Despairs flame

Grian couldn't truly believe his eyes at what had happened, aircrafts in the sky, big fences (which didn't keep anything out) and a whole lot of security. How did it get to this? Why did Doc and Scar do this? All Grian wanted was his time machine and villager back, and they turned it into a fucking government facility later tuned amusement park. They stole something he made and they took and never gave back, even when he asked. All to make an amusement park. He was pissed, and he felt that some revenge was in order.

Flying to Hermitville he landed on one of the roofs beneath his dragon, placing a hand on the red statue of a dragon he started chanting in Galactica. And once he finished he could feel and see the red scaled creature waking up, it's sharp amber eyes focusing in on Grian.

No words needed to be said, the dragon was an extension of Grian himself, so it knew exactly what Grian wanted it to do, "Time to show them that this isn't some fairytale, and that their actions have consequences"

Climbing onto the red dragons back he couldn't help but to reflect on why he was doing this, and thinking about it more just fueled him to do this even more. He was done sitting pretty, time to show them the might of the Empires emperor. And let it be known that Grian was done playing nice, and that he doesn't mind a little destruction.

Seeing Area 77 come into sight he readied himself, show time.

Opening his communicator he set it to broadcast mode (a feature no one really knew about, much less used) so that everyone on the server could hear, "AREA 77, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU EVACUATE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING IMPORTANT IMMEDIATELY! I GIVE YOU FIFTEEN MINUTES! IF YOU FAIL TO DO SO YOU WILL GO UP IN FLAMES! THIS IS YOUR FIRST AND FINAL WARNING"

Most of the Hermits thought that he was just trying to get a rise out of Scar and Doc, so they ignored it. It was only when False typed in chat that they took it more seriously.

<Falsesymmetry> Uh, guys? I think he's serious

<Docm77> What makes you say that?

<Falsesymmetry> Oh, I don't know. Maybe the fact he's riding on a red fucking dragon looking pissed!

<Mumbo Jumbo> What?! You can't be serious!

<Xisumavoid> Where is he?

<Falsesymmetry> He's on the border of Area 77 in the direction from Hermitville

<Grian> Ten minutes left

<Docm77> Shit!

<Docm77> Scar, meet me there! NOW!

Running back to Area 77, Doc saw that False was completely right about what she said, because hovering over the border was Grian on his dragon and he didn't look happy, not one bit. And as Doc ran by the builder followed him with his eyes, and he tauntingly tapped at a non existent watch on his wrist, making a tu-tu motion. That made the creeper run faster, he had to get as much as he could into shulker boxes. Soon Scar ran in and started doing the same, but what surprised Doc was when Ren and Impulse ran in after him and started helping.

Seeing the confused eyes on him, Ren turned to Doc and simply said, "We may be on opposite sides, but that doesn't mean that I want you to lose everything you've worked so hard to get"

Giving the wolf an appreciative nod he continued packing away as much as he could. And just as the last of the stuff in the room was put away a loud bell started banging loudly, "The alarm" breathed Scar, eyes wide.

"Out now! Quickly!" shouted Doc, ushering everyone frantically out of the building they were immediately met with walls of flames, looking at the sky, they saw that Grian was still sitting on his dragon. Doc, kicking himself in his ass for letting it get so out of hand, ran through the flames, footsteps behind him signaling the others followed him.

But it was when he entered the flames that he noticed something odd, they weren't burning him. Sure they were hot, but he had absolutely no burns on him! Looking at everything around him he noticed that nothing was burning, everything was completely fine. What is going on?

"Is it just me or is nothing burning?" asked Scar, also having noticed the weird fire.

"No, I see and feel it too," said Ren, experimentally putting his hand into the fire, and whenever he pulled it out again the only thing that happened was the it got warm, "This is weird"

The group were brought out of there thoughts with the sound of a sword being unsheathed, wiping around they came face to face with Grian, a dark crimson blade in his hand. Doc quickly drew his trident, he could smell a fight incoming.

