Hermione's POV

So, I am sure you all are wondering. Are Remus and I dating? Yes, we are and things are going well so far. Though we haven't told anyone yet. We're enjoying keeping it a secret and just enjoying getting to know each other better. Without Sirius and James teasing us. Or the girls asking me questions. Though we do plan on telling them soon.

Over the year so far. Lily has started to see the real James. Not the egotist prankster and show off. But the James who'd lay down his life for any of his friends and is always willing to help others. Also that he is a lot smarter then his goofiness let on. Sirius and I have a bet on when they'll finally get together. He says Christmas and I say the end of the year. It's actually Christmas time now.

We all are at the Potter mansion. Well, not all. Alice and at Franks celebrating Christmas with his mother. Marlene and her family are on holiday in France. Peter is home sick. So it's just James, Sirius, Lily, Remus and I. And of course James' parents. Remus parents will be joining us for dinner, along with my second cousin.

"I didn't know your family was so..." Lily trials off.

"Rich" Sirius offers.

"I don't like to brag, besides I prefer simple things in life. As do my parents" James states.

"We do" his mum agrees as she appears with hot chocolate.

"What is it you do?" Lily asks her curious.

"Me? Nothing" Euphemia answers. "My husband though is a potions master and owns a potion making business. Which he plans on selling soon" she explains.

"Wait, are you good at potions too?" Lily asks James surprised.

"Dad taught me everything I know" James tells her with a shrug.

"Honey, we're home" Fleamont calls. As he joins us with Hector.

"Hector, welcome" I say with a smile.

"Greeting Hermione, I heard about your OWL results and I am thrilled to hear you got an outstanding in potions. Keep up the good work little cousin" he tells me.

"I will" I assure him. I then introduce him to my friends. Euphemia goes to check on dinner as we all enjoy our hot chocolate. Remus parents arrive as Euphemia announces dinner is ready. As we all head for the dining room. James and Lily get stuck under some mistletoe.

"God dam it Sirius" James curses.

"What?" Sirius asks innocently as Remus chuckles.

"Can't we just remove it?" Lily asks.

"Not that mistletoe" I tell her. "Sirius has enchanted it, only way to move it. Is after the pair under it kiss for thirty seconds" I explain.

"How do you know that?" Sirius asks me and I blush.

"None of your business" I tell him.

"Who did you have to kiss?" Lily asks me.

"I think I hear Euphemia calling" I tell them and race off into the dining room. Remus chuckling behind me. I take my seat and he sits beside. He holds my hand under the table as dinner is served. Lily soon joins us blushing like mad with James behind her.

"You know Lily dear, you look familiar" Fleamont states.

"I do?" Lily asks.

"Yes, don't you agree Euphemia dear?" he asks.

"Now you mention she does look familiar" Euphemia agrees with a teasing smile.

"No she doesn't" James tells them blushing.

"I remember, it was when we were seeing you off for your first year at Hogwarts" Fleamont declares.

"You tugged on my sleeve and asked if she was an angel" Euphemia explains.

"He told us he'd marry her one day" Fleamont adds.

"Mum, dad you're embarrassing me" James whines.

"I think it's sweet" Lily tells him with a light blush.

"You do?" he asks her surprised. She nods her head.

"I know, I've always said no. But would you like to go with me to Hogsmeade?" she ask him.

"I'd love too" he tells her.

"Well lets eat before dinner gets cold" Hope tells us. We all agree and start to dig in. "So Remus honey, when were you going to tell us you're dating Hermione?" she asks. Remus chokes on his drink and Sirius slaps him on the back.

"I was wondering that too" Euphemia says looking at me. "Hermione, when were you going to tell us?" she asks me.

"Soon" I say sheepishly.

"Wait" James says with Sirius. "You two are dating?!" they demand. Remus and I nod our heads.

"Since when?" Lily asks us.

"Halloween" Remus answers. "But we're taking things slow" he adds.

"We haven't even gone on a date yet" I state.

"How did you know mum?" he asks his mum.

"A mother always knows" she tells him.

"So my cousin is dating a werewolf? Well good on you Hermione, I am proud of you" Hector tells me. We all look at him surprised. "What? It wasn't that hard to figure out" he states.

"Besides there is nothing wrong with being a werewolf" Lily adds.

"I take it, you are one of Greyback's victims?" Hector asks.

"Yes" Remus says.

"He was only six, I had been head of the hunt for werewolves at the time. I'd angered Greyback, he retaliated by attacking my son" Lyall explains.

"I'm sure you'd be pleased to hear then someone is working on a potion to help werewolves keep their mind during a full moon" Hector states.

"There is?" Remus, his parents, Lily and Sirius ask surprised.

"Yes, Damocles Belby. Quiet gifted with potions, though he is still working on it" Hector states. "Once he has mastered it and we know it works. I'd be happy to supply you with a lifetime supply" he tells Remus.

"But that'd be expensive" Remus states.

"Money is no issue" Hector assures him. "Besides, if you end up marrying Hermione one day. We'll be family and family help each other" he tells him.

"Thank you so much" Hope says.

"We're grateful" Lyall says. Dinner continues and we then watched a movie. Before having dessert. Lyall then played the piano and we sung Christmas carols. Both muggle and wizard. It was an amazing night. We all stayed the night as the mansion had enough rooms for everyone.

The next morning we all got up early to open presents. James gave Lily a bracelet he'd woven himself. She was touched that he'd make her something and not just buy it. Remus got me a pendant with a carved wolf on it. I got him a book on advance defense against the dark arts spells. Crookshanks got a nice collar and a new brush. Which he loved. Sirius got a tone of money from an uncle of his that passed away. He plans on using it to get himself an apartment.

After opening all the presents. The others all went home. Leaving just Sirius, James, his parents and I at the manor. I helped Euphemia clean up. While Sirius and James decided to go have a snowball fight outside. While Fleamont referred. It was truly an amazing Christmas, I'd never had so much fun over the holidays.
