Blackbird 2

<I'm never listening to another Beatles song ever again. Not that I don't like the songs, not at all, they just give me to many ideas. So enjoy this nearly 6k songfic everyone! Also the song is Here comes the sun by the Beatles>

[Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo]

The first thing Grian felt was the soft wool of a bed. Which confused him greatly, he didn't remember ever going to bed.

He blearily opened his eyes to be met with a nicely decorated wood interior. An interior that was both foreain and familiar at the same time.

He looked down at the bed he was laying on, a very nice purple one, and it all came crashing back. Seeing his reflection, running to Scar, and the promptly falling unconscious.

Yeah, not one of his best moments.

[Here comes the sun, and I say]

He looked around the room and noticed his sweater, which he hadn't even noticed had been removed, laying on a chest with a few potion bottles and a note.

He picked up the note and read it:

If you're reading this then neither me or Scar are currently in Larry. But don't worry, we'll both be back eventually. Probably me first if I'm perfectly honest, Scar's  been doing goodness knows what with Cub for the past day or so. I'm getting off track, so let's get back to normal.

Take the potions when you're done with this letter, they're important to making you better so you better take them or I'm sending the crushes on you.

There's a nicer shirt for you in the chest, it's better for the jungle climate and more comfortable over the scabs and scars (scars which you better tell me about, because they don't look particularly nice). And it will be more comfortable over the bandages you'll be wearing. Said bandages is what I'm currently getting, so don't leave Larry! I have one of my wolves out front to both guard you and keep you company, I recommend bringing him in so you can both relax together.

-Xisuma

[It's alright]

Grian gupled, he was fine with being stuck in Larry, but explaining the scars? That wasn't on his list of favorite things to talk about, but X wasn't giving him much of a choice it seems like.

He went out with a sigh to retrieve X's wolf, at least it wouldn't be nagging him about his scars. He picked up the gray canine, noticing that it must either be a young wolf or a runt since it was so small. "You and me aren't so different in that department, are we?" Smiled Grian, cradling the furball closer to his chest. A happy lick was his only answer, an answer he smiled even wider at. "Let's go on then! I'm sure Larry is much more cozy than out here."

[Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter]

Grian had checked the wolf's name tag and  fell to his knees laughing. Of course she, he'd asked her for her gender, was named Crayon, of course.

"I'm quite sure you were deliberately chosen to guard just because of the nature of your life." Said Grian, gently tapping Crayon's nose with one finger. The canine tried to bite his finger when he pulled away, but he just turned it to the right which made the wolf miss it. He laughed as she crashed to the floor in a heep of wolf.

Said wolf huffed before standing up and charging him and knocking him on his back, his wings shifted in an unpleasant way but he didn't show it to the playful wolf, licking his face fiercely.

Loud, uncontrollable laughter bubbled out of Grian as he was smothered, not having a care in what happened outside of the safe space of Larry.

[Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here]

That very same laughter was what Xisuma returned to, also with an arm full of shulker.

"I see the two of you are getting along." Chuckled the admin putting down the shulker to greet the wolf that had just darted from Grian up to him. "Have you been nice to our patient Crayon?"

The gray she-wolf barked her answer happily, trotting back to snuggle with Grian once she'd greeted her owner. "Betrayal." Mocked gasped X, getting a huff from Crayon as she snuggled closer to Grian.

A bare chested Grian, might he add.

"Why are you not wearing a shirt of any kind?" Asked the helmeted Hermit. "You have clearly seen the note, as you've taken the potions, so why not take either your sweater or the shirt we gave you?"

Grian blushed a little as he buried his face in Crayon's fur. "I wanted to wait for you to get back with the bandages, so that I wouldn't be putting it on for nothing."

"Understandable." Nodded X. He quickly sobered up and grew serious. "But before I put them on, I think you should explain those scars on your back."

Grian sagged. "I suppose I owe it to you, don't I?"

Xisuma quickly shook his head. "No you don't, as much as I want to know I don't want to force you to say anything."

The dirty blond shook his head. "No, I'm ok with telling you. I don't like it, but I know it will do me no good to keep it hidden."

[Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo]

X sat down on the shulker he'd placed down to listen to Grian properly.

"The story is nothing extraordinary really." Started Grian, rubbing at where his shoulder blades met on his back. "I got it in season 6 from the civil war, and the newer damages are from a little scuffle from Area 77."

"May I look at it closer?" After getting a nod of acceptance X walked behind Grian to get a better look at his back.

And whilst it wasn't bad, it certainly wasn't good either. The middle of his back had a faded burn mark that covered a lot of area, and over it what seemed to be lightning scars twisted along his back narrowly missing the base of his wings, thank god for small miracles.

If he'd have to guess, team S.T.A.R's ghast cannons were responsible for the burns, and since the lightning one was from the time of Area 77, that left Doc as the obvious choice.

"How do you have these?" Asked X gently, tracing a line of scarring softly as to not hurt Grian. "Does anyone even know you have them?"

The shake of Grian's head was his answer.

"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Asked X. "We could have helped you."

"Impulse and Doc would have felt guilty." Explained Grian sadly. "I didn't want them to feel bad."

Xisuma managed a bittersweet smile, of course Grian wouldn't want anyone to blame themselves

[Here comes the sun, and I say]

"May I ask how you still have them?" Asked the admin, looking a bit sheepish for asking all these questions.

Grian simply chuckled and nestled more into Crayon. "Ever since I got my wings my back has been bruising easier, I'm guessing it has something to do with that."

Xisuma nodded at that, he didn't know what it could be either and the builders theory didn't seem that far fetched. "Well, moving away from the scars let's focus on what's happening here and now, yes?"

"Sounds good to me." Agreed Grian, shooking Crayon off his lap and moving to the bed. "So what will you be doing exactly?"

X chuckled at his short friend, the nervousness was practically shining off of Grian. "I'll be putting a cream on your scabs before wrapping that is waterproof and durable bandages. And that's all I will do."

Satisfied Grian nodded. "Alright, that sounds good."

"You ok for me to start?"

"Yeah, I want this over with quickly."

"Figures. Well, I'll be quick then!"

[It's alright]

X was actually a very good "nurse". He was gentle when wrapping the bandages, which Grian didn't see why that was needed, and made sure that they fit comfortably on Grian. After he had wrapped the scabs he went over to the chest and picked up both Grian's sweater and the shirt in the chest.

The sweater had clearly been washed, as it was way less dirtier than it had been when he first arrived. And the other shirt was a loose dull red blouse with loose elbow length sleeves.

As much as Grian loved his sweater, he had to admit that the blouse would be a nice thing to wear in the jungle. So in the end he picked the blouse. And it was honestly very nice, it didn't rub any scar or scab in any major way.

Xisuma told Grian he looked good in it, Crayon barked in agreement to her owner's words. Grian gave them both thankful smiles.

"Hey X? Can you tell me what's been going on the past week or so?"

[Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces]

Etho and the rest of the nHo members were sitting around Beef's dinner table, all wearing puzzled and thoughtful expressions.

"So." Started Bdubs. "The rest of you have also been visited by Scar and Cub?"

"Yeah." "Hmm." "Yes."

Ah sighed. "Did they tell any of you why?"

Beef scoffed. "They hardly even asked questions if I'm honest. They just came, said a few things, and then left without explanation."

"I think they were trying to figure out why Grian disappeared." Suggested Etho, thinking back to his talk with the two.

"What makes you think that?" Asked Beef.

"Well they asked me when I'd last talked to Grian and what we talked about."

Bdubs looked interested at that. "You've talked to Grian?"

"Yeah, he went to me for redstone help." Confessed the light gray haired man. "He's a real nice guy, and a surprisingly good listener despite what I've been told."

Doc looked at him with shock. "Grian listened to you when you taught him redstone? How? He never listened when Mumbo or Iskall showed him, and he was only half paying attention when I was teaching him."

Bdubs added on to what the creeper was saying. "Yeah! For as much as the two of them hung out, Grian rarely ever learnt anything."

