The sky

For anyone who doesn't want minor spoilers for chapter 4 of TRMAS (since that is the chapter that's currently being written) I recommend skipping this chapter since it is connected to TRMAS.

This is your last warning, minor spoilers up ahead! Turn back now if you don't want spoilers!

You still there? Ok! Let's go!

"Do you think the sky is weeping when it rains?" That's the first thing EX hears as he stands atop the statue of Hermity, watching the dark rain clouds roll in.

"I don't know, do you thing they do?" He says back, not bothering to turn around. He already knew who it was, no need to check.

A short pause, "... I do"

"Why do you think it weeps?" Asked EX, truly curious.

"They weep for all they want to be, yet they can't. For what they do, yet almost no one can see past the clouds that cover there precious sun. It weeps because it's only liked at times, and hated at other times"

EX speared a glance behind him, locking eyes with the person behind him for a short moment before turning back, "The sky sounds lonely, and sad. Doesn't it have a friend to keep it company?"

More silence from the person behind him, "It had a friend, long ago... But not even the strongest of birds can fly forever, and as much as the bird may of regretted it he had to leave the sky. Leaving the sky all alone"

"Not all alone," said EX, "It still has the mountains, and me"

A soft chuckle, "You were being so philosophical, and then you ruined it"

A grin spread across the youngest Void's face, "Didn't want to be to nice, couldn't have you Hermits see me as to nice or you might actually hang out around me!"

"Oh no! What a tragedy that would be! The oh so stoic Xeres Void having feelings? Blasphemy!" The voice gasped in fake dramatics.

"Shut up prat! This is why I'm not nice! All I get is an annoying weight on my side!"

A giggle, "To bad I'm not leaving!"

EX suddenly grew serious, "You better not be, in any way of the meaning of the sentence"

"I won't, not after last time" sincerity, good, that was exactly what he wanted to here.

"Good, I'd hate to have to explain what happened"

"I'm hurt! I thought you cared about me! But no, you care about not having to tell anyone! For shame my good sir, for shame!"

A quite laugh, then silence.

...

"Xer?"

"Yes?"

"Can you promise me something?"

"Of course"

"If- if I leave for whatever reason, please look after him for me. I don't want him to just cope himself up and hide"

"Your not leaving anytime soon, in any way"

"I know. But if I do, for whatever reason, leave. The promise me you'll look after him"

"..."

"Please"

"Fine, I'll look after him"

"Thank you"

"Your welcome"

I'll look after him,

EX didn't except have to do it this soon. But here he was.

God, Grian why did you leave?

Please come back, please. Everyone's falling apart, I'm falling apart.

He needs you, so just come back. I'm begging you, please come back.

We need you, he needs you, I need you. Why did you leave? Why?

Somewhere else.

"Protect him, Xer. I trust you on this... Protect him when I cannot"

The sky shared its space with the sun, moon and stars. Letting them all shine.

But the sky got sad when no one noticed it, so the sky covered the sun and the moon along with the stars. Now they could see that, he too, was there. But instead of admiring the sky everyone were mad, they wanted the light not some clouds! So the sky weeped, it was so sad, no one appreciated it and only wanted what it had upon it. It's sorrow worsened when it was berated for the rain, couldn't they see how sad it was? Did they not care? The sky got mad, that didn't want to appreciate it? Find, it would make them regret that! It's weeping rain turned into a angry stoats thunder and lightning crackled. Let's see how they felt when no one took there feelings into consideration.

The people hid, afraid. The sky stopped, was this really what it wanted? To be feared? No, no it didn't. So the sky returned to doing what it use to do before, show the moon and it's starts along with the shining sun. It knows it will only be a thing that holds wonderful things.

So the sky was quite, not doing anything. Sure it would weep, it would be angry. But it would stop.

No one knew why the sky weeped, and they never would. Since no one bothered to ask, so the sky would be all alone in its sorrow.

At least until the outcast hermit upon his trusty mountain tall asked what was wrong, and then the sky had a friend. And it wasn't so alone.

God, this is shit. I mean, it was written at like 2AM so it makes sense.

And for anyone wondering what this is, it was s thing I found in one of my old school books from last year. I had a book I would write different types of prompts and one of the wad "What if the sky did weep?" So I decided to write it! And yes, this is cannon to the story of TRMAS. It might be mentioned in future chapters.

But that's all for now!
