A Tale of Demons

Long ago, 4 main species walked the earth. Hybrids, Humans, Demons, and Watchers. One day, there was a Great War. While the entire Watcher species was wiped out, the demons won the war. From here, they started their empire. They took over many villages, destroying anyone who defied them.
"But, father TFC, how come the demons haven't destroyed us yet?"
"Little Xisuma, the demons don't see us as a threat. Instead, they leave us to suffer in poverty. But one day, you will lead a new, strong village. You will be strong, yes?"
"Of course! I will lead the village to fight for freedom!"
"Alright. Then why don't you go play with your friends?"

Demons are cruel. They are sadistic, cold, unempathetic... it has always been that way. And it won't change.

15 years later

Smoke rose in the air, nothing compared to the screams of those in the village. The mayor had dared defy the king. And now they were paying the consequences. Only those who made it to the forest survived. Watching over the chaos, a lone figure stood. With his sharp horns - longer than normal demon horns - and the special mark on his forehead, he was unique. He was strong, and could easily hide his wings, horns, and tail. And he had single-handedly wiped out the entire village. As the village burned, the crimson-eyed prince flew off into the night. He was famous, feared, and no one knew him very well. But that didn't matter. He had only one job. And that job is to punish.

"Okay, everyone. Remember, grandfather TFC worked hard to mine these minerals for us. Bring them to your assigned village, and trade for FOOD. And most importantly, don't get caught. If you, someone from a free village, are found in a village controlled by demons, you will be killed. Now, go."

———————

Silence fell over the village as a figure flew down into the marketplace. Citizens froze in fear, watching the prince land and approach a stand. The shop owner there was selling clothes. Trembling, the shop owner asked, "what do you need?"

The prince pointed to a black hood in the back of the store. The shop owner nodded nervously, taking the hood and handing it to the demon. "You can have it free, just please don't hurt me!" The prince stared at her before fishing some money out of his pocket. The shop owner's eyes widened at the sight of the money. "N-no! This is too much!" The prince just stared at her silently before taking the hood and walking away. The shop owner was in shock. This could buy her a home! Then she could finally break out of the cycle of poverty! "W-wait!" She called to the prince. The prince turned around, his crimson red eyes seeming to stare into her soul. "T-thank you so much... I don't know what to say... I... have this as a token of my appreciation." The shop owner held out a golden headband. "It can cover your mark, and blends in with your hair." The prince nodded, taking the headband, before flying off. The shopkeeper watched him, years in her eyes. Maybe he isn't so cold after all.

—————

As the prince flew off, something caught his eye. A dirty-blonde and a dark brown haired boy, trading gems for food. But that wasn't what interested him- it was the fact that they were hiding behind a building and wearing dark clothes as to blend in with the shadows. Nice try, he thought as he flew down. He could already tell what was going on. There was some illegal trade going on here. Flying down, the prince prepared some fire magic. But something stopped him. Pulling on the hood and putting on the headband, he decided to follow the two. Maybe this was a chance... a chance at a new life.

(Hi guys, I'm back! I'm no longer dead! But that doesn't mean that this isn't complete trash! It really isn't matching the idea in my head! But whatever!)

—————

"Alright! Everyone's here! So, what did you all manage to get?"
"Well-" Impulse was interrupted as a cloaked figure stumbled out of the forest, covered in blood. "Who are you?!"
"My name is Tango. My village was attacked, and I barely escaped alive!"
"Oh my notch! Here, let's get you healed up."
Impulse watched sympathetically as "Tango" stumbled toward them. Iskall walked over to help him walk, before Iskall gave up and practically dragged him over to the healing hut.

——————

"So why do you have red eyes?"
"Contacts."
"But they look so much like a demon's!"
"It's so I can blend in."
"What's under the headband?"
"Nothing. A family member gave it to me."
"Are you sure?"
"Why do you keep questioning me?"
"I'm just suspicious..."

—————

Time passed, and Tango grew closer to the group. He helped Impulse and Zedaph with their runs, and fit in well. No one questioned him.

One night, Impulse couldn't sleep. Sighing, he decided to go on a walk. Getting out of bed, he walked through the door-

"Impulse, it isn't what it looks like!"

(Not how I imagined it. I probably could do better. But I'm tired and hungry, soooo. This is where the personality trait you chose takes effect. You see, these are traits for Impulse to determine his reaction. Different reactions will result in different endings. So, what did you chose? Comment it somewhere. I'm waiting for several people to post the trait they chose before posting the endings. Oh and there's also a troll secret ending.)