"Well I don't know how." Shugged Etho before looking over at Doc. "And the two of you hung out a lot? I didn't expect that, I sure I haven't seen you two interact at all."

"They were practically inseparable for like the last two months of the server." Informed Bdubs cheerily. He then sobered up slightly and turned back to Doc. "But yeah, I also haven't seen you interact -and I'm your next door neighbor!"

Something in the back of Etho's head told him all of this was very important, but he had no clue what it was important for. So he stored the conversation in his mind and just talked to his friends about Scar and Cub, and guessing who else they'd gone to.

[Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here]

Xisuma was in the middle of talking about his base progress when the front door of Larry opened. He didn't think much of it, believing it to be Scar who was finally returning, until Grian froze mid sentence.

This made X turn around to see why his dirty blond friend had frozen. He had expected maybe a mob of some kind, not Cub.

"Cub! Scar's not here at the moment." Said X, jumping up to stand and hopefully block Grian from view. Crayon trotted up to stand next to him, placing herself in between the newcomer and the other two in the room.

"I know Grian's here X." Sighed the bearded man, looking slightly regretful. "Scar told me."

"Scar?" Asked Xisuma, more to himself than to Cub. "He told you? He promised he wouldn't!"

"Don't blame Scar, X. I saw that he was acting off yesterday so I made him tell me what was bothering him." Rushed Cub, not willing to put any undeserved blame on his boyfriend. "So if you wanted to punish Scar, then do so to me instead."

The admin sighed. "I'm not going to punish you Cub." He looked up with a half glare. "As long as you don't tell anyone else Grian's here."

"I promise not to tell." Promised the blue eyed man, eyes and tone sincer.

"Good." Smiled X. "Want to join us? We're talking bases, and I'm hearing that you've made good progress on your pyramid."

And so the three launched back into base talk, Cub even showing off his new clothing design ideas. Grian gave him some advice for good things he could use on the server, but he also recommended some fabrics from stores outside of Hermitcraft. X offered to help with the head piece, as he was the most familiar with the area.

[Here comes the sun]

Scar bid Zedaph goodbye as he left the blonds cave base, proud that he at least managed to sell a crystal to the man.

He hadn't really gotten any of the information he wanted, but he had gotten some rather interesting info, and not just from Zed. The entirety of team ZIT had acted very worried, more so than any regular servermate or friend would, when he brought up Grian's disappearance.

And as someone who had acted just like them back in season 5 when Cub was in a dangerous situation and he couldn't really help, deep worry for a crush/lover. So in conclusion; Our favorite trio wanted to form a quartet.

Seeing as they were the last people he needed to talk to, he headed back to Larry. Halfway there he remembers that Cub went back before him, and that he'd also told said man about Grian even though he wasn't supposed to. Oh boy, that's not going to be fun.

[Here comes the sun, and I say]

Scar had though he'd return to Larry to see a lot of things, but this? He most definitely hadn't even thought of this for a second.

Cub standing in the middle of the room, Grian was measuring his body whilst X was sitting in a corner with a notebook and pen in hand. Cub was also quietly grumbling about Grian already having his measurements, but a smack from the small Hermit silenced him.

Scar even started laughing out of surprise, which startled Cub which then made him smack Grian in the face. This in turn made Scar laugh even more.

Scar managed to calm down enough to greet everyone, and apologize for startling Cub. His boyfriend accepted first, Grian did after a few minutes, and X just looked at him.

He could just feel the disappointed-by-what-you've-done-but-I'm-not-mad look through the admins helmet.

"I'm sorry!" Squeaked Scar, fidgeting nervously with his hands.

Xisuma looked at him for a few more moments before cracking, giggling to himself. "Sorry, sorry! I couldn't help it! Your face was just too good!"

Scar just huffed, but a smile started to form on his face.

There was a nice feeling in the air, but Cub decided to break it. As much as he didn't want to, it was necessary.

[It's alright]

"Grian, I think it's time we talked about why you hid away." Said Cub, looking sadly at the builder. Said builder had by now gone from standing frozen to sitting on the ground with a lap full of wolf. "And you probably will just have to say if our guesses are right or not, since me and Scae have been out asking people questions."

