(August 19th, 1980) Hermione's POV

I'm a week and half from my due date, ten days to be exact. Harry and Neville are growing well. Lily and Alice send me a lot of pictures. Remus has been away more on order business. So I am at Hector's. Just to give Remus some peace of mind, so I am not home alone.

Anyway, I am cleaning at the moment. "I thought expectant mothers are meant to take it easy the last couple of weeks" Hector says.

"I thought you were brewing" I say as I hang the now clean curtains up with magic.

"It's simmering now, did Remus take his potion?" he asks me.

"Took it this morning" I tell him. "We're praying the maybe doesn't come on the full moon" I state. "As we both want him there for the birth" I add.

"I'm sure he will be" Hector assures me. "Now will you take it easy?" he asks me.

"I need to keep busy" I tell him.

"Leave her be Hector" his mother says as she appears. "I was active until the day you were born and so was her mother with her" she states. "Though you shouldn't stress deary" she tells me.

"I know, it's just with him knowing something maybe up. Like the order has secret information, I can't help it" I tell her. Voldemort is suspecting that the order knows something about his plans. He suspects we have a spy within his ranks. He's not wrong, but still I worry about everyones safety. Along with mine and my baby's. What if he finds out about me?

"How about I make us all some dinner?" she suggests.

"Dinner sounds great mum" Hector tells her. She heads to the kitchen. "Now I am going to check on the potion, you take it easy" he tells me. I sigh and sit down on the couch. "Good" he says and leaves. I groan gently as pain hits me again. Stupid braxton hicks I thick as I rub my back. Maybe Remus can give me a massage tonight.

(Mini time skip)

There's a knock on the door and I get up. When my water breaks and I curse. Hector appears and sees. "Mum get the healer!" he shouts and there's more knocks at the door. He curses drawing his wand going to answer it as his mother appears and leads me to my room. I got changed and pass as she fills the tub she'd conjured. I wanted an at home water birth.

"James, what a surprise" I say with a smile.

"Remus asked me to check on you" he states.

"He shouldn't have, you have Harry and Lily to look after" I tell him.

"Sirius is with them" he tells me. "I take it the baby is coming" he says looking at the tub.

"Yep, I'm gonna kill Sirius" I tell him and he chuckles. "Can you please message Remus?" I ask him. He nods his head and sends a patronus.

"Anything else I can do, sister?" he asks.

"Go home to your wife and son" I tell him. "Also tell Sirius to watch his back" I add. He chuckles. "God" I moan in pain. "Why didn't Lily or Alice tell me this would hurt so much?" I grumble.

"It's worth it, at least that's what Lily says every time she sees Harry. She loves him so much" Jame tells me.

"I already love my baby" I assure him. Just then we hear the door bang open downstairs. I share a look with James.

"Wait here" he says and head downstairs wand out. Hector's mum hands me my wand and stands in front of me her own wand drawn.

"I don't care! I'll answer your question later, I want to see Mia!" I hear Remus shout. I hear someone run upstairs and he appears at the door way. "Mia, is it time?" he asks me.

"Yes, what name did we chose for a girl?" I ask.

"Faith" he says and I relax. He hugs me as James appears with Hector.

"It's him guys" I assure them.

"How do you know Mia?" James asks.

"I asked him what name we'd chosen for a girl. We've told no one else" I tell him. I groan as another contraction hits. "Nine minutes apart" I say looking at the clock.

"Ok, everyone who is not a woman or the father out" the healer says as she appears. James and Hector leave. The healer checks my dilation. "Only seven centimeters, how far apart are contractions?" she asks.

"Nine minutes" Remus tells her.

"Do you want any pain relief Mrs Lupin?" the healer asks me.

"Just Mia and no thank you" I tell her. "Remus, would you be opposed to me killing Sirius?" I ask.

"Of course not" he says with a chuckle.

"I'm serious" I tell him.

"No, he is" he tells me and I giggle.

"Most women want to kill their partner during labor" the healer states.

"His friend Sirius, jinxed me. Said our baby would be early" I tell her.

"That makes sense" she says with a gentle laugh. Soon I was in the tub with Remus and the healer. "On the next contraction push" she tells me and I do so.

(Time skip)

Several hours later Faith Hope Jean Lupin is born and she is perfect. "She's beautiful, just like her mother" Remus says smiling as he holds her.

"Do I get to hold her yet?" I ask him teasingly. He smiles handing her to me as James, Lily, Harry and Sirius appear. "She has your eyes" I coo smiling.

"Oh Mia, she's gorgeous" Lily says as she hands Harry to James.

"What's her name?" Sirius asks us.

"Faith" I tell them.

"Faith Hope Jean Lupin" Remus clarifies.

"I bet she and Harry will hook up in future" James says.

"Over my dead body" Remus tells him. "No one is good enough for my little angel" he says smiling at Faith. Who is now sleeping in my arms.

"Look at you, already the over protective father" Sirius says clapping him on the back.

"It's instinct" Remus says shrugging.

"I think we should let the family sleep" Hector states.

"I made up rooms for you all, so you can stay the night. It's late" his mum states. They all leave the room and Remus sits beside me on the bed.

"You gonna watch her sleep all night?" he asks me.

"She just so perfect" I tell him smiling.

"She is" he agrees as he hugs us. "I can't believe she's all ours" he says. We stay up for another hour, before I start to become tired. Remus puts our daughter in a portable crib next to our bed and then joins me in bed. We both fall asleep watching our daughter, our Faith sleep.
