(This story is mainly centered around Grian.)

For the longest time, the watcher have tried to control my life.

They hate me.

But not anymore.

A while ago...

I sighed, exhausted. The watchers had punished me once again. I had always been a rebel, its just the way I am. I don't want them to control me. I collapsed on my bed, closing my eyes. But when I opened them again, I was in a different world. There I saw a man with a mustache. "Um, hello?" I called. The man turned around, a friendly smile on his face. "Hi! My name is Mumbo! Who might you be?"

Though he was just a part of my dreams, he appeared every night. He said he came from a world called Hermitcraft, where he and some other people would live in a world, surviving, for a while before their world resets and they all start over. I told him I came from a world called Evolution, where we survive but every now and then we'd find a portal, and everyone who went through it would somehow learn and get some new abilities and items, as if our world was evolving. Mumbo was great at redstone, and I was great at building. Together, we had lots of fun, to the point where I was enjoying my dreams more than my actual life. And the other evos (and the watchers) started noticing a change in my behavior. I started becoming more and more isolated, and I stopped pranking people. I didn't talk at community meetings, and I spent the day thinking about what fun I would have with Mumbo in my sleep. And the best part? The watchers couldn't see my dreams.

One day, Mumbo asked me what would happen if I went into a portal in advance, before anyone knew about it's existence. I admitted to not knowing, and so when we got our clues, Mumbo helped me figure it out before anyone else. Soon, I was standing in front of a glowing portal. I left my stuff behind in case anything happened. All I had on me was a few signs and an egg.

This is it, watchers.

I don't know what is going to happen, but it doesn't matter.

Wherever I go, you won't follow me.

I've been disobeying you for forever.

I'm so annoying, right?

Well, I'm leaving.

And there's nothing you can do to stop me.

It's too late.

Throwing the egg at the portal for good luck, I could have sworn it flashed blue. "Well, this is it." I said, walking up to the portal. "I'm escaping."

Everything was white. And then, it changed. I felt myself change, my body, everything felt different. And then I fell. Hitting the ground, I found myself on an island surrounded by water. But something were different. I saw life, things I'd never seen before. In the water I saw kelp, fish, so many new things... turning around, I saw a portal. Hearing sounds from the portal, I hid behind a tree. From it, several people appeared, all of them with nothing. And, a familiar face. Walking out from behind the tree, I whispered, "Mumbo?"
