Hermircraft Origins Part1-Wels and Hels

3rd person P.O.V.

These two half brothers, unknownst to the hermits, were some of the most powerful people in the Minecraft world. While they had the same mother, Wels had an ice dragon for a father, and Hels had a father in a fire dragon. The problem, the two species were enemies. The ice dragons were powerful and embodied both order and good, but also insanity. They occasionally went mad, or sometimes broke under pressure from their society, and went on rampages. One of these dragons went and fell in love with a human woman. The fire dragons embodied anarchy and evil, but also sanity. However occasionally they would temporarily fall completely to their evil side. One of these dragons did something so bad he was cast away, and fell in love with the same woman as the ice dragon.

This woman was spectacular, and a knight of great skill. The fire dragon came first with his confession, and soon the two were in a relationship where the woman got pregnant. But eventually the fire dragon fell back to evil, and almost destroyed their house. The woman told him to go away, just as the other dragons did. After a while the baby came, with red wings, a red tail, and the ability to breathe fire. The woman had her hands full getting him to control his powers, and soon came along the ice dragon, who helped her to teach little Hels to earn her affection.

She fell for him too soon enough, and she was once again pregnant with a baby. The ice dragon cared for her deadly until the baby came, whom she named Wels. He is was about two years old at the time, and yet he was already trying to fight with his brother and father. Wels' father helped teach him to control his wings and ice breathing abilities. Wels also had a tail, and white scales covered both inhuman appendages. The brothers fought from a young age as was expected, and Wels' father stayed with them until Wels was five years old.

That was when he went insane again, and the mother of the two hybrids would have none of it after what happened with Hels' father. Woo she ended up said it the two children on her own. When taught them under the code of conduct for knights, and they even went to training with the other knights.

Well P.O.V.

It started out a normal day like no other. The two brothers were heading to the training camp, and a few other knights had joined them on the way. Even though Hels and Wels fought a lot, they were close in terms of brothers, and they had this understanding of each other that no one else could reach. It was for this reason that he noticed something off about Held on the way. First off, his voice was slightly quieter than usual, and had a sort of sinister undertones to it that was barely noticeable. Also, his mannerisms were slightly off. He was moving his hands less when he talked, and his walk was slightly caged, almost was it be was trying to hide something or fight off some pain.

At first I don't think much of it, I was just concerned for him. That was until my brother snapped at me when I asked him if everything was okay. He had never snapped at me unless I was being annoying. That was when I was sure something was wrong, and vowed to keep a close walk on him. The small signs only grew bigger as he continued walking, and they came to a forte that I was surprised he noticed when we arrived at the training camp.

That was when he broke. It was so sudden even I couldn't stop it. He roared out and took off into the air, fire flying from his mouth and towards the training camp below. In my panicked state I hurriedly spit out a wall above the training camp that would hold off the fire. I knew what was happening, no one else did. He was falling to evil temporarily, and I also knew I was the only person who could stop him. It was something with us being brothers. He could pull me out of one of my insane episodes, and I could pull him out of one of his evil episodes.

So, I flew up to him as fast as I could. Once close to him, I slowed down significantly and held my hands up in a position of surrender. He turned t face me, and the fire in his eyes this time was scary, to be frank. I tried my best to quell my fear, because I knew he could sense it and might find me as prey in his crazed state. I knew I had failed when he lunged at me, class outstretched. Someone shouted at me to move, but I knew that would be worse. I shut my eyes a moment before pain shot through my shoulder, and I could feel blood dripping down. When I opened my eyes again there stood Hels.

He looked scared, and I could see him looking down to the ground. I could tell he wanted to run away, and the feeling was too strong to resist. I took off a second before he did, knowing he would take off soon. I was right when he took off before I reached him, without even looking at me.

