Once upon a time there was- You think this is a bedtime story? Nah. You'd be 100% mistaken.

Let's talk about a group of individuals living the hardships of taking care of a group of children that aren't even their own.

WELCOME TO HERMIT DAYCARE.

As the sun shines over Boatem. Xisuma, a busy man, was opening up a daycare in the middle of the town. Said building was red in color, a deep color decorated with bright childish murals. As Xisuma was getting things ready for the day, a small individual was already cozy within the building, a tiny boy with evident elytrian traits was sleeping in a bright red sleeping bag.

After the sun fully rose the daycare was ready, Xisuma noticed that both Cub and Doc had arrived, two of his most valuable employees. His only two employees.

Shortly after his two employees arrived a kid with a suit and jet black hair. Mumbo arrived with a stuffed cat backpack and light up sketchers.

The second he put his bag in his cuby the small boy ran to the boy who was asleep "grian time to wake up" the black haired boy says as he shakes the sleeping boy.

Another boy arrived Mumbo looked over when he heard the new voice and he saw a boy with a tail and canine-like ears.

"Grian. Someones here. New person" the dark haired boy pulled at the avians arm.

At the mention of someone new the winged boys head shot up as he looked around his eyes locking onto the canine boy he jumped up and ran to the new kid.

Circling the canine boy his eyes examining the kid from his ears to the tip of his tail

"Ooo" Grian says in a very demanding tone

"He means who are you" Mumbo spoke as he walked over.

The canine boy glanced at Xisuma and his parents.

"I'm Ren" he held a small plushy close.

Suddenly thru the daycares door came two figures who were pushing each other well laughing "i won!" A shorter boy spoke with leafs in his hair and a pocket watch hanging from his belt loop "nah i did" a taller boy spoke he has Snow white hair and a black mask "Etho you know the rules. I know you love it but no mask before half day" Xisuma said to the young boy as he set up the craft if the day a simple bookmark that each kid can make their own by drawing on a small cardboard base.

"Fiiine" Etho removed his mask sticking his tongue out at Xisuma.

Bdubs ran over to Ren "you're new. name?"

Ren looked at the boy with leafs in his hair "oh- im Ren" as Ren spoke his small fangs were very obvious. Bdubs opened Rens mouth more staring at his fangs his eyes lit up "we're friends im Bdubs thats Etho"

The three boys ended up at the castle playhouse with Ren in a crown "im a king!" he laughed as he spoke his tail swinging left to right as he ran around the toy crown slowly slipping over his right eye.

Grian and Mumbo played in the lego corner well waiting for someone "where?" Grian spoke well staring at Mumbo "im not sure where Scar is. He may not be here today" Mumbo added a eye to the robot he and Grian built with the small bricks Grian nodded before picking up the robot and running to Xisuma almost hitting Doc on the way. Xisuma looked at the small blond haired boy and smiled "what you got there Grian?" Xisuma didnt really expect much of a response being that Grian is a boy of few words "Grumbot!" Grian yelled proudly his wings puffed up slightly as he showed Xisuma the lego creation. Doc stared at Grian shocked, Cub ended up dropping a clipboard he was using to check kids in as they arrived, Xisuma just blinked a few times "guys did Grian just speak a proper word? Like without any error?" Xisuma glanced at Doc who nodded back "holy shi-" before Cub could finish his sentence Scar came running thru the door.

"Cub said bad word" Bdubs said making Scar laugh as he put his bag in his cubby "Grian!" he ran over hugging the avian "sorry i was late. I couldnt find my water bottle" Mumbo held Grian "me and Grian made a robot" Mumbo spoke proudly.

Bdubs looked at Rens ears reaching up petting them "fluffy" Ren nuzzled into Bdubs hand "
