"Are you sure you really want to do this, Grian?" asked Iskall, standing on one side of an open field.

On the other side stood Grian, "Yeah! None of you have seen what I can do yet! So I want to show you now!"

And he was right, none of the other Hermits had seen him battle, and only a few of them even knew what Bakugan he had. This was a long anticipated battle, and that's why every Hermit was present, this was battle you didn't want to miss.

"I do hope Grian knows what he's doing, Iskall isn't one to be scoffed at" commented Anchorsaur, floating next to Stress' head.

"Perhaps so, but we still don't know what Grian and his partner is capable of. So it's still all up in the air for now" added Ziperator, the Pyrus Bakugan having floated over from Mumbo.

"Will you two shush! It's about to start!" said Stress, excitement flowing of her in waves.

On the field, Iskall threw out is gate card and immediately followed it up by throwing out his Bakugan, "Rise, Aquos Hammersaur!"

The blue bipedal crocodile let out a mighty roar as it fully formed, tail swishing in anticipation, "Let's see what you got, Little brawler!"

Grian smirked, "Alright then! Go! Ventus Plitheon!"

Out of a green vortex, the green dragon like Bakugan flexing its wings as arose from the disappearing vortex, "I had hoped for more of a challenge you know, but I suppose you'll do"

Murmurs of awe broke out among the group, none had ever seen a Plitheon before. Well, at least not in person.

"Looks like Iskall and Hammersaur might be in trouble! Check out the stats!" exclaimed Tango, pointing to the screen displaying the battle stats. And sure enough there was a very visible G-power difference.

"How is Iskall planning to win this?" questioned Zedaph, his partner Avior made a sound of agreement.

"It's Iskall, I'm sure he'll figure something" answered Doc, leaning over the edge to observe the battle closer.

Speaking of the battle, it was just starting for real. "I'm sorry about this Grian, but I'm not giving you the win! Ability card activate, Shiny Devil!" said Iskall, a smirk forming on his lips.

Grian looked down at the battle communicator, "Alright, good move. But not enough I'm afraid"

The Swed laughed at this, "Good thing I'm not done yet! Gate card open! Aquos Reactor!"

"Now the battles starting!" called Hammersaur, the Aquos Bakugan taking a more threatening stance.

"How cute!" commented Plitheon, "But I'm sorry to say that play times over. Grian!"

"Got it!" called Grian, "Sorry about this Iskall! Ability card activate, Aero Dragon!"

Ventus Plitheon now at 1000Gs

"And I'm so sorry for this Iskall, but I really want to prove myself to the others! Plitheon! Destroy his Gate card!"

"With pleasure!" cried the green Bakugan, dive bombing straight to the ground, shattering the Gate card.

"Wow!" gasped Mumbo, "He just took away 600Gs in one go!"

"We know, Mumbo, we all saw it happen" said Ziperator, having floated back to his partner at some point.

"A clever strategy! Letting your opponent play everything and then immediately taking all away! A tale of gain and loss!" said Joe, dramatizing what happened as he did for every battle.

"I agree with the poet, it is indeed clever! Write that down Wels! We could use that!" exclaimed Wolfurio, Wels' partner. He soon floated back over towards said player, keeping up a tirade of 'Why aren't you writing this down! We won't get better if you just sit around and do nothing!'. The knight soon got so irritated by his partner (He was trying to enjoy some nice cooling shade thank you very much) that he grabbed ahold of the Haos Bakugan and shoved said Bakugan in a pocket, effectively trapping him in there.

Out on the battlefield, the battle raged on. Hammersaur was doing a good job at avoiding attacks, but for every strike Plitheon made he got closer to his target.

"Finish him Plitheon!" called Grian, wanting to get over with the battle so he could get on to building on his base.

"With pleasure!" cried Plitheon, diving down one final time to deliver the finishing blow.

And with one last cry, the crocodile like Bakugan went down. Going back to his ball state and returning to Iskall's hand, "Well played, Grian! Ready for round two?"

Grian got a confused expression on his face, "Uh, no? I'm really not up for a re-match right now, sorry. Maybe some other time?"

