Third Persons POV

Hermione is waiting in the side room where she waited as a first year. Until she is summoned. Right now everyone else is in the great hall. Confused about the lack of food. "I'm sure you're all wondering where breakfast is" Dumbledore says as he addresses the school. "It'll be served shortly, but right now I have a speech" he states. Everyone murmurs looking confused.

"We have a new student joining us. She is a transfer from the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in America. Her name is Hermione Granger, though her friends call her Mia. So join me in welcoming her into our school" he says. Hermione enters the room. Everyone watches her as she walks up to the front to stand by Dumbledore. "Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself Miss Granger" he says.

Hermione's POV

"Well I was born in England, lived there until I was nine. Then my family moved to New York for work. I just moved back, my pen pal and friend Remus Lupin. Has been helping me prepare for classes" I explain.

"You may join the gryffindors" Dumbledore tells me. I give him a smile and go sit by Remus. "Let breakfast begin" he says and breakfast appears. I help myself to some bacon and eggs. When a red head sits across from us.

"Remus, why didn't you tell me Mia was transferring?" she asks.

"It was suppose to be a surprise" he mutters. "Mia, this is Lily Evans" he says.

"Pleasure to meet you" I say shaking her hand. "Thanks for the worksheets, they helped a to" I tell her.

"Well I look forward to sharing classes with you. Maybe we could study together sometime. The three of us" she says.

"I'd like that, I hope you and your dorm mates don't mind a new room mate" I say with a sheepish smile.

"Are you kidding? They can't wait to meet you, here they are now. Alice, Marlene!" she calls. A brunette and blonde sit either side of her. Along with a fifth year boy. "Girls, this is Mia" she says.

"So you're Remus girlfriend?" the blonde asks and I blush with Remus.

"We're not dating" we say in unison.

"That's what Black says" she states.

"You'll have excuse Marlene, she loves gossip. I'm Alice and this is my boyfriend Frank" the brunette says.

"Pleasure" I say.

"Hey Evans, maybe we can study together some time" James says with a charming smile.

"Go jump in the lake" she tells him. "Anyway Mia, if you need any help finding classes" she tells me.

"Actually I was going to offer to give her a tour" Remus says sheepishly.

"You don't have to Remus, you've already done so much for me" I tell him.

"It'd be my honour" he tells me.

"Ok, thank you Remus" I say with a smile. "But I'd love to have lunch with you girls. I want to get to know my new dorm mates" I state.

"Great, meet us here at lunch" Marlene tells me. Just then McGonagall appears.

"Your timetable Miss Granger, please try to be on time" she tells me.

"I will, thank you Professor McGonagall" I say with a smile. She smiles back before going back to the teacher table.

"So what house were you in at Ilvermorny?" Alice asks me curious.

"Wampus, it favored warriors. Guess that's why I was put into Gryffindor" I tell her.

"How are you sorted?" Peter asks.

"When a student started their education at Ilvermorny, they would step onto a Gordian Knot on the floor in the center of the Entrance Hall, with large wooden statues of the mascots of the four houses facing them. The carved statues would react if they wanted the student in their house" I explain.

"I thought you did have Ancient Runes at Ilvermorny" Lily says.

"We do, but it's a new subject. I've only studied it for a year, while you've had two years" I tell her.

"Well if you need help with catching up on any subjects, just ask" she tells me.

"Same here" Remus tells me.

"Thank you both, I'm sure I can learn a lot from you both" I tell them smiling. We enjoy our breakfast making small talk. Before classes.

(Time skip)

"You wished to see us Headmaster" James says as we enter Dumbledore's office. "Mum, dad" he says shocked giving his mum a hug.

"Miss Granger, there's are Fleamont and Euphemia Potter. They have agreed to look after you for your stay here in this time" Dumbledore tells me.

"That's very generous of you Mr and Mrs Potter. I'd be honoured to stay with you" I tell them.

"Oh please call us by our first names dear, James we expect you to make her feel welcomed" Euphemia states.

"Yes mum" he says.

"By the way Mr Potter, your hair potion works wonders" I tell him.

"Glad to hear it" he says with a smile messing his messy hair. "Are you any good at potions?" he asks me curious.

"I was top of my class at Ilvermorny" I tell him.

"Maybe you can help me brew some potions over the holidays" he says with a smile.

"I'd like that" I tell him. "Is there anything else?" I ask them.

"No, you both may leave" Dumbledore tells us. We leave the office and head back towards Gryffindor tower.

"You know your way around already" James says. I give him a look. "Right, you went here in the future" he mutters. "Do I end up with Lily?" he asks me.

"Maybe you do, maybe you don't. I'm not telling" I tell him. "I'll give one peace of advice though, never trust Peter with your life" I tell him. Before entering the common room. The girls grab me and drag me to our dorm room. Where we have a sleepover, getting to know each other.
