"Back here after coming yesterday morning.."

"You came yesterday? I didn't think you'd be the person to do that on the weekend, [Name]-san." Kiyoko had a clipboard held in her lap, she sat up straight on the bench as she glanced at, the way your back was slouched over while a frown was on your face. It was Monday and you were once again in the gym for some unknown reason (to avoid riding with your brother, Leiko) and the final bell had already rung.

You weren't apart of any clubs but you may as well sign one with the 'Karasuno Volleyball Club' as the title because it sure seemed like you were apart of it. Sugawara had already said you were apart of the team anyway.

"Ah, I know Kiyoko-chan but Asahi-san and Sugawara-san showed up at my house with Tanaka and Nishinoya so I had to make them leave as soon as possible."

She only a raise a single brow and neither of you flinched when Tanaka was heard from the court, "WHAT?! What're you tryna say, HUH?!" A sigh was his only reply for a few seconds as he puffed his chest out with his brows pulled down harshly, he craned his head up like a thug and it was almost amusing, "If anyone even looked at you then you'd assume they were trying to pick a fight. It's like, needed for you to go on with your day."

You saw him scratch his head looking a bit bashful but he still wore half a smile, he stormed away and yelled for a toss, "Oh, he actually left. I'll have to take notes on how you did that, [Name]-san."

Kiyoko spoke in a soft tone, her eyes seeming to calculate both Tanaka and yourself when she seemed to be taking notes on what just happened. You had leaned over on your seat, leaning your elbows on your knees and the door flipped open as the coach walked in. He looked at the boys, hearing multiple and unnecessarily loud greetings as he made his way to the bench. His slippers made a small sounds against the polished floor, "They're warming up?"

Kiyoko nodded and he nodded to you in greeting as well, "Coach, can you tell me about Nekoma? How do you think we'll do?"

As you questioned Coach Ukai, he shoved his hand into the pocket on the front of his jumped and pulled out a rolled magazine, Daichi and Sugawara heard your query and stopped on the court to take a few steps closer to also hear what Ukai had to say, he didn't say anything at first as he flipped through the slightly crinkled magazine before stopping on a page with some people on it while the pages were mostly red.

"Nekoma, they're flexible and they display solid receives." He looked at Daichi, then you and you noticed most of the team was now approaching Ukai to listen, "We're destined rivals, my old man and their coach, Nekomata, it's the 'Battle at the Garbage Dump.'

"Oooh~!" Hinata's eyes glowed and he grinned with pink cheeks, "That's so cool!" Kageyama was quiet beside him but his eyes were still glowing, he couldn't help but agree with the orange-haired boy.

"This is their captian here, Kuroo. He's an efficient receiver and I've heard he's an expert blocker too. We need to prepare for anything and keep training too, get back to work." The boys nodded, feeling satisfied with what they heard and more enthusiastic to play, tossing and spiking across the net.

Ukai passed the magazine over, Kiyoko glanced at it before handing it over to you so you got a good look at the captain of Nekoma, Kuroo Tetsurou. You read over the section about him and then you saw more information on his team as well. He was smiling, crossing his arms and staring right at you. You couldn't help admiring him and his smile, or it was actually a smirk, really. He looked attractive, slender and muscular with messy hair that was styled in a way that made him look so appealing.

You could feel your cheeks warming up and your heart became louder, it was noticeable that the thumping was going faster, it was scarily noticeable but you had to force yourself to ignore it. Daichi looked at you again, Sugawara approached him to gain Daichi's attention and guide it to you but he saw that he was already looking. They both stared at you, watching your reaction as you looked into the magazine, fearful for what they hoped wouldn't happen.

Wednesday morning, the bus was sitting in the parking lot of Nekoma High, the team had been bouncing in their seats as they conversed loudly and you were seated beside Daichi as he conversed with Sugawara and Asahi from across the aisle. You were tempted to sleep on the way there but the rumbling of the engine plus the entire team speaking without a care wouldn't allow you to relax.

You hated that throughout the entire day yesterday, the picture of Kuroo would always popped into your mind. He was smirking, his eyes crinkled a little from the action but you couldn't see the colour of them properly. Hopefully you'd see it really soon. From the front, the boys began piling out of the bus and there was a boy, a familiar looking boy waiting outside his school.

