plan was a success. I mean the plan will be over soon, so why not get the reward and some revenge. She'll pay for what she did.. He smirked and typed a message into his communicator.

<GoodTimesWithScar> Have y'all checked the nether for Mumbo? He could be at the fortress or something.

<Xisuma> Good idea, shall we all go in case of sabotage?

<GoodTimesWithScar> Sounds like a good idea to me, I'll meet you guys at the fortress?
<Grian> Yeah I'll meet you all there too!!

He laughed before running through the portal, reaching the fortress in a matter of seconds. He knew he didn't have much time, so he sprinted. Dodging fireballs, avoiding all the blaze spawners, getting chased by wither skeletons.

"Scar!! Lovely to see you! How's the plan going?"
"It's good, they'll be here soon."
"Great. Here's the payment, reward and your rank will be going up. Thank you for being our first and only vex ally.. I mean you've done an excellent job. This is the most successful mission yet!!"
"Hey Zena?"

"Yes Scar? What's wrong? Why are you frowning?"

"Have you truly changed?"

"Look, Scar, I've changed! I'm a new and better person! I'm mature now!!"

"Then why do you still carry that same knife and shield that you carried while you were insane??? Why do you still have that look in your eye, a look of a bloodthirsty murderer?!?!?! Why... I thought you were a good person before you gaslighted me..."

"Oh sweetheart... I was never a good person... Just a liar with a clever mask."

He stood there, drawing his sword.
"Oh sweetheart, that won't help you... You're going to be just fine with me, nothing you have on you can help.."
"Oh I know... But they can.."

The hermits appeared around the corner, ready for battle. Zena smirked, gazing from the hermits back to Scar. She howled with laughter, high-pitched and sounding insane. Scar stared her dead in the eye. The laughter stopped suddenly.

"You idiot. You haven't learnt a thing have you? You're going to get everyone killed... and it'll be. All. Your. Fault."

Scar smirked. His face showed confidence, joy almost. He stepped back, his foot hitting the edge of the nether brick walls. He giggled, his eyes not leaving contact with Zena's.

"What are you doing?"

He climbed to stand on the top of the wall. "Scar, tell me what you are doing." "Zena, you know, this has been fun. But it's time for our little game to end." And with that he fell back, into a pool of lava. The world stopped, his heart raced as the pearl flew. He landed in the lava. Dead... At least that's what they thought.
