Hermione's POV

I can't believe it's been two months since school began. I still haven't heard from Dumbledore about his hunt for horcruxes yet. I hope it's going well. I've been focusing on my studying though. Remus has kept his promise and has been helping me with defense against the dark arts. While I help him with herbology.

So far, I've managed to keep up with the work load just fine. As have the others. Though Peter would be lost without us helping him. Anyway, James and Sirius thought it'd be a good idea for me to become an animagus. No idea why. But I agreed. Only they and Remus know though. The potion is made and now we are just waiting for a lighting storm. Which there is supposed to be one tonight. Which is Halloween.

Right now, I am doing some homework before the feast in the common room. I am alone with Crookshanks. Who is now pretty much full grown. "Behind on homework?" Remus asks as he joins me.

"Nope, just staying on top of it" I tell him.

"Are you ready for tonight?" he asks me.

"Yes, I said the incantation earlier. I am all prepared" I state.

"Any idea what you will be?" he asks me curious.

"I'm not sure" I admit. "I was hoping to learn the patronus charm. But I've been to preoccupied with everything else" I explain.

"I could teach you" he offers.

"Really?" I ask.

"It'd help boost your grade in defense" he tells me and I smile.

"Thanks, that'd be great" I tell him.

"Mia, can we talk?" he asks.

"We are talking" I say confused looking up from my homework.

"Not about school" he states.

"I can't tell you anything about the future" I tell him lowly.

"Not that either" he tells me.

"Then what?" I ask him confused.

"I like you Mia, as more then a friend" he states.

"Remus, we've talked about this" I remind him.

"I know, but it's been nearly a whole year and my feelings have not diminished" he tells me.

"Remus, we could never work. I mean when this is over. I'll probably be returned to my time and in that time you're old enough to be my father and will most likely be my professor" I remind him.

"But what if you stayed?" he asks me. "Then there'd be no reason we couldn't try" he tells me. "Besides the age gap wouldn't bother me" he adds cupping my cheek with his hand. "I know we have NEWTs, you have a war to stop, a world to save, I have prefect duties and there are so many things that  stand in our way. But I am ready to face them for us, are you?" he asks me.

I don't answer, instead I start to lean in. He does the same as my eyes close. Forgetting where we are and all the reasons this is wrong. Only thinking about how much I want him as he wants me. But our moment is ruined when Sirius barges into the common room. "There you love birds are, come on otherwise we'll be late for the feast" he declares. Then sees us blushing and avoiding eye contact. "Did I interrupt something?" he asks us.

I look at Remus and he looks at me. "No" he tells Sirius getting to his feet. He holds his hand out to me and helps me to my feet. "Lets go" he says and we leave the common room. Still holding hands. As Sirius follows us.

When we reach the great hall, we let go of each others hands. Joining our friends as the feast begins. During the feast we hear the lighting storm start. I share a look with James and Sirius. They nod and we leave the feast early. Under the impression I was helping them with homework. We go to the astronomy tower where my potion is waiting.

I smile as I see it is blood red, like it should be. "Looks perfect" James tells me.

"You ready?" Sirius asks me. I nod my head and take out my wand. I point it at my heart.

"Amato Animo Animato Animagus" I say clearly. Then down the potion. A searing pain shoots through me as I see a brown wolf in my head. I feel a double heartbeat within me. I let the feeling wash through me, thinking of the wolf I'd seen.

"Whoa!" James and Sirius say when the feeling disappears. I open my eyes and look up at them. I'm shorter then before. "You look beautiful Mia" James tells me.

"You and Moony are so gonna be together" Sirius teases. I cock my head confused. "You're a wolf, a brown one. Your eyes are still the same and there is a slight curl to your fur" he explains.

"Lets go for a run" James suggests. Sirius agrees and they lead me out of the castle secretly. We go into the forest and they transform together.

Sirius pops me with his snout and takes off into the forest. I growl playfully and race after. As James shakes with laughter. It was a fun night. We were only out for an hour though. Before going back to the castle. On the way back Sirius and James came up with a nickname for me. They choose Aurora, well Sirius did and James agreed to it. We all agreed it'd be our secret. Well ours and Remus'. Though I am sure Dumbledore knows, he knows everything.

"There you are Mia, I have a letter for you" Lily states as we enter the common room. She hands it to me. "From Dumbledore" she whispers. I nod and open it. He was asking me to come to his office. I told the others I forgot something in the library and left to go see him. Wondering what he wants to talk about.
