Meanwhile back on the Hermit island a notification appeared on everyone's phones.

Xelqua joined the game

Xelqua released a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding and gave a small thrilled laugh. "It worked! Oh, it really worked!" He had a large grin on his face and quickly moved to look for Grian and Sally. "Grian! Sally! I'm home!" He called but when there was nothing but his echoed voice bouncing around the base, his smile faltered. "Grian? Sally?" He called again but nothing but eerie unnatural silence in the base.
He frowned. Sure, Grian not being at the base was pretty normal and he wasn't sure if he would be or not when he came back but... Sally never left. Not without him.

Something was wrong. He quickly saddled on his elytra and took off into the air quickly, skillfully flying out of the base.

He flew to Mumbo's base but found it empty too. He frowned deeply and pulled out his phone and sent a text.

[Xelqua: Where is everyone?]

He waited until someone replied.

[MumboJumbo: Concorp.]
Xel nodded to himself and took off quickly.

Not much later, he landed at Concorp and looked at the group who surrounded him.

They all startled at the sight of him and looked confused before dismissing their confusion for the time being.

Mumbo came up to him, holding Sally out to him. "Xel? Where have you been?!"
"At my old world... Why? What happened?" He asked as he took Sally into his arms. "Where's Grian?"
They all glanced at each other.

"We... don't know... but..." Scar started as Cub showed Xel the notification everyone had gotten about an hour and a half ago.

Grian died.

"What?! When?!" Xel exclaimed.

"About an hour ago." Iskall answered. 

"Where is he?" 

"We don't know." Stress admitted. 

"We've searched everywhere for him." Impulse explained. "Xisuma's missing too."

Xel frowned. "You don't think that EX would-" 

The others' eyes widened.

"That... That might be possible..." Cleo agreed.

"Mumbo did say he saw who he thought was Grian but he ended up disappearing into thin air." Tango pointed out. 

Mumbo nodded. "It was so weird..." 

Xel narrowed his eyes as he thought. "So we are trying to find out where to look now?"

They nodded. 

"Well... I guess the best thing we can do is start looking again."

Everyone agreed and quickly set off to search the server again.

(So sorry for the wait, I just lost motivation for this one. I'm still not very inspired and sure what I'm doing with this one but hey, Xel's home. Hopefully I'll get this one moving again soon.
