A Hermit Gift 2

Grian was in the process of making breakfast for himself and Pidgeot when there was a knock at his door. He paused his breakfast making and walked to answer the door, and as he did so he was surprised to see Stress standing there. "Good morning Stress! What brings you here?"

The brunette blushed a bit as she stumbled over her words. "Well, um, I came here to tell you that I, uh." She stopped herself and took a deep breath before rushing out: "Thatiloveyou!"

Grian blinked up at her, cursing his shortness, with faint shock and a deep blush spreading along his cheeks. He recovered and a warm and happy expression took over his face, though the blush was still very much there. "I love you too Stress."

Stress didn't wait at all before leaning down and capturing Grian's lips with her own. The kiss wasn't very long, but it was everything to the two of them. It was sweet, soft and all around caring and full of love. Something the two of them could both easily feel through the kiss.

"Would you like to join me and Pidgeot for breakfast? I was just getting started." Asked Grian, motioning inside where you could clearly see the bird Pokémon was sitting by the entrance to the kitchen (just pretend he has one) watching the two of them interact, though he kept looking over at something out of Stress' eyesight. If she had to guess what it was then it was probably the egg.

"That would be lovely." Smiled the ice queen-turned-flower queen. "Think my Pokémon can join us?"

Grian noded up at her. "Yeah. Plus it's not like I'll be getting rid of Pidgeot over there anytime soon." Said avian puffed up his feathers, seeing as he'd heard what Grian had said.

Stress laughed as she fully stepped inside, and once she had closed the door she let her own Pokémon out. Her Honchkrow made his way over to Pidgeot, interested in the unfamiliar flying type. Frosmoth stayed close to Stress, though he was looking around the hobbit hole curiously. Ninetales (Alolan) explored, head swiveling around to look at everything as fast as he could. Petilil and Comfey both stayed close together and were near the table, but still not too far from Stress.

Said brunette is now helping Grian cook, though she leaves it mostly to him. He fills the silence with stories of all kinds, talking about the Corvisquire that he sometimes feeds, the school of Arrokuda that live near the shopping district, and about the flock of Mothims that have made a home around Iskall's tree. "I think I saw a little Larvesta with them!"

"A Larvesta?" Inquired Stress, handing Grian a bottle of spices. "What is one of them doing with a group of Mothim?"

"I have no idea." Shrugged the dirty blond, slightly shaking the spice bottle to put a bit of the spice in the pot he was making the food in. Some type of curry if she had to guess. "But the little guy seems happy so I'm not going to question it too much."

Ninetales had by now made his way back and was now nudging against Stress' legs. The brunette leaned down to scratch against the ice fox's ear. "Aww are you hungry love? Food will be done in a bit, promise." The ice type nipped at her fingers as she retracted them, making the woman giggle.

Pidgeot saw the fox's want for food, and noticing his own hunger the giant flying type walked over to one of the cupboards and opened it and pulled out all the food bowls. Which ended up making everything else in the cupboard fall out and falling on top of the great bird which made him let out a loud screech. Honchkrow cackled at his new friend's predicament, but after a dirty glare from the other flying type he walked over to help.

"And this is why we don't try to get stuff from the cupboard without my help." Called Grian without looking up. Stres was laughing next to him, though she took pity on Pidgeot and went to help him. The avian gently nipped at her fingers in thanks before turning on the dark type next to him and slapping him with his wings.

"Stress can you come help me set the table? And can you bring the bowls too?" Asked Grian. He turned off the stove and moved the pot off it and to the table onto the pot coaster.

"Sure thing Hun." Smiled Stress. She picked up the bowls and picked up the amount they needed before putting the rest of them back where they belonged. As she made her way to the table the Pokemon made their way up to it and sat around it. The table had enough seats that every Pokemon got one, well as long as Petilil and Comfey shared but they would have probably done anyways so it wasn't a problem, and Stress and Grian still had seats. She set the bowls down and then grabbed two plates and placed them down next to each other. She had just put down the silverware when Grian walked in with a magenta colored bag, which she assumed was the Pokemon food. She was proven correct when he started pouring it into the bowls, and as soon as the bowl was filled the 'Mons started eating it. Stress was a bit surprised when everyone liked it, no one seemed displeased.

"What is in that?" She wondered out loud, still surprised to see her normal very waring in taste Pokemon eating the same thing without complaint.

Besides her Grian let out a bright light, startling her slightly. "It's Magost flavored." He explained as he sat down on his chair. "It's nearly universally liked by every Pokemon. Though I could give them this until I learnt their preferences."

"That's so sweet of you!" Cooed Stress as she kissed his cheek. The caring act came naturally, and it felt almost as if they had been together longer than the hour or so they actually had been. "I'll make sure to get you my list of their favorite later. Now can you introduce me to my breakfast?"

"Of course! I have made us a Japanese shakshuka with bread, which is basically a tomato sauce-curry like thing with poached eggs that's served with bread or pita for breakfast." Introduced Grian, proudly showing off his creation. "I learnt to make this back in high school, and though it might not have been the best years of my life I'm glad to have at least learnt this."

Grian's high school days were something that was to never be brought up to him, and was to only be talked about if he started it. No one really knew what happened. But Mumbo, having known him during this time, talked about him drastically moving from Japan to Canada (fact check me on this, cuz I haven't watched any of YHS or it's related series in ages and I could be getting my facts wrong here) but that was all he knew.

So for him to talk to Stress about it, be it as small as it is, warmed her heart. She thanked him for the food before serving herself some, and as she took a bite she damn near moaned. It was glorious! "My lord, this is amazing Hun!"

