Until Death Do We Part (Solimajor)
Technically Scott and Jimmy aren't Hermits, BUT that doesn't matter so just bear with me because I love their relationship in 3rd life.
Idk what Scott and Jimmy's ship name is, so if anyone knows what it is please tell me! ^^
Anyways, enjoy this oneshot!
(Also happy Independence Day to other American friends!)

Jimmy's POV:
Jimmy walked through the forestry, a smile on his face.
He waved at Grian and Scar who sat across in the desert, setting up some sort of machine, and they waved back.
Jimmy couldn't wait to get home to his husband.
He was supposed to come back in a week from his trip, but Jimmy managed to get off from work so that he could surprise Scott by his early return.
Jimmy's face warmed even at the thought of his beautiful husband. Scott's melodious laughter filled his head, and Jimmy fiddled with his wedding ring.
Jimmy spotted his cottage home, smiling at the bursting colors of flowers and the trickling of the river and waterwheel.
He walked along the path, inhaling the sweet smell of home.
"Scott!" Jimmy called, beaming. "Scott, I'm home! Where are you, love?"
He walked to the entrance of the house, looking around for his husband.
Jimmy entered the cottage, stepping inside.
"Scott? You there?"
Where could his husband have gone?
Scott's POV:
To say that Scott wasn't doing well was quite the understatement.
See, there was something about Scott that no one knew about, not even his beloved husband.
And that was that Scott had a curse.
Back when Scott was on a different server, he was infected with a curse from an enemy sorcerer.
That curse made it so that Scott would turn into a monstrous dragon at the end of every month.
Scott had searched far and wide for spells to undo his curse, but no magic could ever fix him.
That was until his came into 3rd Life.
Scar had magical abilities, and every month, he gave Scott an elixir that helped draw back the curse.
Except this month, there was none left.
Scar had left the server in search for ingredients, leaving Scott alone and turning into the beast.
Thank god, Jimmy was on a trip.
Scott curled up on his bed, the cold, absence of his lover noticeable and painful.
Scott clenched his jaw, clutching his legs close in on his chest as if it would stop the pain.
Then, it started happening.
His fingers grew purple at the tips, sharpening into claws.
Scales began growing all over Scott's face, arms, legs, and torso, as well as a tail out of his back.
Scott squeezed his eyes shut, feeling the horns and wings painfully burst from his body.
He shakily opened his eyes, staggering over to a different room where a mirror laid for him to see himself.
Scott saw his horrid self, something he hadn't seen in so long.
His teeth were now sharpened and his eyes were glowing purple with small, slit, pupils.
He saw the ring still on his finger, and he tore it off, sobbing.
He didn't deserve that.
Not now.
Not like this.
Scott ran upstairs to the attic, hiding away, praying he would turn normal soon, just as the monster took over his head, now in control of him.
He was a monster now.
Jimmy's POV
Jimmy went into the bedroom only to find the sheets and bed undone, something that Scott never did.
He always did the bed.
Always scolded Jimmy when he forgot.
Jimmy noticed claw marks on the walls and pillows, and his heart pounded in his ears.
He began to panic, running throughout the house, following where the claw marks and fallen furniture led.
There was a mirror, slightly cracked.
Jimmy started to feel his chest tighten, when he stepped on something.
When he looked at what he stepped on, his breath hitched.
Scott's wedding ring.
He never took it off.
Now Jimmy was terrified.
What happened?!
Did someone, or something come in and hurt his husband?
Jimmy picked up the ring, holding it with shaking hands.
He felt tears rush down his face, as he stumbled across the house, following the trail.
It seemed to lead upstairs, and Jimmy didn't hesitate to follow.
Grabbing his sword, he trembled as he walked up.
And there, he saw it.
There was a huge dragon-like beast, perhaps about seven and a half feet tall.
It had purple and blue scales all over hit body, with huge claws and sharp teeth.
It had a tail and wings growing out of his back, not exactly fitting in the cramped space.
It's eyes were wide and glowing, with slitted pupils.
Jimmy gasped, tears in his eyes, "W-what did you do with m-my Scott?!"
The monster stared down at Jimmy, and something flashed in it's eyes.
Something...that almost looked like fear.
Embarrassment.
Shame.
The monster screeched, and Jimmy stumbled backwards, shaking, confused, and scared.
Jimmy backed away from it as it drew nearer, staring him down.
Then, Jimmy saw something in the monster.
It's eyes were purple, no doubt.
But...something flickered in them.
Almost...blue.
Not just any shade of blue.
Scott's blue eyes.
Scott's beautiful, beautiful, blue eyes.
Jimmy trembled, stuttering, "S-Scott? I-Is that you, l-love?" He dropped his sword to the ground, letting it clatter on the floor.
The creature froze, looking at Jimmy with confused eyes.
Blue shone through a little clearer now.
Jimmy wiped his tears and extended his hand towards it.
"Scott...i-it's okay." he whispered, putting his hand on the thing's face.
Where his hand touched, the scales started to fade, and instead was...skin.
Human skin.
Scott.
Jimmy shut his eyes, leaning his head to Scott's.
"Scott...please, come back to me. Please, come home."
Scott made a low, growling noise.
Jimmy felt Scott sink down into his arms, melting to his own touch.
Finally, Jimmy felt someone small and frail crumble into his lap.
Jimmy looked down and saw his husband, shaking and sobbing in his chest, clutching his shirt.
"J-Jimmy...I-I'm so, so, s-sorry..." Scott sobbed.
Jimmy wrapped his arms around Scott, whispering, "You don't have anything to apologize for, love."
Scott looked up at Jimmy. "B-But...you aren't mad at me?"
"Why would I be mad at you?" Jimmy asked softly, stroking Scott's cyan hair.
Scott looked away, crying. "...for lying to you. For never telling the t-truth about me! I-I thought that if you knew what I was..."
He stared at Jimmy with fragile eyes. "I was scared you would leave me."
Jimmy hugged his husband tighter, kissing his head, cheek, lips. "No, no, Scott...Scott, look at me." He lifted Scott's head up lightly.
"I'm never going to leave you. I love you no matter what happens. Okay?"
He smiled and kissed Scott gently again, tears running down both of their faces.
Jimmy held Scott's face in his hands, bringing him closer, and Scott responded by clutching onto Jimmy's arms.
They parted their lips for a moment to breath, laughing softly and breathlessly.
"You're stuck with me, because I'm never leaving, love." Jimmy laughed, wiping a tear from Scott's eye.
Scott giggled, "And I'm not leaving you."
Jimmy took Scott's hand, bringing his ring out.
He put it on Scott's finger just as he did the day they were married.
"Until death do we part."
:)