The builder looked at him dumbfounded, they had figured out why he ran? How? Well, asking the other Hermits obviously, but Grian was pretty sure he hadn't given any of them any real reasons to believe he'd hide himself away. "Well, let's hear it then."

[Sun, sun, sun here it comes]

Cub and Scar went to stand next to each other, Scar to Cub's right and Cub to Scar's left. It was how they always stood, it was like second nature for the two. No I mean it, in season 6 the entire server nearly had a panic attack when the two switched standing places. Thankfully they remembered that it was April 1st before something very bad happened.

"We, the Convex, guess that the reason you hid was because of Doc and the nHo. We think this is the answer because for the last two months of season 6 you were inseparable, but in this season you haven't seen each other for more than a minute." It was Cub that had started speaking, and Scar finished what he was saying. "You too had obviously bonded over something, but now it seems like all of that has been swept under the rug. Is this about what happened?"

Grian couldn't believe it, they'd actually guessed it right! He couldn't do more than gape at them, which he stopped doing as soon as X commented on it. "Yeah, that's about it. Me and Doc had bonded  over a mutual situation, and we started meeting every week or so and bonded!" Tears gathered in Grian's eyes and he cuddled Crayon closer. "And he promised! He promised the meetings wouldn't stop. But look now! There's nothing! I've asked, but he can never make time. And god, I hate it! I feel so used by him, and I hate it because I can't truly bring myself to hate him."

The tears had spilled by then, falling into Crayon's soft fur. "So I ran. I ran and hopped to never have to see him again, or to be reminded that he was fixed whilst I was just stomped on more."

X wrapped his arms around Grian, gently petting his hair as he let the dirty blond cry into his shoulder. "It isn't fair! Why should he get what he loves back when I'm left to rot?! What makes him so special compared to me?!"

"Nothing makes him more special than you." Soothed Xisuma, still running his fingers through the shorter's hair. "And even if Doc was more special, that doesn't mean he's better than you. I'd even call him an idiot or a fool, for no smart man would abandon his promise."

Grian continued to cry into the admins shoulder, Cub and Scar soon joined them on the hug too.

"I'm so sorry he did this to you Passer." Cooed Scar softly, bringing his hand up to stroke Grian's hair comfortingly too. "We promise he won't walk easy, he's hurt you far too much for just a normal prank punishment."

"I'd be disappointed if you just pranked him like normal." Laughed Grian quitely, though there were still some tears. The other three laughed along with him.

[Sun, sun, sun here it comes]

"We should probably say I'm back." Mummuled Grian, patting Crayon's head nervously.

The others looked at him seriously. "Are you sure that's what you want?" Questioned Xisuma. "You did just wake up earlier this morning."

Grian nodded at him. "Yes, I'm sure. I can't hide forever." His expression grew blank for a few seconds before going back to normal. "But could you, uh, maybe tell them without me? I don't think I can face Doc just yet."

Xisuma nodded at that, he didn't see anything wrong with that. "Alright, that can be arranged." He looked over at the Convex. "Can you two retrive the crushes? And I trust you also know who they are?"

The two nodded before scampering out the door, they had a trio to get!

Grian looked on, mortified, as they left. "They know about my crushes?"

"The whole server knows!" Said X, throwing his arms out. "Well except the three of them, but they've acknowledged that there's something there.

Grian let out a suffering sigh as he buried his face in gray fur. Crayon looked at him weirdly before turning to X with the same face.

"Don't worry about him." Reassured the admin. "He's just in love."

The dirty blond glared up at him from where he was hidden in the fur. "I don't like you anymore."

"That's fair."

[Sun, sun, sun here it comes]

Tango didn't know why Cub and Scar needed him to follow them, or why they went to pick up Impulse and Zed on the way. Not like he was complaining about the last part, it just confused him.

Neither of his boyfriends knew why they'd been chosen by the two Vex's either, so they'd all just have to figure it out together.

The trio followed the duo through the jungle and to the plot of land where Larry was. As much as the snail house was an amazing build, they didn't see why they needed to be here.