"I take it you like it?" Grinned Grian, taking some food for himself.

"I love it! Ren wasn't kidding when he said you were a good cook, I even think he was undermining it!" Exclaimed Stress, taking another bite of her food.

The dirty blond bashfully flushed at her words and smiled up at her. "Well I aim to please!"

They ate the rest of their breakfast, well as much as they felt like the rest would serve as some other day's breakfast/lunch/dinner (long live multi purpose food), before heading to the shipping district. Grian wanted to buy a few things he currently didn't have and Stress was going with him. Theri first stop was at Beef's souvenir shop for wool, and in the end they both got one stack each, Grian pink and Stress got purple. Next was Xisuma's honey shop, Grian needed some honey for some snacks he wanted to try making for Pidgeot and as he didn't have any bees of his own he had to go buy some.

Unfortunately just as they were walking to leave it started raining, and I think a good description for it could be that every single legendary used rain dance all at once and it stacked. So it was in no way a good weather to travel in, even more so for someone who got badly sick of he got and for the egg too. So they decided to hunker down in the shop until it was either gone or more calm.

About an hour or so into their little stay a small cracking sound came from the egg cradled in Grian's arms. Both him and Stress looked down at the egg in surprise before looking up at eachother again. "Is it hatching?" Asked Stress with wonder as he looked down at the egg.

"Yeah, I think it is." Grinned the dirty blond, stroking the egg gently and whispering quiet words to it. And as if responding to the sweet words the egg cracked more, a visible crack now on the top. "That's it little one, just a little more now." Cooed Stress, joining her boyfriend in stroking the egg gently.

Her touch seemed to be the last thing the baby Pokemon needed to break free, and a red-and-blue face with big oval eyes now peard up at them. The little Pokemon let out a tiny "Arch?" as it looked up at the two Hermits in front of it.

"It's an Archen." Breathed Grian as he gently lifted the prehistoric bird pokemon into his arms. "I didn't know they could breed, I thought you could only get one from a fossil."

"Apparently not." Said Stress, bringing a finger out to scratch the little bird Pokemon under the chin. Archen allowed this but tried to bite her finger as she pulled away. "Hey none of that!" Scolded Grian, gently moving the red head away from Stress' hand. "We can't have you bite off Mommy's finger, now can we?" Archen keened softly, but didn't try biting at Stress anymore, instead he was reaching for the barrel with the honey in it.

Grian saw where the Pokemon was looking and pulled out one of the bottles he'd bought. "Is this what you're looking for?" Asked the dirty blond as he held the honey closer to Archen. The brightly colored flying type let out a happy cry as it reached out for the bottle but he fell short and tumbled off Grian's leg, thankfully it fell into his lap so he was safe.

"Oh darlin' you have to be careful." Cooed Stress as she gently picked the Pokemon up. "Come here, let's make sure you don't fall again, ok?" A small chirp answered her.

Grian opened the honey bottle and poured a little of it onto his hand, just to give the baby Pokemon a little taste first before giving him more. And if the happily wagging tail was anything to go by then it was a hit. He slowly fed her more honey, they also did a quick pokedex scan and found her to be, well a her, and she was soon doosing lightly in Stress' arms. The rain had stopped, but the two were content to just sit with their new Pokemon, well she was technically Grian's but Stress would be there so much Archen would practically be hers too.

"I know Cub gave me a bunch of Ultraballs, but i feel like she deserves something even better." Said Grian as he stroked Archen's head gently. "I was thinking a Luxuryball would be nice, what do you think?"

Stress pressed a kiss to his temple. "I like that idea, I even think I have one or two at base. And if not we can just steal from Scar, seeing as I know he has a few around."

It was by now that they had noticed that the rain had stopped so they walked out of the honey shop into the damp ground of the mycelium island. The air still held the lingering feeling of the rain so the two, three of you counted Archen, decided to head back to Grian's hobbit hole. On their way through the Nether they encountered Zedaph, who cooed over the sleeping Acrchen in Stress' arms and his Mareep "Eeped" a joyful as Wooloo tried to get Zedaph to continue on his way. They parted ways as soon as the blond had cooed over the sleeping baby Pokemon for a bit more, a yelled promise of baby-mon raising tips following them to Grian's hobbit hole portal.

On the other side of the portal Pidgeot was patiently waiting. And as soon as he saw Archen he let out a happy little thrill, wings flapping gently as he peered down at the little Pokemon in Stress' arms. Grian grinned as Archen nuzzled Pidgeot when the great bird leaned in closer.

He gently nudged the flying type away so they could move into the house. Stress immediately moved to the couch and Grian followed her to it, putting away the things they'd bought and also taking things they'd need. Once he had everything he joined his girlfriend on the couch. He was a bit surprised when Stress handed him Archen, so he asked her about it.

"I want to be able to hold both of you." She said with a gentle smile. "And if you hold him it'll be the easiest for me to do that."

They snuggled deep into the blankets soon after that, Archen as asleep as ever. Pidgeot saw this and decided that he too wanted to join in, so he maneuvered himself into the back of the couch so that he could wrap his wings around the three others on the couch.

Stress was surprised by the action but gave the flying type a pat of thanks anyways. She, along with Grian, fell asleep awhile after that, the sun falling with them. And if her Frosmoth made it out of his ball and onto the couch, then who are we to wonder? He can do what he wants. Plus Stress seemed more content too, so who are we to stop her from being even more happy?

<Chapter done! And I'm now one more one-shot away from being done with all my ideas that I have at the moment (only 8 more left!). Also I did more Gress! I don't know what else to add, so I'm just gonna say bye and the go relax.

So stay safe and have a wonderful time everyone!>