I woke up from the nightmare gasping. I looked around. I was back in my cozy little home I had made for season seven. Hels and I weren't as close any more as we were back then, but I could still calm him down from one of his rages, and he could calm me down from mine. But he wasn't around anymore. And with the panic from the nightmare, I could feel another one coming on. The wings and tail I so desperately tried to hide popped out, and I went to my basement to lock myself inside, that way I didn't hurt anyone. I hoped I would snap out of it before everyone got worried. I made sure to lock the door and then made sure I couldn't unlock it until I had snapped out of it. And then I fell in, and my vision went dark.

Hels P.O.V.

I decided I would go back to the meritocracy server today. I was stable enough, and was pretty sure I wouldn't turn evil. I went through Wels' portal to get into hermitcraft, and I admired his base when I was it. It was such a nice little build. Then, with my enhanced hearing brought on from years of surviving for myself in the nether, I heard roaring and scratching from down below me. F*ck, Wels must be in trouble. It had been so long since I had tried to do it, but I knew I couldn't let him suffer. So I started following the sounds to find him. I went inside his house, and followed the sounds to a basement.

Trying the door, even though I knew it would be locked, I discovered unsurprisingly that it didn't budge. I proceeded to kick it down, finding Wels inside, looking disheveled. His eyes locked in to mine, and I knew for sure he was not okay. I sat still in the doorway, and stared at him in challenge. I knew that if I could get him to submit he would snap out of it. He tried to spray ice at me, which I promptly melted with my fire.

I approached him slowly, like a predator approaching their prey for the final blow. He cowered under my stare, and I slowly saw the normalcy creep back into his eyes. Once he had snapped out of it he looked up. "Hels", he shouted. You could hear the joy in his voice. He ran to me and three his arms around my neck. The feature startled me, but I quickly hugged him back. I had missed my little brother. I couldn't come one much, cause most of these hermits assumed I truly was evil after a couple time I went on a rampage here and Wels wasn't here to stop me.

"Thank you," Wels whispered over and over to me. "So you haven't found your soulmate yet." Soulmate were the only thing I knew that could snap a raging dragon out of it, other than me and Wels being able to snap each other out, which was an anomaly. I said it as a joke, but his mood seemed to darken. "Shoot, what did I do wrong Wels."

"You didn't do anything wrong. I just think I have a clue who my soulmate is, but I don't know for sure. And if it is him, first of all I think he's straight. Second of all I don't think he would accept me as an ice dragon." Wels let everything out in a rush. " Woah, woah. Allow down, you think you've found your soulmate?" He just nodded, but I could see how nose to tears he was. "Hey, Wels, it's okay. You can cry to me if you want. I'm the only one here." With that Wels broke into tears. I didn't know Wels was so stressed or worried. If I had known I would have been here much earlier. I held onto him, rubbing my fingers in circles on his shoulder blades. It was a while before he calmed down enough to talk to me again.

"You know Jevin, right?" I nodded. "Well I think he's my soulmate." His bluntness startled me a little bit. He was always one to use a lot of words, unless he was worried about something. Wels could weave almost anything into a story. "Isn't he the slime who wears the white hoodie?" Wels nodded in response to my question. I didn't know much about Jevin, other than the fact that Wels seemed to hang out with him a lot. " I don't know how I can help you with this one, but just know you can always come to me if you need anything. I want to stay here for a while. First of all I'm case you fall in again, and second of all to try and help you out with this situation.

He looked at me with wide eyes. "But what if you fall, and I'm not there to help you." " I guess I'll just have to always be near you. " I gave him a sly, mischievous smile. He hit my shoulder lightly, knowing what I was getting at. "Get your mind out of the gutter Hels." I laughed lightly, and he joined in. I noticed light coming in from upstairs.

" C'mon Wels, it seems like it's morning, let's go ahead and get ready for the day. "

"Okay, but you'll have to hide when another hermit comes. We don't want them seeing you and reporting you to Xisuma or trying to attack. Especially since I'd rather not tell my friends you and I are some of the most powerful creatures in this world, in the case they may not accept us."

Sorry if there are any errors or if it is really bad. I didn't want to go back and edit as it was already kind of late and I doing really like editing. Anyway, tune in next time for either a bit more with Wels and Hels, or a Xisuma and Ex thing.
