(13th August, 1978) Hermione's POV

"Hermione, are you ready?" Remus asks as he enters my bedroom.

"Yes" I say as turn around. "Your tie is crocked" I tell him and start to straighten. "I still can't believe we managed to pull this off in ten weeks" I state.

"It was a crazy ten weeks" he agrees.

"Shouldn't you be keeping James calm?" I ask him.

"Shouldn't you be keeping Lily calm?" he shoots back.

"I just had to get her flowers" I tell him.

"Have you ever thought about us tying the note?" he asks me as I finish with his tie.

"I never thought I'd fall for you, let alone about that" I tell him as I turn around to get the flowers.

"Ever thought of marrying anyone? Of starting a family?" he asks me.

"I used to baby on summer holidays, so I always saw myself having a kid one day. But I could never picture who the father was or if I was even married" I explain. "I should get these to Lily and you have to get back to James" I tell him.

"You're right" he agrees as he wraps his arms around me. "Kiss before you go?" he asks me. I smile and kiss him. He goes to deepen it and I pull.

"Do that and we'll miss their wedding" I tell him teasingly.

"You're right" he agrees. "But how about after the wedding? My parents aren't home for a few days" he tells me.

"It's a date" I tell him and leave the room. We'd never done it before. Though we have gotten close and made out a lot. But it's just never felt like the right time. Besides I always thought I'd wait until marriage to do it. But Remus and I have been together nearly two years.

"What took you so long?" Marlene demands as I enter Lily's room.

"Ran into Remus" I tell her.

"And you didn't mess up your hair" Alice says shocked.

"We're not that bad" I state as I hand Lily the flowers. "There, you're ready" I declare.

"Good, because all the guests have arrived" Euphemia declares as she appears with Lily's mum.

"Did Petunia come?" Lily asks her mum, hopeful.

"No, I'm sorry" her mum says.

"So ungrateful, Lily attended her wedding" Alice snaps.

"It's fine" Lily assures us. "I'll send her a muggle photo of it" she states.

"Lets get you married" Marlene declares. We all head downstairs. The wedding is in the garden. Euphemia and Lily's mum go outside. The orchestra starts. Marlene and Sirius walk down the aisle. Then Alice and Frank. I follow them with Remus, then Lily walks down the aisle with her father. Peter is the ring bearer.

The wedding ceremony was beautiful. Before we can go inside for the reception. Remus gets everyones attention. "Before we all go enjoy the feast, I have something to ask Mia" he states. He holds his hand out to me and I take it confused. "Mia, I've liked you since we meet and fell in love with you in our sixth year. I know we never really talked about our future, we've always lived in the moment. But I can't imagine my life with anyone else. So will you marry me?" he asks while getting on one knee.

I just nod trying not to cry. He smiles and places the ring on my finger. As everyone claps and cheers for us. "Remus, Mia. I have an idea" James says smiling. He look at Lily, who nods her head. "Get married now" he tells us. I look at him shocked.

"But this is your wedding" I tell him. "Besides Remus' parents aren't here, I'm not dressed appropriately, and it's your wedding day" I remind him.

"My parents are here, actually" Remus says sheepishly and I look at him surprised. "Mum even brought you a dress to change into" he adds.

"Lily, are you really ok with this?" I ask her.

"Of course, besides I've never seen two people more meant for each other. Except for James and I, of course" she says smiling.

"Come on Mia, you need to get changed" Alice tells me.

"I guess we're getting married today" I tell Remus laughing. He smiles and lets the girls take me inside. "I can't believe this is happening" I state.

"Believe it Hermione" Marlene tells me.

"I feel bad though, this is supposed to be Lily and James' day" I tell them.

"They don't mind" Alice assures me. "Remus told James and Sirius about wanting to marry you. It was James' idea to spring the wedding on you" she explains.

"Remus was on the fence about it, thinking Lily wouldn't be happy. But when he and James discussed it with her, she was overjoyed they she'd get to share this day with someone else" Hope tells me. "I've never seen my son so happy, please take care of him Hermione" she says.

"Wait, I have no one to walk me down the aisle" I state.

"Remus has taken care of it" she assures me. Soon I'm in a white dress, with my hair half down. We all head downstairs and I see Hector.

"Hector" I say surprised and he smiles.

"You look lovely Hermione" he tells me. "I hope you don't mind me working you down the aisle with you great grandfather" he says.

"Wait, he's here?" I ask shocked.

"Yep, along with my family and his. We couldn't miss your wedding day" he tells me.

"But, what if they see something magical?" I ask him.

"Don't worry, everything is covered. The muggles won't see anything magical" he assures me. "Now lets get you married cousin" he tells me as the music starts. We go outside and are meant by my great grandfather, he looks a lot like my dad. I introduced myself and we all walk down the aisle.

Soon it's time for vows. "Well I didn't know I'd get engaged today, much less married. So I don't have anything prepared" I admit sheepishly. "But, I love you Remus. More then I ever dream I could. I told you earlier I could never picture who the father of my future children would be. If I ever saw myself married. But now I can see it and I can see us growing old together surrounded by our grandchildren" I state. "I promise to love you today, tomorrow and always. In sickness and in health, for richer or poorer. For always" I tell him.

"Mia, before we meet. I never imagined myself loving anyone, let alone someone loving me in return. But I can't wait to spend the rest my life with you. I promise to always stand by your side and to support you through out the rest of our lives together. I love you will all my heart and I promise that will never change. For as long as we're together, for always" he vows. We pronounced husband and wife, then kiss.

The reception was amazing. I now know why Remus had us take dance lessons. He said it was just meant as a distraction, a way to relax and forget the war. Instead, we'd been learning our wedding dance this whole time. It was perfect and that night I gave myself to him fully. And I don't regret it or marrying him.
