Hermione's POV

So it's time for exams. Remus made everyone in his dorm study. While I studied with Lily and my other dorm mates. It felt nice having friends that are girls. Though it was annoying with Marlene and Alice trying to set me up on dates. But Lily got them to stop.

I hope Harry and Ron studied for exams. And pass them. It's strange having friends that don't ask me to check their homework or help them do it. The weather is nicer. The girls convinced me to go with them to the lake after the exams for the day are done to relax before dinner.

"Think we'll pass?" Alice asks me.

"We had better, with how much Lily and Hermione made us study" Marlene groans.

"We haven't been that bad" Lily tells her.

"You're right" Marlene says. "You've been worse" she groans and we laugh.

"How about we stop studying?" I suggest. "Exams start tomorrow morning and we all need a good nights rest" I state.

"Best idea I've heard all day" Marlene cheers. Lily and Alice chuckle. We pack up our books. There's a knock on the door and we look to see the head girl.

"Yes, can we help you?" Alice asks her.

"A guy wants to Hermione" she states.

"Ohh" Marlene says nudging me.

"Get your mind out of the gutter Marlene" Lily tells her. I left the room and go into the common room to see Sirius. I frown in confusion.

"Sirius, what's the matter?" I ask him.

"You got to save us from Remus" he begs.

"What's he done?" I ask him confused.

"He won't stop talking about exams" he whines.

"What makes you think I can do anything?" I ask him.

"He listens to you, please try" he pleads.

"Fine, I'll talk to him" I agree. He leads me to his dorm. Where we find the other three studying. "Ok, enough studying" I tell them.

"Yes!" James cheers shutting his book.

"But exams start tomorrow" Remus says not putting his book down.

"Enough studying Remus, we all need a good nights rest. So that we have a clear head for tomorrow" I tell him. He sighs closing his book. "Now two rules for the rest of the night Remus"I state.

"Rules?" he says confused.

"Yes, rules" I tell him. "No more talk of exams and no more books" I tell him.

"But" he goes to protest.

"No buts" I tell him.

"Fine" he agrees reluctantly.

"You're a life saver Hermione" James tells me.

"A miracle worker" Sirius adds as he lounges on his bed.

"I only made him see sense" I tell them. "Now, I'm gonna go relax" I add and go to leave.

"Wait!" Remus calls getting off of his bed.

"Yes?" I ask.

"Do you, uh" he says looking around the room. "Do you want to play a game of chess?" he asks me.

"Muggle or wizard?" I ask him.

"Muggle" he answers.

"Sure" I say and we set up at the desk. While James and Sirius decide to play exploding snap. While Peter watches them.

"So, how is Crookshanks?" Remus asks me.

"He is doing well, he's asleep on my bed at the moment" I tell him.

"I'm glad he is doing well" he says smiling. We start to play. He won and I returned to my dorm to go to bed.

(Time skip)

Exams are going well. At least I think they are. Guess I'll have to wait until the summer holidays to find out the results. But would I even still be here? Or would I return to my time? No, seems to know the answer to that question.

Anyway it's the final day of exams and we're doing our last two theory exams & practical exam. Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts theory and Transfiguration practical. We had Charms first in the morning, which I really enjoyed.

According to Sirius I stick my tongue out when I'm concentrating. He started to tease me. But Remus stopped him. But I did blush when he said it was cute. The girls noticed and Marlene started to tease me about liking Remus.

Transfiguration went well. At least I think so. I did everything the examiner asked of me. Did the vanishing spell, transfigured an armadillo into a pillow and conjured a book from thin air. We then had lunch and had Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Afterwards the girls cheered. We all go to the lake. Dipping our feet into the water. Until I see James and Sirius advancing on Snape wands drawn. I get up and rush over. Getting in between them. "Stop right there you two" I tell them firmly.

"Hermione, fancy seeing you here" Sirius says acting innocent.

"Beautiful day" James adds.

"Enough, not more bullying Snape" I tell them.

"We aren't" James tells me in a whisper. I look at him unconvinced.

"He's right" Sirius adds. "Peter was getting suspicious of us leaving Snape alone" he states.

"So we spoke to Snape and agreed to spontaneous duels. Once of us attack the other. Exchange a few spells, before walking away cursing each other" James explains in a quiet voice.

"Besides, I'm bored" Sirius says pouting.

"Doesn't mean you go picking fights. Besides two on one isn't fear" I tell him.

"Do you think Voldemort and his death eaters care about fairness?" he asks me. I remain silent. "Exactly, now can we attack Snape?" he asks me.

"Not today" I tell him. "We just finished exams and should enjoy the sun. Freedom of not having to study anymore" I state.

"Fine" they grumble and look at each other. "Quidditch" they say in unison and race off for the pitch. Peter trails them.

"Where are they going?" Remus asks me confused looking up from his book.

"The quidditch pitch" I tell him. "What are you reading?" I ask him. He shows me the book. "Do you want company?" I ask. He shrugs and I sit beside him. We start to read the book together relaxing against the tree in the shade. Crookshanks joins us as we lose ourselves in the book.
