Emma's P.O.V.

"Hi, Harry!" I said, "Who are your parents? Mine are non-magical people-" 

Hagrid cut me off,"Muggles" he corrected. I nodded. "My parents are muggles," 

He frowned. "My parents are dead." he said calmly. 

"Oh, I'm sorry" I said. 

"No, it's fine, honestly, I'm over it." he responded waving it off." 

"Now come on," said Hagrid, "We gotta take Emma here home" 

"Where will Harry go?" I asked. 

"He's comin' wi' me." Hagrid responded..

We got in the FLYING motorcycle and flew home. I still can't get over the fact that it FLIES. Once I got home, Hagrid gave me and Hermione some HUGE gold coins. "Those are Galleons" he said, "I gave you abou' 100 so that'll be enough to buy all of your school supplies."

He told Mum and Dad to take us somewhere called the Leaky Cauldron and tap the something brick, I wasn't paying too much attention. Then he said bye, and he and Harry left. I asked Mum where we had to go, and she said, "Dear, I will tell you in the morning, for now, get some rest, and Happy Birthday." I never realized how long it took to drive to Harry's place and back, because it was nightfall already.

I went up to my room and pounced on my bed. I changed and got in the covers. As I was going to bed, I saw another owl outside my window holding a package. I opened the window and let it in. It gave me the package and flew off. I opened it. Inside was the most beautiful ring I've ever seen. It was black silver with a big blue sapphire in the middle. There was a card too, it said Happy Birthday, in swirly letters, like the moon. I had changed. Yesterday I was just Emma Granger regular girl, today I was Emma Granger, 11 year old witch.

I woke up the next morning tired, and decided to open my letter again, it said the same thing, except I decided to look at the list of supplies.

First Year Students will require:

◾PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICKS

I wondered if we could find all of this stuff in London. I brushed my teeth and changed into a red shirt, leggings, and black converse.

I walked downstairs and sat down at the table. I made myself some cereal and started eating. Mum, Dad, and 'Mione were already done. "When are we going to buy all the school supplies?" I asked, as I quickly finished my cereal. 

"Right now, once you're done eating," said Hermione.

I stood up to wash my plate and we left. The Leaky Cauldron wasn't that far, honestly, it was in driving distance. We got out of the car and walked through the store. A lot of people looked at us weird, but I ignored them. We finally got to the back of the store and Mum and Dad pushed a certain brick. Crack! A hole opened up, and then more, and more, and more, and more, and then there was a huge archway leading to a whole alley.

'"Welcome to Diagon Alley," said a voice. I turned around to see a witch with her grandson. 

"Thanks," I said back. We all walked inside and I got out my list. 

"Ok family, first we need to go to Madam Malkin's for our uniform. Lucky for us, it was the first store there. We first bought the robes, then the hat, then one by one we got things off the list.

The next place was Flourish and Blotts the bookstore. We got all of our books there, and really quickly too.

Soon we knocked everything off the list, except an animal and a wand. I doubted Mum and Dad were going to get me an animal, so we went to get a wand.

We asked around, and apparently the best place to get them was Ollivander's. We walked there. Once we got inside, it looked abandoned. "Hello?" I said.

Suddenly, a man came in and said, "Hello, indeed." 

" Hi! I'm Emma Granger, and this is my sister Hermione Granger, we came here for a wand" I said getting straight to the point. 

He chuckled, "Hello Miss Grangers. Hermione, we shall find you a wand first." 

Hermione stepped up as Ollivander handed her a grayish wand, and said "Holly and phoenix feather core, try it." she gave it a flick and something exploded in the back. 

"Oh dear," he said. He gave her another one.

"Vine wood, and dragon heartstring core," he said. She gave it a flick and a light turned on. "Yes! Yes!" he said, "That will be 10 Galleons, please." Mum handed him the money. "Now for you Emma." he said. He handed me many more wands than 'Mione. Finally, we decided on a wand with rosewood, and for the core, phoenix feather. We paid for my wand and my parents told me and 'Mione to sit outside, because they had to run an errand.

We sat outside until this blonde-almost white- haired boy came up to us. "Who are you, and why are you sitting outside of Ollivander's?" he asked. 

"That's such a polite and civilized way to start a conversation." I said, sarcastically. 

"Apologies, Draco Malfoy, and you are?" he said. 

"I'm Emma Granger, and this is my sister, Hermione Granger." I said.

He nodded. "Do you know what house you will be in at Hogwarts?" he asked. 

"Uh, no?" Hermione said. 

"Let's hope you will be in Slytherin, it's the best one," he said smirking. 

"Uh, yeah, nice talking to you, but I see my parents, bye!" I said. He waved good bye.

I saw Mum and Dad holding something, a cage! With an owl in it! "Happy Birthday dear" they said when we got to them. They gave me the owl. 

"Thank you!" I said. It was a grey owl with white and black feathers here and there. "Athena." I said. 

"Huh?" asked Hermione. 

"That's her name."

We drove home and we had been there all day! I had dinner and sat down on my bed. I looked at Athena and whispered, "Best Gift Ever," and fell sleep.
