The dragon and his dove

Grian knew EVO wasn't real, he knew it all was just a figment of his imagination.

He knew, because he remembers the accident.

He can see it like it all happened yesterday, he and his fiance where planning for their wedding in their cosy little cottage on the outskirts of town when a massive raid started. His fiance, along with all the other fighters, went to fight the Illagers. Grian begged him not to, they were after all in a world where respawn was fifty-fifty so there was no guarantee he would come back if he died.

His fiance reassured him that he'd be fine, and he was right, he would be fine. It was Grian who got hurt.

Grian had been helping people get to the safe room under the marketplace when a misfired fireball from one of the sorcerers hit him. Killing him instantly. And let's just say his death message sent a lot of rage through his fiance's blood, which ended the raid rather quickly. And once everything was over, he looked for Grian. But couldn't find him anywhere, not even out in the forest.

This left the knight broken. He had just lost his everything, his world. So for weeks he just stayed in what remained of the town, until someone came to invite him to join his server.

"Your WelsKnight, correct?"

"I am, and who might you be?"

"I'm Xisumavoid! And I came here to ask you if you'd like to join my server Hermitcraft for our 4 season?"

"...Sure"

That was the last the town heard off the blond dragon hybrid, he left and never came back. Oh how he should have stayed, for at least another few days.

Because two days after he left, Grian's body was found. He was in a coma, but he was alive.

The townsfolk wish they could send a message to the heartbroken knight, but they couldn't. So they were left with a comatose friend who's fiance likely would never know he was even alive.

Years passed, Wels grew more comfortable on Hermitcraft, and Grian grew more responsive.

Until one day, two years after the attack. When Grian woke up. The people of the town where so happy, but the dirty blondes first words broke their hearts, "Where's Wels?"

They explained what had happened, about the green clad man who invited Wels to his server. How he had left, completely cutting of any communication between them. How they found Grian two days after that. And how it had been two years.

And he in turn talked about his made up world of EVO, the healers said that it was unusual for comatose patients whose coma was an after effect of a death to experience such things. But they reassured him that he was fine, that it didn't mean anything.

And it didn't, it was just his mind trying to stay alive whilst he was out.

Grian stayed in the town for a month before he decided to leave. As much as he loved it here, it just wasn't the same without his Knight. So he set out on a journey to find his Love, he didn't care how long it would take, he'd find him if it was the last thing he did.

A year later a man clad in red found him wandering an empty world, though he didn't announce his presence for the searching man he stumbled upon. The figure had a nagging feeling that this was the world the Hermist needed to go to, that this person needed them. So he rewired the world hopping portal his brother made to lead here, this would be season six.

And a week later, just when Grian was ready to leave, the portal aperared. And out streamed the Hermits, though one stood out to him more than the rest, "W-Wels?"

Wels recognized that voice, and he recognized those russet wings, and those shining purple eyes, "Grian?"

Both just stood still for awhile, just looking at each other with disbelief. But Wels quickly broke out of it and rushed over to his lover, who he just seconds ago believed to be dead, "Grian! Om my god, your alive! Your here and you're alive!"

The smaller hugged the knight tightly, tears gathering in both their eyes "I am, and I'm not going away. Ever again"

"You better not," said Wels, contemplating if he should lock Grian away in a tower or not, he does fit the role, being part dragon and all that, "God, I've missed you. What happens to you?"

"I'll explain later," whispered Grian, "Right now I believe you and me have some explaining to do"

"Damn right you do!" exclaimed Tango, red eyes going from Wels to Grian and the back again.

"Yeash, if this is how they react to use knowing each other, then I can't imagine their reactions to use being engaged" smirked Grian, knowing full well that everyone could hear him.

"Excuse me, wHAT?!"

Wels chuckled at Tango's loud shout of shock, "Want to ditch these people and go where only we can reach?"

"High in the sky?" asked Grian, smirk turning into a love filled smile as his attention switched back to Wels.

"High in the sky" confirmed Wels, adjusting his chest plate so that he could release his wing properly. A perk of living in a town full of magic users is that you picked up a spell or two along the way, which is how he was able to hide all of his dragon features except his tail.

The two completely ignored all the other Hermits as they took off, Grian's russet feathered wings and Wels' golden scaly wings flapping in harmony. As they broke through the clouds the two couldn't help but to just stay and bask in each others company.

For three long years they had been apart, and they were once again complete. Like two puzzle pieces.

"Hey, Wels?"

"Yes?"

"I love you"

"And I love you too, my little dove"

Have I told you guys how much I like Wels x Grian? Cuz, I really like it! This wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be, but I still like it! So with that being said, have a wonderful time everyone!