He was going to guide Karasuno to the gym and then you stood, your shaky breath leaving your lips to alert Daichi of your nerves, "No need to be nervous, we're the ones playing today."

"It's a practice match Daichi.." He still smiled, letting you walk before him as you stepped down the bus to exit and hold your sweater closer to your body, "I don't get why I'm here."

"I told you before, you're apart of the team." Sugawara nudged you gently and smiled sweetly, you couldn't help feeling reassured for a small moment and then they both walked forward until you were trailing behind with Tsukishima and Yamaguchi to walk with.

"Why're you even here?"

You sighed again and felt your heart beat louder at the sight of Kuroo, he was there with Daichi and they greeted each other. They appeared civil but it was comical when you noticed the twisted smile on both of there faces, they spoke as if they were good friends after that and Kuroo lead the team towards the gym. Kuroo looked back at the rest of Karasuno, you had to immediately look away.

"Your guess is as good as mine."

Shit, he's really handsome.

For most of the matches, Kuroo had been sitting out until later in the second set. He taunted Hinata and the middle blocker yelled at the Nekoma captain as he was being riled up. The scores were close but Nekoma had a better chance at winning. Karasuno wasn't synchronised and they didn'y really know their places yet. Karasuno was still new and getting ready to advance but they needed time and loads more practice.

Hinata and Kageyama performed their quick which had surprised the team and you wanted to slap yourself when Kuroo's growing smirk made you warm in the face. You knew you were blushing. You knew what was happening but you forced yourself to push all these stupid emotions away. It wasn't until his eyes; his hazel eyes, caught yours did you feel like you could've melted to the ground into a pile of nothing.

It was a little unusual but you didn't mind it, Tsukishima seemed to stay by you or maybe you stayed by him but it wasn't something you didn't want. He was aloof and and disinterested in most things, even in the game but he still sat by you as he drank from the bottle of water calmly. He was hardly sweating but he stood and you mirrored him as you didn't want to be alone in a place you didn't know. You shouldn't have though, because when you stood up and looked in front of you, Kuroo was right there.

He smiled, an odd look taking over his eyes and Tsukishima just stared back. He was bored and he obviously wanted to leave, "You're not like a high school student at all.." To this, Tsukishima furrowed his brow for only a second before recovering, "Ah, sorry senpai, should I just call you senpai like this, huh, senpai?"

An irritated look appeared on the black-haired boys face but he didn't answer immediately. Instead, his gaze shifted down to you as you stood shorter than both of them. You wanted to back away but he smiled and it made you blush and you hated it but it was such a rush when you swore sparks flew. He was there, in front of you, smiling at you.

Dear Kami, I hope I look okay.

He's tall and thin but muscular and built in all the right ways, his narrowed eyes could make you stop functioning and you knew you were done for. You didn't want it to happen again, to rush into something stupid and trivial and you definitely didn't want to get into another relationship, screw that. You wouldn't pay attention to your emotions, what you felt wasn't real, you knew it.

"The manager of Karasuno is really cute." He commented and grinned and your jaw almost dropped, you paid no attention to the first year next to you and he didn't say anything either, "I'm... not the manager. I'll be going."

He watched you turn to leave and you almost succeeded until he spoke again, his voice a little husky when he spoke so casually and you wanted to hear him say your name, "Hey now, your little Chibi-chan wants to keep playing, sorry to say but I don't think you're going anywhere." He wore a sly smirk, and looked at him and he saw your glossy eyes and your red cheeks, he thought it was actually cute. He wasn't just saying it to rile up Tsukishima.

"I-I'll go wait in the bus. Bye."

"You know.. I saw you looking at me a lot." Dammit, he really didn't want you to leave or maybe he liked watching you stand in discomfort but you were still growing annoyed, "Yeah, I look at things I like, what of it?"

He, Kuroo, grinned as you walked away. You almost broke into a jog and it caught attention of the third years when Daichi watched you run. Tsukishima pulled a face of disgust and he walked to his team. Kuroo was left to recite your words in his mind over and over.
