Good morning :)

Grian was never a fan of the morning. He hated the feeling he'd get when he would open his eyes and immediately get blinded by  obnoxiously bright sun rays that peek through his curtains. Usually, Grian would suck it up and get up to do his normal morning routine. However, as Grian opened his eyes, he noticed the dull pain in his head. As he woke up more, the pain got worse.

Morning headache, I blame the sun He thought as he slowly sat up in his bed. He reached over to his night stand to grab his communicator. The parrot hybrid covered his mouth when he suddenly started coughing. Groaning he slumped back into his bed. When was his bed this comfy....? Grian opened the large group chat and before he could answer Scar's normal "Good morning!" Text, the communicator fell out of his hand and landed on his chest before sliding next to him on the bed.

His headache had gotten noticeably worse and his stomach also started to have a dull pain. He was sick.   He sneezed before sinking further into his pillows and covering his head with his blanket. At least I don't have to get up yet, His eyes slowly started to close, the last thing her heard was the needy chirp of professor beak.

~ time skip : 2 hours later ~

It's been two hours. Two hours and Grian had yet to respond to Scar's text in the group chat. Grian always responded, Scar made sure to send the text when he knew Grian would be waking up, so why hasn't he responded yet?

Maybe he slept through his alarm... The nature spirit was currently flying over to his his avain friends starter base in spawn village. Scar wouldn't normally be worried this much about someone not responding but it was Grian who hasn't responded yet and he knows Grian. The avian would apologize profusely if he didn't respond in ten minutes. Last time he was late with a response, He brought Scar a shulker box of supplies he needed as an apology and helped him with Scarland.

Scar Semi-gracefully landed in front of Grians shoe looking base.

Knock knock

"Grian? You in there?" Scar called into the house as he slowly opened the door. He had a spare key that Grian gave him a while ago. The avian went to visit family for a week and asked scar to take care of Professor Beak while he was away and Scar happily accepted the offer. "Grian?" He called again, softly closing the front door behind him as he walked further into the house.

He turned his head to the stairs when he heard a familiar chirp and sound of wings flapping.

"Well hello there Professor Beak" Scar smiled as the blue parrot landed on his shoulder, "Could you take me to your owner?" Professor Beak chirped happily before taking off back upstairs and Scar followed. As he got closer to Grian's room, the sound of rushing footsteps could be heard.

"Grian? Are you okay?" Scar knocked the avians door. The door suddenly opened, startling Scar. Scars eyes found Grian. He was standing in the doorway, breathing heavily. He was slightly hunched over and his skin was paler than it usually is. Scar made eye contact with him and saw that his eyes were slightly unfocused.

"Scar! Hello!" Grian said, his voice was raspy. Grain went to say something else but turned away from scar and did his best to cover a coughing fit.

"Grian....Are you feeling okay?" Scar looked at his friend with worry. Grian turned back to look at scar, "Of course!" He coughed again "Why- Why wouldn't I be?" He laughed nervously.

Scar gave him a suspicious look before placing a hand on Grian's forehand. Grian flinched away but it was too late, Scar sighed.

"you're sick, aren't you?" Scar questioned. Grian started playing with the hem of his iconic red jumper, "no, what made you think that?"

"Well, your voice sounds like you ate a spoon full of gravel, you're unusually pale and you're burning up."

Grian sighed, no use trying to convince scar he wasn't sick anymore. "Yeah, I guess your right" he muttered. Grian jumped when Scar picked him up bridal style and started to walk over to his bed, "He-Hey! Put me down Scar!" He whined.

"Okay." Scar smirked before dropping Grian into his bed. "You didn't have to drop me" Grian grumbled.

"You didn't say how you wanted to be put down" Scar shrugged. Grian rolled his eyes in response. "Don't you have plans with Cub today? What are you doing here anyway?" The avain asked, looking up to meet Scar's eyes.

"I can reschedule the plans I had with Cub." Scar walked over to Grian's bathroom and opened a cabinet, "As for why I'm here, You didn't respond to my good morning text and I got worried, I'm glad I came" scar walked back into the main bedroom with a thermometer in his hand. A look of guilt washed over Grian's face, "oh my god, I completely forgot about your message" Grian coughed again, "Scar I'm sorry."

