Jealously devours (pt. 2)

A quick few minutes and everyone was over at spawn island. The only thing is, they were the only ones there.

"If someone were to spawn in, where else would they spawn?" Jevin questioned.

"Shopping district?" Stress suggested.

"We've already been there. No one." Cleo said, blank eyes but a concerned frown on her face.

"And why should we believe you?" X immediately retorted. She was one of the hermits with the strange marks.

"X, We were just there. What's wrong?"

"You go from bullying hermits, to this strange you but not you. Most of you have these weird marks on your face. What's wrong with you?"

"You're a smart one, aren't you X?" False's eyes had a slight purple tinted as she spoke. "Quick to catch on."

"False? Have you done this to everyone."

"Well, maybe not that smart." Her eyes went back to their grey blue, and a winged creature appeared next to her. The creature had midnight purple robes, that pooled at their feet gracefully, lilac coloured wings where the tips would brush the floor if it hadn't been standing perfectly, white hair just as long as the wings and the defining feature was its mask. It was solid, unable to be seen through, and it had the same shape and symbol as the scar like marks on some of the hermits faces.

"Explains why we couldn't find anyone at spawn." Jevin noted.

"Who are you? What are you? Why are you here?" X questioned, attempting to keep his panic hidden.

"I am Gem. Leader of the many Watchers that has come to free your server."

"Free my server? You aren't whitelisted, meaning you're the odd one out here."

"We won't be here long. I've come to retrieve my Diamond. I had to use a few of your people to bring him back to me."

"Diamond? Who's that?"

"He's one of our more powerful Watchers, but he's caused some issues and run away. I need him back."

"You must be wrong," a few of the possessed hermits flinched at the statement.

The Watcher didn't seem phased by it though, "Trust me mortal, I'm never wrong. He hides under the name sun."

"We don't have anyone on the server named Sun, or Diamond."

"It's translated to Grian, Gem. I pulled it from this one's memories." Joe spoke, or, the one who had Joe's mind and body.

"See, now that Grian's lost all trust in you all, he'll come back to me."

"Is it a good idea for him to go back to you? The only information we were given upon his arrival was that his past server didn't end well. Are you who he's talkin' about?" Stress questioned

"Let me tell you the whole story," Gem sighed. "We help keep balance among players. When they need our assistance, we assist. When we saw Diamond on his server, we knew it was different. Admins have magic to some extent, but his was more powerful. We asked him to join us, and he did. His power grew stronger, but he started to see differently than us. And that didn't end well for him. He ran because of it, and we gave him time, but now he needs to come back."

A horse voice came from the back of the group, sounding like he's been crying. "I'm not coming back. I don't care if they don't like me, I refuse to come back to you."

The Watcher had a beautiful smile when she saw Grian, "Oh child. How I've missed you. But you don't get a say in this, you're coming back for the better of you and I."

" I'm just a tool to you! A source of power so you can continue your rule over servers."

"Diamond," she clicked her tongue disapprovingly, "don't make this difficult. You don't want a repeat of last time, do you?"

"What happened last time?" Jevin asked.
Gem sighed, "Do you have any idea how hard it is to take you back since I've left these three alone? They're never quiet."

Grian chuckled, "yeah, I know."

"They're annoying, come back with me and you don't have to deal with them!"

"Hey!" Jevin sounded offended at the comment.

"Quit with the weird obsession over my power! I did what you asked last time, and you still killed everyone on my server! I refuse to support you!" A gasp was heard from Stress when she heard what Gem had done.

With a flick of her wrist, Grian was enveloped in purple flames, unable to move.

'Suma immediately jumped into action, he had admin panels up to prevent Grian from perma-death, and a sword pointed at Gem. "Release him!"

"I'm not hurting him. I just need to give him a gift without struggling." She walked forward, handing a mask just like hers to Mumbo. He took to Grian, who looked like he was in between crying or letting it happen, and stood in front of him.

"I'm sorry for using your friend's body to do this, but it's for the best! You'll come back to us, and we'll be together again. It'll be just like old times, Dia."

Grian had tears in his eyes for the second time today, "Pearl?"

"Wait, what are you doing?" Stress questioned. Mumbo turned to look at her, then turned back to look Grian in the eyes. He placed the mask on his face, it sticking magically. With a whoosh, violet wings sprouted from Grian's back, a halo floating lazily just above his head.

"He's one of us, we just had to persuade him." Mumbo flashed a smile.

"Now we'll be off," Gem released Grian and waved him over.

"Nonono, this is not how this is ending! You can't take him!" X yelled, lunging to grab Grian's hand. Grian moved away, but the tears rolling down his cheeks told everyone he wasn't the one who made the action.

"This is how the story is ending. This is how his book is closed. You will see him again. When that time come? No one will know."

They vanished, the hermits who had been possessed immediately collapsed to the ground. The marks gone with the Watchers

I got a bit excided and wrote the next part... I figured this would be about 4 parts. I'm not sure how the hermits are going to get Grian back, or if they'll get him back, so if you have ideas then feel free to suggest it!

Have a good day/night and know you are loved <3
