Flurry to Fuzzy

The beautiful snowflakes flurried down across the sky as a pair of hermits trudged through the snowy weather. With a couple shovels and shulker boxes in hand, they headed up to the top of a white mountain to collect some snow for an upcoming project. The climb took a bit longer than the pair would like to admit, but they didn't mind. As they reached the top of the mountain and placed down their boxes, they began their work for the day. Moments turned to minutes, minutes to hours, and soon, clear skies to strong winds and heavy snowfall. The two gathered up their new found resources and plodded down the white mountain and to a small cabin they had built together.

The cabin was small, one room, with a warm and welcoming feeling as you entered its spruce door. The walls were lined with photos and drawing of past experiences they shared together. A few lanterns were lit around the room as well as a small stone fireplace that quickly heated up the tiny room. After a few moments of removing coats and making tea, the pair settled down in the comfy sofa that sat a few feet away from the bright flames. The sofa was small, most likely meant for one person but the two squeezed together regardless. Even wearing fuzzy sweaters in front of the fire and sipping hot tea, the closeness of their companion made them feel warm inside. More so that any flame could, their hearts burned a fierce and fiery glow whenever they were close, and a small candle's flame when they were apart.

They sat without speaking, taking in the sounds around them. The wind blowing agains the curtained windows, the spruce door that squeaked with every blast. They listened to the crackling of the fireplace, and the rhythm of their breaths. They heard the sound of a small ticking clock and heard the tempo of each other's heartbeats as they nestled close together. Their silence was a symphony to no ones ears but their own as the enjoyed each other's company.

As the fire began to shrink and the light from the windows faded to dark, the two hermits found themselves in complete trust and comfort with one another. The taller hermit stroked the smaller ones hair as they heard the breath fade from heavy, to light, and began to hum a soft lullaby. The smaller smiled and pulled the other close as they slowly but surely drifted off into a peaceful and content rest.

And now I ask, dear reader, who did you imagine?
