Day 5, Part 2

Dead: xB, Zedaph, Impulse, Tango, Cleo, Joe, Cub + Scar, Keralis, Hypno, Etho, Ren, Doc, Jevin, Beef, TFC, Iskall, Mumbo, Wels, Bdubs
Alive: Grian, Xisuma, Stress, False

Also False is terrifying. Like, she's not even insane, but she's torturing and killing her friends.

Btw, I headcanon False to be an insanely good PVPer, very active, dextrous, best fighter on the server. Wels is the only one who can hold his own against her and even he struggles.

-------------------------------

Stress, Grian, and Xisuma were calmly sitting next to the stream for hours, but the calm couldn't last. It was soon interrupted by none other than False.

False snuck up behind the trio and announced, "Forget about me?"

All three of them jumped. Grian fell in the stream and got soaked, but Stress pulled him out. Xisuma jumped up and twisted around, facing False.

"You've had your break, but now it's time for more revenge!" False said, grinning.

"No, False. You won't hurt Grian," Xisuma told her. He pulled out a sword.

Xisuma's last word was "Run!"

Grian and Stress obeyed. Behind them, they heard the sounds of fighting, then silence. Had they looked back, they would have seen Xisuma valiantly attempt to hold False off, but fail and take a sword to the chest.

At least he gave Stress and Grian time to run.

It all happened so fast, Grian and Stress were in shock and denial. Unfortunately for Xisuma, his last effort was in vain, because False was extremely nimble, fast, and quick and easily caught up to Grian and Stress.

She grabbed Grian by the wing, roughly whipping it around and earning a cry of pain from the gremlin. "Any last words?" she hissed.

Grian's eyes darted around, looking for an escape, but it was too late.

Stress cried out in shock as False plunged her blade through Grian's chest.

Grian's body crumpled to the ground and vanished, leaving only a few bright feathers to show he had ever existed.

Enraged, Stress leaped onto False's back and grabbed the hilt of False's sword. False stumbled, trying to get Stress off of her. Stress twisted the blade and False's arm around with it. False let go of the sword. Stress grabbed it and swung it around, right through False's neck.

Luckily for Stress, False vanished as soon as the blade lost contact with her body, so Stress didn't have to witness False's head flying off.

For ten minutes, Stress simply stood in shock. She knew, of course, that Grian and Xisuma would respawn and be fine, although Grian might have some nightmares from what False did. Stress couldn't believe what False had done. She'd gone full-on serial killer. Stress desperately hoped it was just because of the games and False would look back with regret.

She would probably have stood there all afternoon had it not been for the ConVex.

Scar and Cub dropped from the sky, elytras on their backs. Cub was holding a camera and Scar a microphone. Jellie hopped off of Scar's head and bit open the bag of confetti she'd been holding in her mouth.

"Congrats on winning the Hunger Games, Stress!" Scar announced.

Stress simply stared at them in shock. "W-wait wha'?"

"Everyone else has died, you're the last one alive!" Scar said cheerfully.

"Oh," Stress didn't want to have won, not like this.

"So, how's it feel to have won?" Scar asked.

"Can we save it?" Stress replied.

"Alright! Here, take this," Scar said, tossing Stress an elytra. She reluctantly put it on. Cub threw her some fireworks (don't try this at home) and the three flew up into the sky.

Stress was surprised to find a huge network of bridges, ropes, nets and ladders crisscrossing the arena at the top. Evidently, Scar and Cub had been watching this whole time. Most of the other hermits were waiting when they made it to the top and landed on a rope bridge. They rushed over.

"Stress!"
"Congrats!"
"Nice win!"
"You're truly a monster, in a good way!"

Stress glanced around. She didn't want to do this. Without warning, she shot off into the sky and headed towards the jungle.

The others watched her in surprise.

Stress flew steadily towards Grian's mansion. The flight was calming, and she cleared her head as she went. By the time she arrived at the huge building, she was completely calm and normal.

"Grian?" she called.

A familiar winged figure landed next to Stress, making her jump. "Where'd ya come from?" she exclaimed.

Grian smirked. "Around."

"Are ya ok now? I'm worried about ya," Stress said.

"Well, physically I'm great! It's amazing to be able to use my wings again. Um.. I'm still... nervous... from... you know what," he replied, playing absentmindedly with a stray feather while he talked.

"Well, I'm here for ya if ya need me, k luv?" Stress told him.

"Ok, thanks Stress," Grian said, dropping the feather and putting his arms around her. She hugged him back.

"I'd love to stay all day, but I've gotta check up on Xisuma and False," Stress told Grian, releasing him.

"Can I come with you?" he asked.

"Sure! Let's head to Xisuma's base first, it's right in the jungle," Stress said. Grian nodded and let her lead the way.

The two found Xisuma sitting atop one of his towers. He looked up and stood when he saw them. They landed on either side of him.

"Grian, Stress, hi," Xisuma greeted them.

"Hi Ex-eye-sooma," Grian greeted back, smirking.

Xisuma glared playfully at him and he giggled.

"How are ya, X?" Stress reluctantly interrupted the exchange.

Xisuma sighed and turned towards her. "Fine. I'm worried about you though, Grian."

Grian instantly sobered. "W-worried? Why?" he asked nervously.

"I don't know what got into False, but what she did to you... that would damage anybody. I mean mentally as well as physically. I want you to feel happy and safe," Xisuma answered.

Grian looked down as he replied, "I'm okay, I'll be fine."

Xisuma looked him straight in the eyes and told him, dead serious, "Grian, if you ever feel scared or depressed, talk to me. I know you don't want to, but I need you to."

"Okay," Grian said anxiously.

"I'm here for you too, luv," Stress added.

"I thought we were here to check on Xisuma, not lecture me!" Grian complained, brightening.

"And now we're going to see False," Stress said.

"Are you sure taking Grian is a good idea?" Xisuma asked.

"I-I don't want to go see False," Grian told them quietly.

"I understand. I'll go alone, 'kay?" Stress replied.

"Alright, see you Stress," Xisuma said as Stress flew off.

-------------------------------

So... what would you like to see in the aftermath? A second Hunger Games? Oneshots/epilogues for some of the characters? This is definitely incomplete, but the Games are over, so I really want to know what YOU want to see.

Also, if you're lurking, I can still write oneshots after this no matter how late you are, so please comment!

I'm thinking I'll probably do a Griangst story set after this at some point, I've set it up and everything.

But what else do you want to see?
