The discovery

Multipul people woke up in a bustling library. One with a red jumper and grey jeans, one in a blue shirt with an @ symbol, and a creeper/cyborg hybrid. Their arrival caught the attention of a few people sitting behind a circular desk in near the front of the large library.

"Cosplayers! Welcome!" One of them shouted from the desk. Waving them over. "What can we do for ya?"

"Where are we?" Joe asked, readjusting the glasses on his nose and looking around the never ending library.

"Welcome to Hermittpad! The Hermitcraft side of Wattpad, although I would assume you guys know this existed since, you know, you're cosplayers."

"People cosplay as us?" Grian asked, slightly amazed at the community.

"Um...what?" Another person behind the counter asked. "No, you're a cosplayer aren't you? You build an amazing costume to be accurate to a fictional person...correct?"

"Last we checked, we're us," Doc commented.

"Okay, we got some weirdo's. Let's just have someone show them around?" Another one said, not looking up from their comupers.

"Yeah um..." the second person looked around, a girl with white hair, pretty purple eyes, and beautiful lilac wings walked past, "Maya! C'mer! Can you show these people around?" She looked up and smiled.

"Yeah! Of course!" She waved her way around others coming and going and made it to the group. "Hiya! I'm MayaTheWatcher, but just Maya works. Follow me and I'll show you around!" She turned and started towards a dimly lit hallway.

"Um, Maya? Mind explaining some things?" Joe asked, Maya came to a stop infront of the hallway.

"Yeah, what's up?"

"Why is this all here? Like, I knew we had a fandom, but this seems a bit...much? No that's not the right way to put it..."

"There's more people than you thought? Yeah, we get that a lot. The hermitcraft community is so diverse and amazing. People always feel welcomed. Down here," she festered towards the dimly lit hallway, "is the small creator community. People with a few followers and under-rated stories reside here. This is where most of my al stories are, and where I reside." A short haired dirty blonde with dassling green eyes, a red sweater and black leggings walked over. She also had large wings on her back, but they were a baby blue instead. She had her attention on her notebook as she walked over.

"Hey Maya?" She looked up and eyes widened at the group. "Oh, who are you guys?"

"These are new people to the community! What did you need?"

"Oh, hallo! I'm Larissa, lovely meeting you. Anyways, have you seen Maddie? I wanna talk to her."

"Um...check her corner, if they aren't there then maybe over in the more popular area looking for a book?"

"I'll double check their area, and if she isn't there then I'll look for them in the other hallway. Thanks!" She turned to walk back down the hallway.

"Wait hold on," Grian stopped her, "what do you all do here? Like, I know this is most of the community but what do you all do over here?"

"Well, I write short stories and stuff about the hermits, and I'm currently participating in different activities around Wattpad. I also support other people by reading their stories and stuff!" Larissa smiled.

"Oh, that's cool. And, everyone else here does that too?" She nodded.

"Mostly! There a alot of people who just read, or people who only make art. It's all so cool though. Maya's an amazing author and artist! You guys should check out her stuff when you're settled," she winked at Maya, who just smiled and shook her head.

"Right, don't you have a friend to go find?" Larissa's eyes widened and she remembered.

"I do! Bye! Hope you have fun while you're here!" She waved and walked back down the crowded hall.

Maya turned back to the group, "so that's Larissa. She's pretty cool. She's newer to the community too. Anyways on with our tour!"

Maya walked over to the next hallway.  It was much lighter. With loads of people, bookshelves lining the walls, and strange shadow people no one seemed to notice. "This is where you'll find all the more popular writers. they have really successful books and stuff, with loads of followers!"

"I don't think you understand-" Doc started, before getting cut off by a blonde in a white shirt with red sleeves.

"Hey Maya! Who ya talkin' too?" She walked over, holding a book close to their chest.

"These are some new people to the communi-"

"We aren't a part of this! We are the reason this exists!"

"Um..."

"Oh by the way, Larissa is looking for you!" Maya said, ignoring the outburst Doc just had.

"What Doc is saying, is that we aren't joining the fandom. We are the actual hermits," Joe clarified.

The two writers stared in shock at the group, everything clicking in Maya's mind, and Maddie silently panicking. They turned to eachother, having a silent conversation with their eyes and hand motions.

"What do you think they're talking about?" Grian whispered to the two with him. They both shook their head.

"Do they have magic power or something? I'm not understanding how they're understanding each other," Doc also whispered. "Maybe we take 'em to area 77?"

"Pardon!?" Maddie shouted. Obviusly they were done 'talking'.

"Mind explaining what that was about?" Doc looked at the two expectantly. They looked to eachother, then back at the three men.

"We should take you to the front desk..." Maya said hesitantly, as if she expected the hermits to prosest.

And they did, "wait why? We had no idea we had such an amazing fan base!" Grian backed away, looking for a different hallway to explore.

"C'mon, please?"

"I can help you," a girl with long brown hair, a black and lime green striped shirt, and a lab coat approached.

"Hi Moon, how do you suppose you could help?"

"Noooo, Larissa is great at persuading people. Have you guys met her?" The three nodded. "Oh okay, anyways! Yeah, she can get them to leave."

"You spoon, you just told them your plan!" Maya argued.

"Oh..." she though for a moment. "Well, Larissa could still be of use. I'll go grab her."

"Wait no-" but Moon had already receded into the shadows of the under-rated hallways.

"She's not coming back for a while, let's get tou guys to the front desk so we can send you back," Maddie said as she pushed the group towards the front of the library.

"Wait, you didn't have an issue with us being here before. So now that you know who we are, why is it a problem  now?"

"It's just, you guys are you. You're the fun, amazing people you are! And we write things about you because we kind look up to you, and we don't want you to judge us for what we enjoy to do. We just want you to go back to Hermitcraft and pretend this never happened," Larissa was the one talking this time. While she was distracting the three, Moon was explaining to Maya and Maddie the plan.

Maddie and Maya made their way over to the desk, and the people there immidietly pulled up admin screens.

Larissa, noticing this, smiled, "Farewell. We hope you had a lovely time!" Three messages were displayed on the screens of phones.

<Grian was kicked>
<Docm77 was kicked>
<JoeHills was kicked>

"Well that wasn't very satisfactory," Moon pouted. "It doesn't make for a very good book. The reader will be bored!"

"You plan on writing this?" Someone in blue asked.

"Nope," Moon smiled, winking.

"We've got another crazy," some said from the desk. "Take her back to her corner." Larissa pushed the mad scientist back down the maze of hallways.

"But just think," Maddie said after a moment, "what if we had accepted them like we do with everyone else? They might have liked what we've done."

"One can wonder," She smiled in the way every Watcher aligned with the universe would, "but we will never know the answer."

Shout out to everyone mentioned in this story! You know who you are. Also huge shout out to the Hermittpad team! I'm not sure who you are but I know you exist and that you're amazing people! I will be checking them out after this is posted.
