A/N: I'm thinking about writing a short with Alex and Payton (Devon's sister). It will be about the time they went to Catholic school together. Yes, the same school Alex mentioned to Jimmy and Big Joe in chapter seventeen.

Glory POV
An eternity later (although the near by ornamented clock stated that only an hour had passed) I concluded that this was one of the lamest dates ever and I no longer wanted to have a relationship with Tyson Williams. I was still dtf though. He might be boring as hell now but I was sure he'd be great in bed. Plus, I didn't know any girls at school who had hooked up with the boy so one night with him would be front page news. And that was exactly where I belonged: front page.
"Shame really!" I thought. "We would've looked so good together."
I gazed at him but of course he was staring at Bella. He seemed like he wanted to take one of the cups and stuff it into the blonde's never closing mouth. I guess I could blame his friend for encouraging the girl as he kept asking her about the things she liked to eat, drink, watch, etc., but the truth was that even without his inquiries she still wouldn't shut up.
"How about we get some fresh air?" Tyson's question was aimed at me and I mentally cheered. Finally, he was showing some interest in me! Not ten minutes later we were outside the mall.
"Oh, the night has gotten chilly!" I noted through a sigh.
"Yep," he answered, putting on his jacket and zipping it up.
"I wish I'd brought a jacket with me!" I sighed once more, hoping he'd get the hint and give me his.
"You should've," was all he uttered, making my jaw drop.
Oh, come on, he can't be that dense! I took a deep breath and putting a flirty smile, I asked him:
"Aren't you going to offer me yours?"
He looked at me like I was crazy.
"So that I'll be the one who's cold?"
That was it!
That was the last straw!
How can he be such an improvident jerk?
I had dressed up for him, did my hair and make up, put on my best shoes, purposefully left my jacket at home so he could offer me his and all that AFTER the lousy excuse for a date we had last time and he was worried that he might get cold?
I had had it! I was so going home...
"I have a spare one in the car. Do you want it?" He queried.
I grinned, seeing right through him.
What? He just happened to have a spare one in the car? I didn't think so! He either planed on giving me that second jacket or he wanted to get me alone in the vehicle. Hmm, perhaps that was why we left his friend and Bella in the mall, so that he could "warm me up" in his car.
"Sure!" I purred and wrapped my arm around his. "Lead the way!"
I could already taste the sweetness of my victory. Sex in the back seat wasn't really my thing but hey, I'd make an exception for Tyson Williams. I bet his cold and disinterested demeanor was just a front; I bet that he wanted to get all hot and heavy, that he was barely restraining himself from ripping off my clothes...
"Here!" He interrupted my fantasies, handing me a denim jacket.
So he didn't mean for us to screw in the car?
"Aren't you going to put it on?"
"Sure," I answered with a lot less enthusiasm than before.
I slipped the clothing on, wondering how the hell had this boy not made a move on me. Was he gay or something? I heard laughter and when I turned around I saw the backs of two brown-haired people.
"Is that Alexandra?" I queried aloud, looking at a short brunette.
"No way," he contradicted at once. "Alex is way hotter than this girl. And her laughter sounds different."
"Really? You think she's hot and you noticed her laughter?" I frowned. "I hate that little foreign bitch!"
"She's not a bitch!" He growled, taking me aback. By the way his eyes widened right after, I figured he surprised himself as well. He then furrowed his eyebrows as if he was thinking something through.
"Come on, I'll drive you home."
What? He was ending the date? I was the one who should've done that! Nobody just ends a date with me.
"Are you coming?" He queried already in the driver's seat.
"Fine!" I hissed, plunking myself beside him. I gave him the address and he drove off without a word.
This was officially the worst date in the history of dating!

Tyson POV
The Witch had given me directions to her place and then she kept quiet.
Thank God for that; I had nothing to say to her. I was still pissed off that she called Alex a bitch. But how come? I kept calling the brunette that myself.
The ride to Glory's was silent. I snuck a glance at her every now and then, expecting her to start shouting at me and cause a scene. No such thing happened, she just stood stiffly in her seat with her arms crossed over her chest and kept on frowning and looking through the window. The moment I parked the car, she jumped out of her seat.
"Hey?" I called after her.
"Yes?" She responded still pouting.
"You forgot to give me back my jacket."
I didn't know how but that one sentence unleashed Hell. The girl turned bright red, her eyes popped out and she started screaming as loud as she possibly could.
"The jacket? You want back your frickin' jacket? Here's your jacket!" She ripped it off herself and threw it at me. "God! What the hell was I expecting when I agreed to go out with you again? I dressed up for you, I made sure I looked irresistible and what did I get? You didn't hold the door for me at the café, you didn't offer me your jacket, you didn't even fucking kiss me! What kind of date was that?"
"The lousy kind," I responded not caring that some of the neighbors were peeking out of their windows while others had actually gone out in their yards and were blatantly staring at us.
The Witch gave out one more scream then slammed the car door as hard as she could.
"The one I shouldn't have had," I added in my mind as I started the car again.

