Doc along with the rest of the Hermits were waiting for Xisuma to send them to their new world, and honestly? Doc had been thinking of leaving, but for good reasons. His husband, who no one knew about, not even Ren, had just finished up the last of his time on his server and was coming home. And Doc wanted nothing more than to spend time with him as soon as possible. But his little sparrow had convinced him to at least test out being in the new world for a little bit, since he wouldn't be home until a week later.

So that's why he was standing with everyone else ready to travel to a new world.

"Everyone ready?" asked Xisuma, though the creeper could feel the admin looking at him. So Doc guessed he knew what was going on.

A chorus of yes's echoed around the cave, one of the last sounds that would probably be heard in it.

"Then let's go!" (I know this isn't what X said, but I can't be bothered to look)

At those words everyone went in, completely unorganized. And Doc was one of the last people to leave the portal, but when he did, he couldn't help but gasp in shock.

There right in front of him stood his husband, a radiating smile on his face. And after months of being away from each other, he couldn't help but feel like his love was even more beautiful than normal. Like how the sun would cast a gentle golden light on his dirty blond locks, or how his smile could outshine the sun, or how is tail and ears would flick happily whenever he would look at Doc. Or how his husband was just a literal ray of sunshine, and everything in that category applied.

Has he said how much he loves his husband? Because he loves his husband very, very much.

So that's why he completely ignored all the other Hermits and immediately moved to encase his love in the tightest and most love filled hug in existence, "I've missed you, meine Schatz. So much"

"I've missed you too, Lover. How's everything been?" giggled the dirty blond, the sound like heavenly music to Doc's ears.

"Good, but better now that you're here" purred Doc, face softer then it had ever been on Hermitcraft before, "But how are you?"

"Wonderful, and not be a copycat, but way better now that I'm with you!"

"I'm glad," said Doc, burrowing his head into his smaller lovers hair, "I would hate to make you feel bad"

"Like you'd be able to, we both know you love me too much," said the shorter, a happy grin on his face.

"That I do, that I do"

A lovely and comfortable silence engulfed the two of them after that, which let them just bask in each others scents after months of being apart. They were only broken out their little love high by a loud fake cough. They pulled apart enough so that they were still holding each other close, but still close enough to be able to hold one another close.

The person who had coughed was X,. And once he had the couples attention he motioned to all the other Hermits, who all had their mouths hanging open. At the look on all their faces they broke down laughing, but unfortunately that just made them snap out of their shock, which meant no more funny faces.

"What is going on?" asked Ren, eyes wide.

"Oh! How rude of me! I haven't introduced you all yet!" grinned Doc, "Grian, meet the Hermits. Hermits, meet Grian, my husband!"

Silence for a few seconds and then, "YOUR WHAT"

Bonus:

A year later Bdubs arrived and somehow knew Grian very well, and of course the Hermits asked why they were so close.

"I was at Doc's and his wedding of course! Oh and what a wedding it was! You should have seen it!" and he just continued rambling from there.

And when asked why no one else was there, he just said, "They wanted it to be small, so they only invited the nHo and the Evolutionist and a close friend of Grian's, I forget his name"

(Somewhere in the world Mumbo smirked)

Let's just say that Doc was berated quite a bit after that.