Scar pressed a button on the thermometer which it responded with a annoying beep. "Here" scar handed Grian the thermometer. The builder placed the thermometer under his tongue as he watched scar move over to the other side of his bed and pick up a pillow that was on the floor, "You don't need to apologize for not responding to one text G, I understand why you didn't respond" the thermometer beeped again and scar walked over and took it out of Grian's mouth and looked at it.

"101.2" he read aloud. Grian groaned and flopped onto his bed and covered his face with a pillow, which scar removed. "Don't do that, you're having trouble breathing enough as it is" Scar rolled his eyes  when Grian stuck his tongue out at him in response to him removing the pillow.

"I'll be right back, I have some left over medicine for you in my medicine cabinet. Don't do anything while I'm gone." Scar told him before making his way out of Grian's room.

"Why do you have medicine for me in your house?" Grian raised a eyebrow.

"As the resident healer on the server, I have many different medicines for each hermit. With you being a parrot hybrid, I can't give you the medicine most of the hermit use as it would hurt you. So I made sure to buy medicine specifically for you last time I went to the Hub" Scar smiled and before Grian could respond, the sound of the door closing echoed around the room.

~ Time skip : 20 minutes ~

By the time scar got back with the medication, Grian was sleeping already, wings slightly wrapped around him. He quietly set the medication on a near by table before making his way downstairs.

"Are you hungry?" Scar looked over at Professor beak, who was sitting on the counter, poking at his food. Scar chuckled when The parrot began happily Chirping. "Alright, Alright, I'll get you food just quiet down, You'll wake Grian up" it took a few seconds before the chirping died down.

It took ten minutes for scar to feed Professor beak. It would have taken even less if he hadn't felt the need to hand feed the parrot.

"Grian?" Scar gently shook the blonde awake, "you need to take your medicine, you can go back to sleep after" Grian tiredly smacked Scar's Hand away and turned away from him, "noooo....I wanna go back to sleepppp" he whined, wrapping the blanket and his wings tighter around his body.

Scar sighed, and gently but quickly took the blanket from Grian, to Grian's dissatisfaction. "Give it back...please"

"Not until you take your medicine"

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Why not?"

"It's gross"

"But you'll feel better"

"Still no"

"Please Grian?"

Grian stayed silent.

"Who's gonna take care of Professor beak if your sick?"

"You"

Scar sighed, "what will it take to get you to take your medicine?"

Grian thought for a moment. "Sleep"

"You can get that if you take your medicine"

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"No"

"Yes- wait"

Scar laughed, "glad that you agree" he smiled.

"Wait! No- you cheated!" Grian argued.

"You're the one that said yes, not me"

"Alright fine! I'll take the dumb medicine" Grian grumbled angrily.

Scar poured the red colored liquid into a small cup and handed it over to Grian, "it's not as bad as you make it out to be"

Grian gagged and handed scar the empty cup, "there, happy?"

"Very"

Scar took the cup and set it down on the table near the bed. "You can go back to sleep now"

"I don't want to anymore"

Scar sat in the edge of Grian's bed, "Well what do you wanna do?"

The duo sat there and stared at each other for a minute or two before Grian grabbed ahold of Scar's shirt, pulling him down onto the bed.

"Grian?" Scar felt Grian's wrap his arms around him, "what are you doing?"

"I need something hug to go to sleep. You were closest to me" Grian replied, eyes closed.

Scar sighed, he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon now. Scar moved his body into a different position. Scar softly smiled as he felt Grian's breathing slow in to a steady pattern.

"Sweet dreams G" Scar wispered before also slipping into a deep sleep.

~ Time Skip : 24 hours later~

It's been one day since Grian has been sick, he started to feel better in the next morning when the duo woke up cuddling.

Scar had something important to do today and unfortunately had to leave Grian for a few hours.

He was bored. He still wasn't 100% yet and scar had told him that he couldn't go back to working until he was completely better because working would only make it worse. Now the avain was laying on his bed, staring at his roof.

And then he remembered something.

~
As scar was talking with pearl and impulse, he felt a vibration in his pocket. He and the other two pulled out their communicators and in to e group chat read a single message