"Doc, I recommend you put that away," snarled Grian, face looking alien with the expression, "I'd hate to do something I'll regret"

"Then why do it if you'll regret it?" asked Impulse, hoping to defuse the situation before it escalated, bad move.

Grian sneered whilst also managing to smile a wicked smile, and with a flick of his wrist the sword in his hand split and become two blades, "I never said I'd regret it now"

Before anyone could react, Grian had rushed at them, blades ready. Luckily Doc managed to avoid the worst of it, but he was still nicked in the arm. And he immediately felt a searing, acid like burning enter his arm. Wither effect, realized Doc, it was the wither effect! But how did Grian manage to get a sword enchanted with it? Not getting anytime to think he brought up his trident to block another attack, the clanging of hardened prismarine against crimson obsidian filled the field, even the roar of the fake flames had disappeared. Not amused in the slightest Grian quickly stabbed one of his swords into Doc's leg, Doc let out shout of pain, the wither effect was a bitch, he decided. The little window in which Doc was distracted was all Grian needed to knock the trident away and pin Doc to the ground, "Do you know what you've done?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" spat the hybrid, a trickle of blood gliding out of the corner of his mouth.

"You really have no clue, do you?" hissed Grian, eyes blazing with anger and sadness, "I expected more from you Doc, I mean, we had vent meetings! You should know exactly what I'm talking about"

"Well, I don't" growled Doc, not happy with what Grian was doing.

And Grian wasn't happy with the answer either, judging by him stabbing Doc with both sword parts. Right through his heart. But unlike normal Doc's body didn't disappear, it just laid there, unmoving.

And Grian started to grow worried, so he started trying to shake the creeper hybrid awake, "Doc? Hey, you can wake up now! I'm done getting my little revenge now, so you can wake up now!" But no matter what Grian said, Doc wouldn't wake, "Hey, hey Doc, common wake up! Why won't you wake up!"

"What do you mean 'Why won't you wake up?'?!" shouted Ren at Grian, "You killed him! Of course he's not waking up!"

The dirty blond backed up in fear, no, he couldn't have! But the evidence was right there, Doc's lifeless body, his own swords dripping in the creeper hybrids blood. "I'm a monster"

"Damn right you are!" said Doc's corps, springing back to life.

Grian screamed and tried to back away, but Corps-Doc was quicker and managed to wrap his prosthetic arm around the builders throat. Grian tried to grab his swords but they were suddenly 5 meters (around 16 feet) away from where he was, no way was he going to be able to reach them anytime soon. Resorting to clawing at the hand, Grian felt hopeless. This wasn't what he had planned! He just wanted to teach them a little lesson, not perma kill anyone! He felt Doc tighten his grip around his throat, and he got the sinking feeling that this was a death he wasn't waking up from.

"Night, night little Grian," mocked Doc quietly, "Sweet dreams!"

A snap, and then nothing.

...

Doc awoke with a start, chest heaving. A hand came to rest on his bicep, turning he was meet with a concerned Xisuma. Doc took the hand, wanting the comfort of his boyfriend. X didn't say a word, Doc has had similar nightmares before, but this one seemed particularly viscous, "Do you want to talk about it?"

Doc was going too refuse, but he changed his mind, "It-it was about Grian. He had,-he had brought his dragon to life and was threatening to burn Area 77 down. And he did, kind of. It was fake fire, hot, but not burning," X squeezed Doc's hand in comfort, feeling that the next part was harder for him to say, "Grian came up and attacked me, and he was using this weird red obsidian sword that could detach and become two, do you know anything about that?"

