The book
"Is this really a good idea, Doc?" Asked Ren as he and Doc snuck into Grian's "secret" lab under the builders Hermitville base, they had seen him enter earlier that day with a peculiar looking book. And the builder had looked mighty fine suspicious while doing it.
The creeper didn't answer and simply shrugged, before moving to the entrance of the lab and moving in. Ren gave a sigh as he followed the taller down into the lab, rethinking his days decisions.
They looked around the room, but no weird looking book in sight, and the two were starting to question if the book was even down there until Ren spotted something up on a shelf. Quickly snatching it up and checked it over, this looked to be it.
Excited he called out to Doc, "Found it!"
The creeper hurried back to his wolf friend, grinning when he spotted the book, "Nice"
Ren handed him the book and when to leave, only for Doc to grab his arm, "Where are you going, man? We just found the book and your leaving?"
Ren scoffed, there was no malice in it but instead light amusement, "And have a chance of being caught by Grian? No way, we all know what he could do if motivated enough. Sorry, but your on your own in this"
Doc let out a deep chuckle, "Yeah, yeah. I guess your right!" The creeper hybrid ushered Ren to the exit, "Go then! I'll show you my findings later!"
Giving one last wave the wolf hybrid exited, leaving Doc to his own devices.
Pulling out his note book the man sat down to read through the, admittedly quite thick, book.
Looking at the cover he saw the Watcher symbol (not that he knew what that was. I'm just writing that cuz I don't want to describe it) and words in galactica, thankful he had brought his copy of the galactic alphabet with him in his notebook. And after a bit of translating he got out the word "Spells", so now he knows what type of book he's dealing with.
But the question is why does Grian have not only a spell book, but a spell book in Galactica.
Leaving that to be figured out later Doc opened the first page to start translating, lucky for him Grian had provide translations for the spell names so he at least an idea as to what he was translating.
But before he could even start his communicator dinged, he had gotten a message from Ren that read "Grian's in town, I can distract him for a bit, but not long. Hurry away from there!"
Cursing to himself Doc quickly took a picture of the page, not looking at the spells name, and hurriedly but the book back and quickly leaving.
And not even seconds after he left the house the flapping of Grian's wings could be heard, that was a close one.
He waited till nightfall to start translating, since Grian usually went back to work on the almost finished Sahara and usually slept there. So at night he was mostly guaranteed no disruptions from the dirty blonde.
Taking out the picture and notebook he got to translating the text, and to see what spell he got.
The first page read as follows:
Fusion spell,
Tier 1 spell, casting is: easy, no magic abilities needed. (On the side there was a little note written in English that read "Nice!", presumably by Grian)
Fusion can not be forced, and all parties involved must want to fuse or the spell won't work. The spell can work even if it's not done said in Galactica, but if that is to work then at least one of the users have to say it in Galactica, but there's also a second part that's covered by a note that said "Nothing importante, won't matter".
Curiosity spiked, Doc debated going back to check under the note. But looking over at the time quickly erased all thoughts of that, it was 5AM and Grian could be here at any moment. It wasn't worth it.
Translating the last of the text, Doc went of to work on some of his projects. He needed a break from all the writing so building and easy redstone would be a nice break.
But first, a nap.
...A nap that turned into a solid 6 hours of sleep.
Once he woke up it was already 11, cursing he flew out of the bed and made a mad dash for the exit. He was already 3 hours behind schedule and he couldn't waste anymore time just sitting around.
The text lay forgotten for most of the day until he returned at sunset, after which he studied and read the text over and over. He wanted to be as prepared for this as he could, not that he had any way to test if he was prepared or not. If Doc wanted to try fusion he'd have to ask Grian, and he was far from ready to admit to his crush that he had broken into his house and then snooped around his lab looking for one specific book. So more practice it was!
Weeks went and left, the little build of turned into a all out war that has finally ended. Natural Mumbo lost, and then it was a tie for first place.
Now that Grian wasn't so busy Doc had decided to ask if he could do the fusion spell with him, if not to see if he'd it right but to see if he was brave enough to ask Grian.
You see Doc has this enormous crush on the builder, and he's had it for quite awhile. It wasn't before the 'Kill a Tango' competition that he really came to terms with his feelings, but there was something about Grian's grin and laugh that was so mesmerizing in a way he couldn't describe in any way other the breathtakingly gorgeous. And the suit might of helped also, Doc really likes it when Grian wears different outfits because it shows of more of who the builder is and what he was capable of! The creeper hybrid really couldn't get the builder of his mind.
...Which became a problem when he almost flew into the one of the spires of Grian's towering base, luckily he managed to avoid crashing but his landing was a bit ruffed up from the abrupt movement.
