Message (Part 2 of Servant) (Angst-ish)
There will probably be a few more parts to this, I thought it was just gonna be a single oneshot but I really liked the plot so yeah!
-Myth
Stress's intuition was buzzing at the base of her skull like a hive of very irritated wasps. She knew something was wrong. But she didn't know anything besides that. All she knew was that something was wrong on the server, and it was happening to one of the Hermits.
She was just sitting in a tree, watching the huge moon rise into the sky. All of a sudden, a little slip of paper entered her line of sight, floating in the gentle breeze. Stress snatched it out of the air and opened it, her eyes growing wider with every word she read.
Whoever finds this in their possession, it read...
Something bad is going to happen. Something related to Evil Xisuma.
I faintly recall trying to tell Impulse about it, but I can't remember what "it" was. Next thing I knew, I was back at my floating island. Ever since then, something in my mind has been trying to convince me that Evil X has changed for the better. I think it has something to do with me trying to tell Impulse about whatever it was.
Whatever you do, don't trust Evil X. Or anyone affiliated with the Evil Empire. Don't even trust me from now on.
-Welsknight
Stress leaped down from the tree and raced westward, not even bothering to use an elytra or a horse. She ran for three hours straight, only stopping at the occasional river or pond for a drink of water.
When she finally arrived at the island in the sky, she yanked out an Ender pearl and hurled it at one of the entrances. She teleported to the outer ring and cautiously walked into the hallway. Stress could hear voices in the center room, so she hid behind a row of chests to listen.
"I can't do it. Please, just leave me alone. You should've stayed in Season 7."
"Do it. Your friends will get much worse if you don't, Wels."
"I-" the sound of sobs reached Stress's ears. "I can't."
"Oh, get up, you moron. Do you really want to go through that again?"
"I told you. I can't and won't." Wels's voice sounded stronger now.
"Fine. I'll have to do this myself."
"Wh-what are you doing? WAIT-"
"Heh...that was long overdue."
"I'll kill you."
"Best if you don't commit suicide. Now, shut up."
Stress decided to come out of her hiding place to see what was going on. But, strangely, Wels was the only one there. He was standing with his back to her, staring off into the distance.
"Uh, Wels? I just came to see how you were doing..." Stress said tentatively.
He didn't turn around. "You should go," he said in a sad voice.
"No, I want to stay," Stress protested. "I only just got here."
"Don't you know what's happening?" Wels said angrily, whirling around to face her. His cape fluttered behind him, and she noticed that little sparks clung to parts of it.
Stress smiled weakly. "That's why I'm here."
The Knight glared at his friend. "I said to go away. You were an idiot to come here when I told you not to. Just... get away from me."
Stress backed away from him, her face falling with each step. "I should go get Xisuma-"
Wels smirked, his eyes slowly turning red. "Fool. You think he's in his normal state?" he shook his head, his grin growing.
Scared of what her friend was becoming, Stress turned on her heel and bolted out of the floating island. She jumped on a nearby horse and sped east to her cave.
What do I do?
