RS - Villain Assistance

Word Count : 1647

Heads up : This is not apart of the Hermit Heros A.u that I already have where all the Hermits are heroes, this is a spin off kind of story where some Hermits are heroes and others are villains.

Plot : There's a huge new villain. And the Hermit Heroes, currently consisting of the Admin, the Poet, Paladin, Hunter, Amber and the newest hero, Watcher are struggling to beat them.

Desperate times call for desperate measures and the heroes have already struck up deals with all of of the other bigger villains they know, but even with the fragile numbers, it's still not enough to beat this huge uprising threat.

The Admin, almost all out of tricks, pulls out his last ditch card and returns to a villain that he thought he sealed away for good for assistance.

The Technician.

Can the huge group of heroes, villains and bounty hunters convince this long time villain to help against a growing threat? And can they help the Technician learn what it feels like to be a hero?

Grian watched as his leader, the Admin continued to pace restlessly. Grian couldn't blame him.

These weird entities, these Errors and Glitches kept attacking major points of the world. And when the heroes managed to force them to flee, they simply came back again, full strength the next day. It was exhausting.

The Admin continued to pace, muttering words under his breath. "We have fragile trust with most super villains of the world, and even then with their help it still isn't enough."

The Hunter looked mildly distraught. "What can we even do anymore besides keep trying to kill something that keeps coming back at full strength?"

The hero Poet appeared to be deep in thought as Amber spoke up. "We need to find a way to kill those things for good."

"How? We know next to nothing about them. We don't know the full extent of what they can do and we don't know any possible weaknesses!" Grian said, placing his hands on the table.

Paladin spoke up. "What if someone went specifically into research to try and figure out a kill code?"

"The Lightning Theif has been trying, along with Plauge. They've had no such luck. Not even Plauge and the Jangler's magic combined could permently get rid of them." The poet replied.

Hunter crossed his arms. "As much as I hate to admit this, but those two villains are two of the smartest villains I know of. I don't think theres anyone smarter!"

After moments of silence, the leader spoke up. "I do." That caught the other's attention.

Grian looked at the Admin. "Who?"

Hanging his head down, the Admin stopped pacing. "Watcher, have you ever heard of The Technician?"

Grian felt his heart drop into his stomach. "We've... we've learned about him. The other Watcher's have had us research all about him. You-you trapped him in another dimension."

The poet stood up, facing the Admin. "You can't possibly-"

"We don't have much of a choice, Poet!" The leader said, cutting his teammate off. "We're down to our last strings, we have to try something or these Erorrs are going to destroy our world!"

Hunter kept his arms crossed as he turned his head down. "Oh boy..." he commented lightly.

Within the next hour all the heroes had gone deep underground in a hidden part of the base.

The Admin, Poet and Paladin all looked tense.

"Don't let this guy fool you. He talks shit because he knows shit, he's smart and he's stronger than he looks." The Paladin warned. He glanced back at Grian. "He talks like you do when you go into detective mode."

Grian shuttered at the thought for a second. "Oh boy."

Finally reaching the bottom, the Admin stepped further up, summoning a huge,  non-see-throughable portal.

Grian watched as the portal hovered within the air. On the other side appeared a tall darkened figure, obscured by all the dark particle effects the portal gave off.

"What do you want?" The figure demanded. The person on the other side of the portal didn't sound very threatening, just annoyed. But that voice still belonged to the same super villain that the Admin had to banish a long time ago.

"Technician." The Admin addressed.

The figure turned its head down to where the leader was. "You again. What do you want this time?"

"I want to strike a deal with you."

The person merely laughed. "Ah yes, so I've heard. You've come across a difficult situation and you're all out of playing cards. And what do you do for your last move? You come crawling back to me in hopes I'll assist you."

Grian watched the Admin clench his fists and then relax them. The Admin spoke again. "Yes. We need your help."