"I might have something, but I'll have to look into it" said X, face scrunching up in thought, "But continue with your story, you'll feel better once it's all out"

"Right, well, the next thing I know he has me pinned down talking about 'Do you know what you've done?' And when I said to him I didn't he told me that I should know, I got mad at him and he got madder at me, so he stabbed me through the heart. He was horrified by what he'd done and started to apologize, and then I came back to life and started choking him! X, he was terrified, like he knew he wasn't going to wake up from this!" sobbed Doc, horrified with what his dream self did, "I snapped his neck and then I woke up"

"I think you had a conjoint nightmare with Grian", Doc turned to his boyfriend with a 'What are you talking about?' face, "It seemed like both of your nightmares merged to one, he came to me about his fears of hurting one of use badly at the beginning of the season, and combined with your fear of permanently killing someone you might get a conjoint nightmare"

"So what does it mean? What should I do?"

"Talk to Grian tomorrow morning, see if he had the same dream and go from there," consulted X, "But right now let's sleep, it is four in the morning after all"

In a different part of the server, Grian was having a similar conversation with team ZIT, thought they were having a harder time calming him down.

At the moment Grian was stuck in his own mind, with Doc's death on repeat. He had also started to scratch at his arms and Zedaph was trying to make him stop, with little success. Grian was stronger than he looked, especially for someone who weighed so little.

"Grian please calm down! If you continue this or your going to permanently hurt yourself!" but as much as the blond tried Grian wouldn't calm down, "Tango! You've got to help me here! He's stronger than he looks!"

Tango came rushing out of the other room at full force, scented candles in his arms. He quickly put them all down and lit them with a quick swish of his hand before moving on to helping Zedaph try to calm Grian, "Relax Grian, your safe. Everything's alright, your ok. Take a deep breath for me and inhale, can you do that for me?"

Grian did as instructed and took a deep breath of air, which made him inhale the calming scent of the candles. That made him relax, but not fully calm down.

"You better now?" asked Zedaph gently, hand rubbing comforting circles on the hybrids back.

"A little," croaked Grian, wiping at his tears. Not that it was that effective since they were just replaced by even more tears. At least he had stopped scratching at his arms.

"Do you want to tell us what happened?"

"I-I killed Doc," choked out Grian, chest constricting as the memories came back, "My God, I killed Doc!"

"No, you didn't," said Impulse, "If he was dead then why would he still be on the player list?"

"He's still on the list?" sniffed Grian, not trusting himself to check.

"Of course, and here's the prof," comforted Tango, handing the dirty blond his communicator with the player list open, "See? He's alive and good"

The winged Hermit sat silent for awhile, "Can I see him?"

"Tomorrow," said Tango, rubbing his cheek against Grian's in a cat like manner, "You need sleep"

(Btw, Zedaph's sitting behind Grian with his legs warped around Grian's, Impulse is off to the right of Grian, and Tango is in front of him. Just so you know their positions)

"But what if I have the dream again?" asked Grian, worried, ears going down even more than they already where.

"You won't," soothed Zedaph, "But if you do then we'll be here to help you"

"But what if that doesn't work?"

"Then we'll call in backup!" grinned the blond.

"Backup?" asked Grian confused, a hesitant smile on his face.

"Someone call for backup?" asked EX from the doorway.

"EX!" exclaimed Grian happily, "Your here! Let me go Zed, I believe I have a right to hug my boyfriend!"

"If your boyfriend wants a hug, then he'll have to come to you for it," said Zedaph stubbornly, hugging the cat hybrid close.

"Babe, stop playing the protective brother," scolded Impulse, "We all know your softer than the sheep in your game show"

"Impy! My credibility!" pouted Zed, letting Grian go either way.

The builder immediately shot up and jumped into EX's waiting arms, and EX caught him with ease, "Thank you three for looking after my little kitten, but I believe we best be going back home"

"Goodnight you two," said Tango, patting Grian on the head as the Void took him away.

The next day Doc and Grian met up to talk, and they clarified that they both had the same dream. They both agreed that they didn't hate each other, and that they were both still friends. Though Grian didn't trust himself around any form of weapon for a long time afterwards, but he's slowly working through it.

<>This was made like, two months ago? And I never gave it an ending, so it never got published. But as you can see, I finished it! So that's now one less thing I need to finish! Have a wonderful time everyone!<>