"I meant if you were ready for round two? Since I still have Life force left"

"Uh, that's really not how I play it I'm afraid. And I don't feel all too comfortable fighting another round" replied Grian, guilt forming, was he being a bad friend for refusing to fight a second round?

But Iskall didn't seem to mind, he simply reached out his hand and said, "GG man, GG"

As they the two of them were walking back to the viewing platform a black and green bakugan came flying over, when it finally reached the two of them it revealed itself as Aluze, Cub's partner, "What are you two doing? You aren't finished yet!"

"Ah! But we are! Grian didn't want to fight another round so we aren't doing any more fighting today. Sorry Aluze, but don't worry, there will be many more fights in the future!" said Iskall, continuing to walk not bothered in the slightest by the darkus bakugans mean tone.

Huffing, Aluze flew in front of Iskall again, "You can't be serious! You were the one to say that a battle should never be left unfinished! And you-", said the bakugan, turning now to face Grian, said man taking a step back, "Why didn't you want to battle anymore? That much of a coward are you?"

Grian didn't say anything, simply letting Aluze verbally attack him as he walked away from the battlefield. Bidding the other Hermits a farewell he took off to resume working on his base, he could faintly hear Cub and someone else reprementing Aluze but as he flew farther away the noise disappeared.

After landing at his base he set Plitheon down, doing a similar thing for another ventus bakugan. Unfolding himself from his ball from he glared at Grian (Or as well as he could in ball form, which wasn't very well), "Why did you let Aluze walk all over you? We could have taken him on! Showed him who's boss!"

Sighing, the hermit sat down on the floor, "I didn't want to start a fight, plus there was little he could do to me. You don't have to worry, I'll be fine!"

Before Plitheon could speak again, the other bakugan opened up itself and spoke up, "I don't think it'll be like that, he's part of the Convex, and there always up to something! You might have proven yourself by being the bigger man, but he'll take that as a victory. So Aluze will now think he's better than us, which is untrue. So I say we fight him soon so we can show him what where good at!"

"You know I can't do that Leonidas! I don't fight more than I have too, and even then I don't like doing it, so I'm not fighting him just because" explined Grian, turning to look out at the darkening sky.

"They aren't Sam, Grian," said Plitheon softly, making Grian freeze, floating over too Grian and he settled down on his shoulder, "They aren't going to hurt you if you defeat them, and if they are mad, then me and Leo will be here for you"

"I know they aren't it's just that it's hard to forget what Sam has done, I mean, we barely managed to save Rattleoid from Sam. I mean, who even thinks about destroying their Bakugan just because they lost one battle?! You'd have to be absolutely mental to do that!"

"What Sam was thinking we may never know, but what we do know is that he isn't coming back. He made sure of that himself when he used that doom dimension card," said Leonidas, now also joining in with resting on Grian's shoulder, "Now, off to bed with you. I don't wish to have a sleepy Grian tomorrow"

Letting out a little laugh, Grian did as told (Shocking, I know!) and headed of to his bed.

Watching their shared partner leave for his bed the two ventus bakugan fell into a semi comfortable silence, "You do know that he isn't going to head to bed, right?"

Leonidas nodded, "I know, why do you think I contacted Rattleoid and Juggernoid?"

"Alright, makes sense. Got anything else you wish to share oh wise one?" sassed Plitheon, fake bowing to the other.

Leonidas growled, why did he tolerate this nuisance? Oh, right, Grian liked him, "Yeah, I actually do. Want to know what it's called?" here Plitheon flooted in closer, was he really taking this seriously? "It's called shuting up, and I'd very much like you to do it. Now, goodnight"

Disappearing into one of Grian's many shulker boxes, Plitheon was left alone. Now that no one was there to bother him, he floated up to the Architech sign over the nether portal and laid down to rest. Tomorrow was going to be eventful, so he wanted to be as rested as he could be.

Now that this is all finished, I have more time for other stuff! This was more of a nostalgia trip for me, since this show was kinda my Pokemon (You know, that one show you knew a lot about as a kid and watched constantly) and I'm happy to have made this!

And if any of you who know what Bakugan is and have no idea who Leonidas is, he's your partner Bakugan in the consol game (And I'm imagining this Leo to be in his Omega form)