"Oh of course you do. But why should I? You are the one who locked me in here for god knows how long." The person snapped.

"Eight years, Technician, eight years." The leader corrected.

The Technician scoffed. "Why should I help you? You still haven't answered that."

Grian could hear the Poet whispering under his breath. "Don't say it, don't say it, don't say it."

"How does your freedom sound, in return for helping us get rid of all the errors and glitches that are attacking our world. But only when all the errors are gone will you truly have your freedom back." The Admin stated, clenching his fists at his sides.

The Technician paused, before chuckled. "You have gotten good at making deals, Admin. Fine. I'll help you save your world."

Grian watched as the Poet tensed beside him.

"Portal opens at your spawn chunks." Admin added, staring at the portal before it disappeared.

Paladin was the first to speak up. "What the hell!" He demanded, looking at his leader.

Xisuma cringed ever so slightly and said nothing. Another portal then opened, this time emitting a red glow.

The heroes all turned and faced the portal. X was the only hero to not pull out his weapon, or at least put his hand in a position to draw one out.

After a few seconds, a tall man stepped through the portal. A man almost as tall as The Lightning Theif, except he had black hair and a black mustache, pale skin and was dressed sharply. The Technician.

The man walked away from the portal before stopping and it closed behind him. His piercing red eyes observed his surroundings they before landed back on Xisuma and his team.

The Admin was the first to speak after the moment of silence. "You've changed quite a lot haven't you, MJ."

Grian gave a look at X as MJ replied back. "Spare me the small talk Void, and show me who and what I'm dealing with already."

Grian had only heard of the Technician through books and lessons the Watchers gave. But to now be standing in a room with the man keeping an eye on him with the Hunter as he read over a file silently to himself while sitting in a chair was weird.

The Technician had not said a word to the two and seemed completely enveloped in the file. This gave Grian a good chance to observe what he could.

"Tall posture, sharp appearance. Must have been taught in a stricter school district. Messy black hair that's always in his face, must not really care about it being in his way." Grian pondered to himself. "He lacks muscle, must be underweight. But how is he so tall then? Redstone. Redstone is littered across his cheeks, must have stained them. Along his arms too. The dimension must have been full of Redstone then." Grian sighed mentally as he stood up from off the wall he was leaning against and stretched out his wings and arms.

Hunter had not taken his eyes off the villain since they had situated themselves.

Finally, MJ, the Technician let out an annoyed sounding sigh. "Why are you staring at me, stop." He demanded, sitting up straight and looking at Hunter.

The Hunter crossed his arms. "I'm not taking my eyes off you. I know what you've done."

"Technically you don't have two real eyes. You have one real one and then the other is a mechanical one." MJ corrected.

"Wow. I've read that you did have a problem with correcting people. Now I can confirm that that's true." Grian added.

MJ scoffed. "Oh shut up. Just because you read about me in a book doesn't mean you can trust it."

Iskall stood up straight. "I'd trust a book more than you of all people. And that's saying something."

MJ gave Iskall a look. "I find that personally insulting."

Grian huffed. "Should I tell them to include 'acts like a brat' too?"

MJ glared at the Watcher. "Watch yourself."

Iskall approached the villain. "No, he's absolutely right. You do act like a brat."

The Technician eyed Iskall. "If you value your life you won't take another step closer to me." He threatened, standing up, towering over both heroes.

Grian clenched his hands to fists at his sides as Iskall stood at least 3 feet away from the super villain.

Fearing for a fight, Grian relaxed his hands and got ready to use his magic to restrain the villain.

"What are you three doing?" A voice asked. The three within the room turned their heads to the person that spoke.

Standing in the entrance was Xisuma. He had his arms crossed over his chest. "Cool it you three. We all don't want to be in this situation but for now, just deal with it. Now come on, we're meeting The Lightning Theif and Plague in their warehouse."

After the Admin turned and left again, the three all wordlessly followed. Tension obviously still high.