"Just walk in." Smiled Scar, eyes alight with happiness. "You won't regret it one bit."

Team ZIT looked a bit uncertain, but decided to go in anyway. Not that they'd be allowed to leave, if the looks from Cub and Scar were anything to go by.

Impulse walking first, which meant he was the first to see the people inside. "Grian!"

He charged at his ex-hippie buddy, being careful as to not hurt anyone or anything. The dragon hybrid brought the builder into a tight hug, tears pricking at his eyes. "You here! You're actually here! God, I've missed you."

Twin gasps echoed before Tango and Zedaph alos hugged Grian, wrapping him in a ZIT burrito.

X walked around them and to the door opening where Cub and Scar stood. "Are you sure they aren't dating?"

"They aren't now." Confirmed Cub, a smirk playing at his lips. "Can't say the same about later in the week."

[Sun, sun, sun here it comes]

"Where have you been?" Asked Tango, cradling Grian's face in his clawed hand.

"My base." Admitted Grian, looking away from the three's faces.

The demon frowned at the action. "Hey, none of that now. We're not mad, no one is. I'm sure you had your reasons for hiding, and I won't pry about it if you don't want to tell us."

"Yeah!" Agreed Zedaph. "You feeling and being comfortable is more important than you telling us why."

"I'll tell you." Said Grian, looking into all three's eyes and showing his sincerity. "You deserve the truth."

And so he told them. Explaining about the reasoning for his and Doc's meetings, which he hadn't told X and the Convex, and about their deal too. And then about Doc's actions on season 7, about ignoring these in favor of the nHo. All three ZIT members we're very happy with Doc and his actions at the moment, but pushed it down to comfort Grian.

"Can I take a look at your wings?" Asked Zedaph softly. "I read up about bird behaviors awhile back and I heard that picking feathers is something birds do. So could I...?"

Grian didn't give a verbal answer and chose to instead spread out a wing to present it to them. It was still missing a lot of feathers, but there weren't any bent or broken ones stuck in it as he'd gotten rid of those already.

Zedaph gingerly stroked the wing, slowing where he could see that there were feathers missing clearly before continuing on. Tears gathered in his eyes as he passed along a spot where there was still dried blood on a group of feathers. "Oh Angel, I'm so sorry."

"Why are you sorry?" Asked Grian, taken aback by the sad apology. "You haven't done anything!"

"That's it! We didn't do anything!" Cried the blond. "We let you suffer, and none of us saw it."

"Well how could you? You didn't see it!"

"But we should have." Said Zedaph sadly.

Grin looked curious. "Why should you have? No one else saw it, so why should you three have seen it?"

Impulse laughed softly. "Grian, haven't you figured it out?"

"What?" He looked around at the three taller men. "Figure what out."

"We love you." Declared Tango. "All three of us."

[Sun, sun, sun here it comes]

Grian was silent for a few minutes, eyes wide the entire time. Finally he spoke up. "You all, love me? As in the romantic way?"

"Exactly." Smiled Tango.

A happy laugh left Grian, eyes brimming with happy tears. At first ZIT thought they upsetted him in some way, but they were proven wrong when he launched himself at Impulse and captured the man's lips in a kiss. It wasn't a technically amazing kiss, but in every way it matters it was. And Impulse was pretty sure he could do this forever.

Unfortunately for him, Tango ripped Grian away from him to kiss the little gremlin himself.

And once he was done, or at least done in Zedaph's eyes, he was handed to the second blond of the group.

And after breaking away from the last kiss, for the here and now that is, Grian snuggled up to the three.

"Is that a confession of returnt feelings or...?" Teased Tango, caressing Grian's cheek gently.

"That's a yes." Laughed Grian, placing his hand over the one Tango had on his cheek.

"Yes!" Cheered Scar, startling the group of four. "Oh, sorry! Anyways, yes! No more longing heart eyes!"

Laughter, plus barking, filled the little snail house. There would be a server meeting, just not today. Today was a day of joy, and no meetings would be in the way to stop that.

[Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting]

Today was "just not today" and Grain was nervous. Even though he wasn't going to said meeting doesn't mean it was any less nerve racking. He would be back at Zed's base, waiting for his boyfriends to return with news on how it went.

He prayed that no one did anything to hurt Doc. Sure he wasn't very happy with that, but that doesn't mean he wanted the German hurt.

He waited for around 2 hours before team ZIT came back.

"How did it go?" Asked Grian anxiously.

"As you'd expect." Answered Impulse. "Everyone wanted to see you, people were a little displeased with Doc for his actions, that kind of stuff."

"He wasn't hurt, was he?" Fretted the dirty blond, worry in his violet eyes.

Tango pressed a kiss to his temple. "No he wasn't hurt. Well his pride might be hurt, as the other nHo members were dragging him off to have a good talking to. But no physical harm befell him."

"Good!" Chirped Grian. "Now come on! I want some cuddles."

"As the sir wishes." Tessed Tango, following after Grian like a puppy.

[Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear]

It had been three days since the meeting and Grian was going to the shopping district. He was with Tango, as he still wasn't very comfortable being alone when Doc could show up at any moment and bring back bad memories.

He was both excited and nervous, though more excited than nervous. It wasn't like they were going to be there long, they were just there to pick up some slime from Iskall and to check up on Tango's shop.

They didn't see anyone until they were heading to the boat they'd arrived on, since the team ZIT bases were close to the shopping district that was the most convenient and fastest way there, when they stumbled upon Etho and Beef.

Grian had expected the two to drag him into a conversation and make him talk, but they just exchanged niceties and a few waves. And that was it, no long talks or attempts at making him talk, just a casual greeting.

Tango saw his confused expression and explained. "We all agreed to treat you like you'd never really gone, we thought that would make you the most comfortable."

"Thanks." Said Grian sincerely.

[Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo]

Etho watched Grian leave, eyes following the builder as he disappeared over the water. "Did you see his wings?"

Beef looked at him quizzly. "Well yeah, they are kind of attached to him so it's hard not to-"

"No, I know that." Interrupted the redstoner. "But did you see the state they were in?"

Beef was pointedly not looking at Etho. "It was hard to miss."

"You're not reacting at all to it! Why?"

"I already knew what they'd look like, I knew three days ago."

Etho looked at him with a frown. "How? They didn't disclose any information about Grian's health."

"I read books about animals." Was Beef's reply. His mood and demeanor turned more happy quickly after that. "Now come on! We have stuff to buy!"

[Here comes the sun, and I say]

Doc hadn't expected Stress to be waiting outside of his half of the mansion with a diamond block in her hands. But here he was, in that exact circumstance.

He noted her impatient face and swiftly made his way down to her. "Stress, what may I do for you?"

"Fix your mess." Hissed Stress, throwing the diamond block in his face. He caught it expeleartly, and he noticed the engraved 'Goatfather's Favor' that he himself had carved.

"What do you mean?" Asked Doc, holding the block tightly in his hands. He knew what she meant, he just didn't want to admit to fucking up so badly.

She looked at him with narrowed eyes, though there was something soft behind the cold brown orbs. "Don't play with me Doc, you know what I'm talking about! You need to get this fixed, for both Grian and yours sake."

He huffed and looked away from her. He would, but he couldn't bring himself to see what he'd done.

"If you continue like this you'll eventually break!" Cried Stress, just wanting Doc to at least try mending his relationship with Grian.

"How can I?!" Shouted Doc, looking at her desperately. "I broke him, left him like an old broken toy as soon as I got new ones! How could he ever want to even talk to me after that?"

"Don't put words in my mouth, Doc Monster." Said Grian, starling both Doc and Stress. "It will do you nothing but harm."

[It's alright]

A silence fell over the three, no one making a sound. Doc took the opportunity the silence gave him to study Grian. The dirty blond was thin, his skin was slightly gaunt but it wasn't very noticeable on a first glance. His hair was longer, reaching the builders shoulders.

The two biggest changes were his wings and clothing. For starters no one in their right mind would say that Grian's wings were suitable for flying in their current state, to much damage plus to many fetahers which had yet to regrow. And he now wore a blouse instead of a sweater, though it fit him just as well.

