I sit in the car with tfc driving towards the hospital, I've been keeping it secret for tfc...but he has cancer....he found out a few months back...he was  devastated, iv been with him trying to help as much as I could, today we going in for a check up.

 i look over at tfc and see his worried look and nervousness, "hey...it's gonna be okay" I say trying to give him resurrection, he frowns and looks away, "I don't know joe....what if this not?....what if I'm living the last few days of my life?" He says with a broken tone, I frown and put a hand on his shoulder as I keep my eyes on the road,"don't think like that, I'm sure you'll be fine...we've been doing your medication, we caught it early so you should be fine..." I say with a soft tone, I hear a soft sob come from him, I look over to see him in tears, "joe... you can't be sure...I don't want to die joe" he sobs into his hand, I frown and pull the car over  parking it then I grab his hands and look at him,"you're not gonna die, I promise..." I say trying my best to reassure him, he looks at me with tears streaming down his face, "I promise...." I say softly, he nods and wipes his tears,"a-alright...Lets get this over with" he mumbles, I smile and start up the car and drive towards the hospital.

I step out of the car and stare at the hospital walls, "ready?" I say as I look at tfc, he nods and I lock the car as we walk in, first thing I spot is cub... tfc and I look at each other worryingly,"you check on him...I'll check in" tfc says, I nod and walk over.

"Tfc?" A Nurse calls, I look at tfc giving him a reassuring look, he nods and we walk up, "wonderful, let's go do our check up" the nurse says, we follow them back, I can see tfc trembling slightly, I frown and grab his hand and he looks back at me and I smile softly and nod at him, "okay this is your room, the doctor will be in to take you to get your tests" the nurse says with a smile, "okay" I say back as I lead tfc in and he sits on the bed like thing and I sit in a chair, "it's gonna be okay tfc..." I say softly, he sighs,"I...I know but I'm nervous....it might not be" he says, I frown but before I can respond the doctor comes in,"tfc?" He says, "yes.." tfc responds looking more anxious, "your here for a check up correct?" The doctor asks as he looks down at his papers, "yes.." tfc responds once more, "great. Lets go get some tests then we will check your result" the doctor says softly, "okay...joe I'll be right back" tfc says as he gets up, I nod softly and watch as him and the doctor walks out.

I see tfc walking back in, "how'd it g-" he cuts me off by hugging me tightly and sobbing slightly, I frown, "tfc..." I begin, "I'm scared...what if he comes back and tells me I'm not gonna make it" tfc says with a broken tone once more, I pull him into a huge hug, "...I promise it's gonna be okay" I mumble as I push the hair out of tfc face and wipe his tears, I see the doctor walk in, "we got some news" the doctor begins, tfc let's go of me and looks at the doctor, the doctor smiles softly,"your cancer free" the doctor says, I tear up and tfc face goes from worried to shock to crying happily, "I'll go get your papers then you can leave" the doctor says with a smile and leaves, tfc hugs me tightly sobbing happily,"s-see I told you I promised it would be okay" I say and he smiles and lets out a soft mix of a laugh and sob.
