His Grace 2
Grian was moping. Short and simple. Sometimes you could find him just sitting somewhere looking up at the sky whilst toying with the wedding ring on his finger, so the cleverer of the Hermits assumed it had something to do with his husband they've heard so much about.
Some asked Cub and Scar about it, and they told them that Grian hadn't seen his husband for quite awhile due to them both having meetings and places to be at, at separate times no less. But they also heard the two Vex's mutter about 'powerful beings' and 'stop sulking and just meet up already' so they knew there was something more to it.
Anyways, the Hermits were soon all ready to go retrieve this husband just to get Grian to stop looking so goddamn sad all the time! Like now for example, it was currently a Hermit meeting and he was just looking like a wife worrying for her husband during the war, seriously this was getting ridiculous. But before anyone could say anything, like offering Grian to invite his husband or something, Herobrine joined the game. You know, the most casual of things to happen.
Before anyone had time to react Grian's expression did a 180 as he leaped up from his chair, elytra already on, before running out of the town hall before taking off. The shouts of his fellow Hermits fell on deaf ears as the Evoker rocketed towards the spawn island, but he did register the presence of his servermates approaching from a distance. Not that he had any eyes for them, no, his eyes were only on the tall, white eyed man on the spawn island. He gracefully dives, and just as the Hermits assumes he'll fall Herobrine catches him in a hug-like grip. No scratch that, it wasn't hug-like, it was a hug.
Grian's laughter rings out as the brine starts to spin him around once he's caught, the deep laughter of the taller man soon joining in as they slow down their spinning. Soon the spinning has completely stopped, but Herobrine holds on tightly still, "Oh how I've missed you."
"Maybe you shouldn't go around so much then." Grian teased, tapping the brunette on the nose with a finger, "Less missing me then."
Herobrine hums in pretend thought, before turning back with a grin, "Tempting, but I'm afraid I have a responsibility to my people that I need to do."
"I see how it is!" Grian says dramatically, crossing his arms and turning away with a huff, "Your care more for your kingdom than me, your own husband! I've got you figured out Craft!"
They keep silent eye contact for all of a few seconds before they dissolve into hearty laughter and giggle once again, the dirty blond of the duo leaning against the others shoulder. Only when Grian has been let down on the ground again does the laughter subside, and even then there are still scattered chuckles from the two.
Herobrine leans down and rests his head on the other's forehead, more specifically the diamond shaped marking hidden behind hair that was there, hands intertwined with Grian's own, "All jokes aside, I promise to be around more. My responsibilities will not take me far for a while so don't go thinking you'll be alone for a long time." He glanced over, not that anyone could tell really, to where the Hermist all now stood at the shore of the island, some wide eyed and shocked, but also two knowing, "Though I've seen you've been busy in my absence, made some friends my love?"
Grian giggles softly, leaning away to look at them all properly, though he did not let go of his husband's hands, "Yes I have. I was visiting two young Vex's and their world, and before I knew it I'm asked to join. Oh I just couldn't say no! So much talent and such a closeness, I haven't had much of it all in one place before, I haven't felt it since my own days on my first server." His smile grew wistful, but there was also a sad tilt to it. Hero gently squeezed his hand, which earned him a happy smile, "I didn't expect to grow so attached, but I guess I underestimated just how easy I'd start caring."
"One of your many wonderful traits that makes you who you are." Smiled Herobrine. He turned fully to the Hermits, specifically looking at Scar and Cub, "He's been taking care of himself I hope?"
"For the most part, your Grace." Cub answered, eyes shining as he took on Grian's exasperated look at his husband's question, "There has been moments when he's been down in the dumps, but we've all done our best to be there for him."
Whilst this conversation was going on Tango was babbling nonsense to Etho, who gently patted the blonde fire elemental on the back in comfort, "My god how didn't I recognize him? He's the husband to my king, he is my king! My god I've been living on the same server as Netherian royalty for over a year, what has my life come to? Etho what do I do now? What the hell, what the hell." He breathed in deeply, eyes still wide, but a smile now adorn his face, "My family will be so jealous."
-Bonus!-
Herobrine had been going around for a long time, and he was honestly getting so sick of it. Even his normal so stoic guards were starting to snap, and who wouldn't after over a year of travels? But, it was all for peace and the safety of his people, so it was all not just for fun.
When he finally arrived back he wasted no time in falling into bed, and in his tired haze of a mind he couldn't think of how the room didn't feel like anyone had been there for quite some time. BUt he did notice the next morning, and he was sure to ask Mazack, the royal advisor and trusted friend, as soon as he could.
"A month into your business he left to check up on his old coven, and a week later he told us I was acting king until he was back. Apparently the admin invited him to the server. Though do not worry, he came back once a month and for any important meetings."
Of course Grian couldn't stay in the castle for more than a month with him there, "What server did he join? I think I should probably go say hi."
Mazack rolled her eyes, these two love full idiots my god, "It's called Hermitcraft, your Grace, they just recently changed to their eight season, if that counts for anything."
It really didn't but he thanked her nonetheless, and he also asked if she could keep being acting king for a day or two more, "Not like I can say no." She had said, but genuinely agreed to do so either way.
When Hero first stepped foot on the sand of the servers spawn island he couldn't help but feel the different forms of magic swirling around. His husband sure knew how to pick them.
When he sees his Grian falling from the sky into his arms he barely holds himself off from making a cliche joke, he was better than that. But barely.
As they banter he feels the other people of the server arrive, but he pays them little mind, his love wouldn't be here were they not to be trusted. And as he intertwines their hands together he internally purrs as Grian's and his magic swirl together again after such a time away from the other, it's a feeling without a description fitting of all what he feels.
As the bearded Vex tells him of what has been going on he can hear the fire elemental of the group muttering about not having figured out who his love was, not that he expected someone who no longer lived in the Nether to know exactly who Grian was, they did marry only six years ago afterall. He smiled to himself, best six years of his life ever.
Later that night, as he and Grian laid in bed together (he'd been allowed to stay for awhile on the server) he couldn't help but hold the other closer. This roused to smaller out of his near sleeping state, and blue eyes blinked up at him sleepily, "Ro?"
"Go back to bed, my sun." The brunette whispered, gently pressing Grian back onto the soft pillows, "Just thinking of how blessed and lucky I've been."
The Evoker huffed before tiredly throwing an arm over his bigger husband, "Think tomorrow, it's sleepy time now."
"Whatever you say my love." The Netherian king said, going under the blanket with his love and ripping around him gently, a hand coming up to gently caress soft hair, "Whatever you say."
"I say sleep." Grian grumbled, burrowing his face in Hero's chest, which received a deep chuckle in return.
Of course the meetings were for his people to keep them safe, but the fact that they'd also keep his love safe just makes it all the sweeter to him.
<It's a Herobrine x Grian fic AU! Woo! Don't know why I decided to make this ship (yes I do, I read one fic and was hooked in a second) but I'm happy I did, it was a fun ride :3 Plus it was a fun little thing to come home to finish after having to go home after starting to feel sick. Now! This was the last planned one-shot I have, but that does not mean request are open just yet, I'm giving myself a little break before diving into that. So maybe my Monday or Tuesday there will be a chapter called requests where you can submit them on, until then please hold it back for a bit!
Now with that I wish you all a wonderful time and that you all stay safe!>