It was Grian who broke the silence. "Can you please leave us Stress? I'd like to talk to him alone if that's alright."

The former ice queen gave him a curt nod and a smile, giving Doc a smile too. Once she'd disappear from the horizon Grian turned back to the creeper hybrid. "May I ask why you declined all of my requests of meeting up?"

He wanted to lie, say he had no idea, but he couldn't bring himself to do that. "I wanted to spend as much time with my friends as I could, I hadn't seen them for so long and I was scared to lose them again."

A hum was his answer. "Did you realize what you were doing?"

"No."

"Are you still my friend?"

Doc was startled by the question. "Of course!" He then more quietly asked, "Are you still my friend?"

"Naturally." Responded Grian without hesitation.

"Wait-really?" Asked a startled Doc. "After all I've done, you're so sure you still want my friendship?"

"Yes." Grain got a small warm smile on his face as he looked at Doc. "I've had three days to think this over properly, and I've come to the decision that if I was in your place I would have done something very similar to what you've done. And I'm not going to blame you if I know I would do the same thing in your position."

Doc wrapped the dirty blond in a tight hug, tears pricking at his eyes. "Thank you kleiner Bruder, thank you so much."

Grian hugged the brunette back. "No problem ʖ╎⊣ ʖ∷𝙹ℸ ̣ ⍑ᒷ∷, no problem at all."

[Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo]

Etho patted himself on the back, Gridoc friendship restored! "Who knew it would be that simple?"

"Literally everyone." Grumbled Beef, though a happy smile crept onto his face.

The new ice queen shushed him. "Shhh, let me have this."

The brunette huffed, but settled down to watch the sweet reunion between Grian and Doc. "Hey, should we really be watching this?"

Etho hummed in though before letting his shoulders sag. "I guess not." He stood up with a sigh. "Alright then! Let's go do other stuff!"

[Here comes the sun]

Grian flopped onto his bed later that night with a happy smile on his face.

"I'm taking things went well?" Asked Tango, laying down next to the dirty blond.

"Yeah!" Smiled Grian. "We talked it out for the most part. I mean, things will never be like before but we're doing a good job at mending it at the moment."

"That's amazing!" Cheered Impulse, walking in with Zedaph in toe. He placed down a second bed next to the one Grian and Tango shared, giving him and Zed a good place to lay down next to their boyfriends. "I'm happy for you."

"I'm happy too." Said Grian, snuggling into Tango's warm chest. "And not just because of Doc."

"Good." Purred Tango, wrapping his arms around the builder. "Means we're doing our job right."

Grain giggled. "Now who said it was because of you three?"

"Who else?" Wondered Zedaph plfully.

"Someone." Yamned the dirty blond, closing his eyes.

Impulse chuckled at the sleepy man. "I think someone's tired."

"Me!" Called Zed, wrapping his arms around Grian and Tango as best as he could. "I'm tired!"

Quiet laughter filled the room, trust Zedaph to make them all laugh. They all eventually settled down, Grian snuggled comfortably in a team ZIT burrito. He was also the first to fall asleep, Zedaph and Tango following after with Impulse as the last to lose himself to the land of dreams.

And to think, they were all so comfortable together even though Grian only started going out with them a few days ago.

[It's alright]

Things on the server mostly returned back to normal after that. Though every Monday or so Grian and Doc met up, sometimes the nHo were even allowed to come with their creeper friend. And Thursdays became date day for the newly named team ZIGT (name still a work in progress.). Grian of course also made plenty of visits to X's base to see Crayon, and the admin eventually decided to make the wolf a home in the shopping district and let her rome there, so that she'd get out and so Grian wouldn't be coming in and out of his base all day.

All was well on the server. And so it would stay for a long time, especially if the Hermits could do anything about it.

[It's alright]

<My mind is mush after making this, but it was so worth it! I'm probably going to avoid songfics for awhile. I'll try make some decent art for this, though I don't promise anything. And I think that's all I wanted to say!

Stay safe and have a wonderful time everyone!>
