Chapter Thirteen

I straightened out my baseball shirt and put a hat on my head right before seven. Time for dinner, I was starving. Angus came over and took me to the lobby where the rest of the guys were.

"Hey you're on time this time," Malcolm pointed out.

"Have to be puntcual around the ladies Malcolm."

"Oh yeah, every night Ellen fantasizes about punctuality."

"At least she's got somethin' to fantasize about," Angus replied. The whole band talked and laughed the way there. People came around to ask for pictures and autographs. I stayed out of the way again. A couple people looked at me probably thinking I was someone's kid or something. A couple girls whispered to each other, and looked at me. Gee, way to be secretive.

Finally we made it to whatever restaurant the boys had found. We sat at a circular table and Angus sat on my right side. Most of the night was spent talking, laughing and sharing stories. Brian was telling a funny racing story when two men came up to our table.

"Hey guys, fancy meeting you here," Mike said. Another man, much older was next to him.

"Jackson, it's been a damn long time," Malcolm said shaking the older man's hand.

"Sure has. Hope my brother hasn't shamed the family name."

"Not yet." They laughed and let them sit at our table. I looked down so Mike wouldn't see me. "What brings you lads here anyway?"

"Just came to eat out, found this place, saw you guys," Mike answered.

"Mikey invited me over, quite the coincidence you'd all be here too," Jackson said.

"Hey Hannah's here too!" Mike said smiling at me. His eyes told me this was all on purpose to find me. Great, I've caught a stalker. "Jack, this's Hannah, the girl I told you about." Jackson flashed me a smile.

"Oh so you're the girl who's friends with AC/DC. Known 'em a long time have you?" I nodded. "Me too. I was a roadie of theirs a while ago. Now my brother's taken my place. He talked a lot about you, you're a special girl." I smiled back politely, but felt sick when I saw Mike give me a wolfish grin.

Angus looked over at the new roadie. He was glancing at Hannah every other breath and eventually gave her a suggestive smile. He didn't like that smile. Didn't like it one bit. And he'd bet his guitar she didn't like it either.

Now, he didn't want to seem too obvious, but he wanted to comfort Hannah. Let her know he was there in case anything went wrong. He placed a hand atop hers and brushed her fingers with his thumb. It seemed to work at first. She loosened up a bit until suddenly stiffening up again. Then she quickly looked down and pulled her hand away.

Mike's lustful gaze scared me to death. I wasn't interested in him at all, and he wasn't taking no for an answer. A small, warm hand rested on top of mine temporarliy taking the fear away. Angus always had that calming effect on me, even after trying to-you know, in 1975. I relaxed a little, returning my focus to the conversation at the table. Phil and Jackson were reconnecting quite well when Mike's foot brushed up against my leg. He looked back and forth between me and Angus' hand. I realized what that must have looked like and pulled my hand away. I told him there was nothing between us. One of us was married and the other was a very young time traveler. No matter what feelings we had or still have, we weren't together and Mike had to see that. Who knows what he'd mouth off to me for.

I stood up excusing myself and headed outside. I needed some fresh air to help me think, then I wouldn't be such a scaredy cat.

While Jackson, Phil, and the rest of his mates caught up, Cliff looked over to see Angus put his hand on Hannah's before she quickly pulled away. Before getting up and heading outside. No, it couldn't be. She dismissed Angus. She pulled her hand away and left him. She didn't like him anymore, it was clear as day. Unless there was something he missed, it was pretty obvious what was happening. Angus looked at the door ready to follow her when Mike stood up.

"Don't worry Ang, I got her."

I stood against the brick wall of the restaurant. I wished I had brought my toothpick, I'd have something to nibble the stress away. Probably best to just break the habit though. "Awfully cold out here," a voice said. I turned my head and saw Mike coming over. Can't get rid of this guy.

"Not really," I mumbled. He put either hand on either side of me pinning me to the wall.

"You're still coming over to my place, right?" he asked, breath suffocating me. Dude. Brush your teeth.

"I don't think I want to anymore," I spat at him. Maybe I shouldn't have left the restaurant at all. Though I didn't think he'd follow me out.

"Why not? Too busy pleasing Angus?" he growled.

"I told you-"

"Don't start with me, I saw his hand. He's a rockstar, it's what they do. They get you backstage, take you on tour, then dump you off. Name one who hasn't done that."

"He's more of a gentleman than you are."

"I'm being honest here. What's he got that I ain't got, answer me. It's not worth going after someone who might retire soon." Yeesh Mike, he's only forty one, give him a break. Mike gave me a stone cold glare before softening. "'M sorry. It's just the last girl I really liked got away the same way. Dated me, got her kicks, then dumped me for some 'older man'. Didn't want me at all. I really do like you Hannah. I don't want you to leave me the same way she did."

"We aren't even together, so why should that matter to you?"

"It matters..." he purred, whispering into my ear. "because I was hoping we could be." He started nuzzling into my neck wrapping his arms around me.

"Hannah, you out here?" Brian. Mike sighed and stepped away from me. I dodged out of his way heading for the voice when he grabbed my arm.

"Don't forget, lounge room October 21st."