I drove to her apartment. I did not know what I expected. I just knew I had to see her. Not talking wasn't helping so to hell with it! Let's hear what she had to say!
I messaged her, letting her know I was outside her building. I told her to come down alone. I didn't want him around.
Alex showed up dressed in jeans and a dark oversized button up shirt. My first thought was that it must've belonged to Devon but as the girl approached I recognized the clothing: it was mine, the same one I'd given her to sleep with when she was at my place. Last time I enjoyed her wearing my clothes but tonight it only made things worse for me; she had worn it while she had been with Devon.
"So... Are we going up to the apartment?" She questioned, biting her lip.
Oh, don't do that, Alex, please don't do that, you have no idea how it affects me!
"The three of us can order pizza or Chinese or something," she went on.
"Can't wait to get back to him, can you?" I queried in a cold tone that startled her. "Can't wait to be with him again?"
"Tyson, Devon and I are not sleeping together," she explained calmly and I saw no signs of deceit on her beautiful face. Yet I couldn't keep it in me anymore. Even though I didn't think she was lying to me, all the words that I had bottled up burst out of my mouth.
"You aren't sleeping together? Is that what you'd have me believe? He is staying in your apartment for a week now and it's purely platonic?"
"Yes, Tyson, it's purely platonic," she replied in the same leveled tone as before.
"He was all over you, Alex!" I shouted. "He was all over you that first day; he wants to do you!"
She let out a loud snort.
"Yeah, right!"
"He was flirting with you! He called you "sexy little menace" and he kissed you," I carried on.
How could she dismiss such behavior?
Did she truly believe that was platonic?
She puffed.
"We were just messing around. Trust me, Ty, Devon is not interested in me."
"Oh, yeah? So why does he flirt all the time? Why does he show off all the time?" I queried, remembering how the guy would ruffle his hair, flex his muscles and lick and bite his lips.
"He was hoping to get laid," she explained simply.
"But you just said he wasn't interested in you..." I started confused at the last statement. She was reassuring me that nothing was going on between them, that he did not want to get in her pants and now she was saying he wanted to get laid?
"Nope, not interested in me." She chuckled, looking at my still baffled expression. "Tyson, Devon is gay. It was you he was trying to impress by showing off."
"W-what?" My voice came out high-pitched. Then I uttered one of the dumbest questions I could possibly ask: "You mean as in happy and joyous or..."
"No, as in the dude fucks other dudes. And lately he's set his eyes on you. That was why he was showing off."
"Oh!"
"So now do you want to go to the apartment and order something to eat?"
"Yeah," I answered, not really sure what I was agreeing to.
Devon was gay.
He hadn't been showing off for Alex, he'd done it for me.
Those were two simple facts but they astonished me so much that for a while I could think of nothing else. And then it hit me: Alex was still single.
*****
We sat in the apartment, having dinner. In the end we'd settled for Chinese. I had never been good with those sticks you use to eat but Devon had shown me how to properly hold them and I was quickly getting the hang of it. Now that I knew he wasn't after Alex I looked at him in a whole different way and I had to admit: the dude was pretty cool. It was a bit weird that a guy was flirting with me but it wasn't anything over the top so I didn't really care.
"So how did your friend react when you told him we found what he was looking for at the pawnshop?" I queried, finishing my food and putting the empty container on the table just as Alex and Devon had done before me.
"He was pretty darn happy. He said he'll get me a fag next time we see each other." I was sure he'd purposefully used that vocable instead of "cigarette" or "smoke". I'd come to realize he enjoyed playing with words. "And I met some pretty interesting people while I was searching for his precious lost item."
"Oh, we met some interesting characters as well," I stated. "One of them even got Alex's nature right. Yep, good old Polly saw right through her!"
"Hey!" The girl shouted, pretending to be angry. "At least I'm only a striper; you are a hooker."
"Do I want to know?" Devon questioned.
"I'm thinking of buying a parrot," Alex explained briefly just as her phone rang. "It's Payton, I'm going to answer it."
"Why is my sister calling you?"
"'Cause I'm cool. Hello?" The last word was aimed at the girl on the other end of the line. We didn't hear more of their conversation as the brunette went into her bedroom.
"So, Tyson," Devon moved to the seat Alex had just vacated which happened to be on the couch right next to me. "I had a dream about you last night," he went on and by the huskiness in his voice I could tell exactly what kind of dream it had been.