Quickly composing himself Doc peered down into Grian's base, looking for the small Hermit. Quickly spotting the man, Doc jumped down gliding silently down to the bottom.
Getting an evil idea he started sneaking, it would be fun to see how high Grian jump when startled.
Moving in behind the dirty blond Doc almost couldn't contain his laughter, this was to good!
But before he got the chance to properly scare him Grian turned around and came face to face with Doc's chest, letting out a little squeak the builder turned his head up to look at the Hermit before him.
"Hi, Doc!" Greeted Grian, voice still squeaky, clearing his throat he spoke up again, "What's up?"
Doc let out a deep chuckle, "I'm glad you asked, man! You see there something I've been working on for awhile now and I need your help to see if I did it right"
Grian gave an excited nod, Doc usually made fun stuff so hopefully this was one of those things.
"Ok, so I'm gonna start chanting something if you know what do to the join in and ask questions later, if you don't know what to do then stop me, ok? And please be honest"
Grian was confused by the instructions, but agreed non the less. It couldn't be that bad could it?
As Doc started the chant the builder now knew that, yes, it could be that bad.
"By the gift of the universe I ask that the Great Mother may bless us with the chance for two to become one, the we may feel total connection. By the bond we share let us be one, let thy Great Mother grant us the gift of unity and let us breathe as one. Oh Great Mother may our bond be joined at the soul, may we prosper as one. We thank thy for the gift of unity, Oklaviden"
As Grian joined in a gentle glow surrounded the two, and as the chant finished only one being stood.
Two different eyes opened as one, two minds and souls joined to create one.
Doc opened his eyes to find himself in a dark room that looked to have a window out to the world, but there was also a presence in the back of his mind but he couldn't pinpoint who or what it was.
"It's me Doc" echoed Grian's voice, like as if it was all around him, "That's because I technically am, in a way, all around you"
"How?"
"We are technically the same person currently, so all my thoughts echo around in here and so does yours"
"Ok, that's a lot in one go. So we're now the same person?"
"Basically, yeah. Yeah we are"
"That's so cool!"
"It is, now can you let me take control of the legs? I want to see how we look"
"Sure, I'm also curious"
And like watching a movie from first person, the scene on the "screen" started moving like it was walking. They moved over to one of the chests and pulled out a full body mirror.
And Doc liked what he saw, light green skin, two sets of eyes, robotic parts in similar places that he had, fluffy two colored hair that was soft to the touch, pointy ears, clawed feet, dark blue ripped jeans, a red cardigan covered there otherwise bare chest, and lastly two dueled colored wings rested proudly on there back and one of them had robotic parts on the top.
"I see we got your good looks" commented Grian.
"My good looks? What about your good looks?" Doc fired back, if Grian wasn't seeing his good looks then Doc had to show him.
"I might have a few, but there nowhere near as good as yours"
"Sure, keep telling yourself lies. But I know the truth"
Doc felt Grian raise his eyebrows, but the builder didn't comment further so he took that as a win.
Finally Grian spoke up again, "What are we calling ourselves?"
"What?"
"Well if were going to go out like this we have to have a name, we can't just call ourselves 'Grian and Doc'. Any ideas?"
"Gridoc? It's both our names combined"
"Its an idea, but I feel like we can do better... How about Warlord? We where both leaders during the Civil war, so it fits!"
"Yeah, I like that"
"Warlord it is then"
A comfortable silence surrounded the two as they basked in the presence of each other, but that silence turned to confusion as there surroundings changed to be that of Grian's base but no longer through the "screen".
And before Doc could even process what had happened a soft pair of lips pressed against his rougher ones. His eyes closed almost on instinct as he melted into the kiss, he was sure that this was what heaven feels like.
And he was sad when his lungs demanded a separation for air. But the happy little laugh that Grian let out made it better.
Bring the smaller into his lap (when had they sat down?) and nuzzled his head into the builders neck, "Not that I mind, but why did you kiss me?"
Grian looked up at Doc with furrowed eyebrows, "Did you not read everything?"
"I did, but there was a note covering part of it so I couldn't see it all"
"And you didn't move it?"
"..."
"You took a picture, didn't you"
"Yeah..."
'Silly goose' muttered Grian has he gave Doc a quick pec on the lips. "If you had checked under the note it would have said that it could only work if you truly love the person you do it with"
Doc looked embarrassed for not checking under the note, when suddenly an idea hit him.
"Hey, wanna prank Ren as Warlord?"
"Isn't that kind mean? I'm in"
This has 2048 words! Wow, I didn't think it was that long!
Anyway, I would like to ask y'all to keep an eye out for a new book I've decided to call "Lessons with Indom" in the book I'll explain things like the spell book in this chapter but feel free to send in questions about anything that's happened in this book!
But that's all I have for now!
