01. Here We Go Again.
Chapter One
“NAT!!”, Nat heard his sister yell and his body flew upwards. His head snapped to his sister and looked at her as if she was crazy. She smiled, “Mom said to get up and come down for breakfast before you leave for your first day of school.”
“You have to yell?” he asked. “Damnit, Addie, you could have woken up the whole neighborhood!”
She shrugged, “You weren’t waking up when I tried the last two times.”
“Is it six-thirty already?” he asked, looking at his clock. He groaned, lying back down on his bed and ran his hands down his face. He thought for a second, maybe it wasn’t a good idea to go back to public school, remembering how much he hated getting up so early. “Okay, I’ll be down in fifteen, twenty minutes.”
“You better or I’ll bring a bucket of water up for you.”, she said. "Ice cold water." she added.
“Addie, this bed set is worth two hundred dollars, you get it wet, I better have two hundred straight up.”, he said.
“Well no one said to paid that much for a blanket.” she said before leaving.
Nat laid there for a few moments before he started slapping himself, “Okay, Nat, wake up. First day of public school after about three years of homeschooling.”, he said, forcing himself up.
He forced his legs into a pair of dark blue jeans, a grey beater, and a blue and white flannel shirt. He just brushed through his hair, not bothering to do anything to it since his bed hair was pretty awesome. He sprayed himself with some cologne before he went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth.
He went back into his room and grabbed his bag, feeling kind of weird being a normal teenager and stuff. He sat down on his bed, thinking whether or not he made the right choice to come back to Storm and back to school with the people he grew up with again. He knew of course they changed—everyone changes. Will they accept him?
Probably.
Will they want to be his friends?
Probably.
Will Cam bother to even talk to him?
He doesn’t know, he hasn’t had much time to talk to her or even see her yet. He’s been so busy moving back to Storm, redoing his room, spending time with his family, and making sure his music life is still being handled.
Nat had to admit, he was nervous to be stepping through those doors again. He only had half a year there, but he still remembered the bottom half well. He wasn’t really popular and neither were the guys. Kyle and KC have already graduated, so it’ll be him and Dan.
“NAT!” he heard Addie yelling.
He sighed as he got up from the bed and put his bag on one shoulder. “What have I gotten myself into?” he asked himself as he left his room.

Cam flatten her new freshly cut bangs and went over them again, but did a little flip. She ran her flat iron through her freshly dyed dirty blonde hair. She no longer had that mess of red hair but a natural blonde look and she had to admit, she loved it.
She forced herself to smile, “Everything’s going to be okay, Cameron.” she said to herself. She stepped back to look at herself in the mirror. Black skinny jeans, a silvery white top that had a black belt around her waist, and low cut silver heelless boots. Her makeup had a natural look with just some little eyeliner and mascara.
Her cell phone vibrated and she picked it up, seeing it was a new text from Seth. She opened it and it said he was here. She grabbed her bag and left her room. She ran downstairs and kissed her mom on the cheek. She hasn’t let her dad move back in so he’s still living on her uncle Cole’s couch.
"Have a great first day, honey!” she said before Cam went out the door and walked over to Seth’s car.
She kissed his cheek when she got in the car, “Thanks for arriving on time.”
“Can’t be late for our first day, can we? Plus, I want to show off the beautiful girlfriend I have.” he said cheesily.
“Ah, how sweet.” she said. “You think anyone’s going to recognize it’s me? I mean, my hair isn’t that blonde, but still. It’s a big change.”
“Of course they will, who could mistake those chipmunk cheeks?” he said, reaching over and squeezing her cheek playfully.
She smiled and smacked his hand away, “Ha-ha, real funny.”
They soon pulled up to Storm’s High School. He parked the car and they got out. Cam kept an eye out for Nat, but just to show Seth she isn’t minding him being here, she wrapped an arm around his waist and his arm went around her as they went up to the school building.
Of course she had to tell him that Nat and the others would be moving back. It would be on her if he just sees Nat and gets mad at her for not telling. He asked if she minded it and she said she didn’t, that she didn’t have time for Nat since she has school, dance squad, and spending time with him.
Cam and Seth met up with a huge group of friends, all of them were shocked to see what Cam did to her hair and they all said they loved it. Kim and Chris were together as a couple and Cam guessed she hasn’t gotten a chance to tell Chris. Kim had a guiltily look on her face as she gave a small smiled to Cam and Cam smiled back, but they never went up to each other to speak.
Cam couldn’t lie when she said her and Kim were growing apart and she hated it, but things happen. Cam has a boyfriend now and everything has been different with them since they got back.
“She’s trying to hide it under the jacket.” a girl name Darcy said about Amber. “It’s like 80 degrees out still and she’s wearing that jacket. We all knows she’s pregnant, no need to hide it.”
“Has she said who the father is yet?” another girl asked.
“No, not yet. But she should soon before people start to make up rumors.” she said. “I feel bad; her parents made her quit the dance squad.”
“Maybe it’s meant to be. It’ll be Cameron’s turn again to lead us to winning this time.”, the girl said, smiling at Cam.
“Oh, I don’t know!” Cam said. “I mean, I almost had a heart attack the first time. So much attention on me was terrifying actually.”
“Confidence, girl, it’s all it takes.” Darcy said.
Cam opened her mouth, but she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned her head to see a girl she didn’t recognized. She turned around; the girl was a good height, slim, nice cheek bones, and had amazing long brown wavy hair. She was completely gorgeous.
She gave Cam a smile, “Hi, I’m Raychel, but you can call me Ray, it’s a nickname.” she said, holding her hand out to Cam.
Cam smiled and put her hand in Ray’s, shaking it. “Cam, are you new?”
“Yeah, I am. I moved here from New Jersey. I was wondering if you could help me find the guidance office, I can’t seem to find it. I’m a Junior.” she said.
“Well you’re in luck, Ray.” Cam said. “Cause I do know where it is and I am also a junior, I wouldn’t mind showing you.”
She turned to Seth, kissing his cheek, “I’ll see you at lunch.” Since Seth was a year older then her, she could only see him at lunch.
“Okay.”, he said, pouting and she chuckled at him.
She went to Ray’s side and Cam began walking to show her the guidance office.
“Wow, it’s nice to meet someone as cool as you on my first minute here.” Ray said.
Cam looked at her surprise, “Cool? Hardly! It’s just I’m in a group with those people and we tend to hang out a lot together. When it’s just me, you would think I’m the shyest girl ever.”
“Oh. What kind of group?” she asked.
“Dance.”.
“Oh.”, she said. “I can’t really dance, it’s like I have two left feet. A family of proud Latino’s, but can’t dance to save my life.”
“Well if you ever want to learn, you can always come to me.” she said as they turned the corner to find the guidance office. “I was just the same, though I couldn’t and…” Cam trailed off when she saw Nat and Dan sitting on two chairs next to the guidance office.
They felt her gaze and turned their heads. They both did a double take at her. She has gotten that a few times from people, her hair wasn’t its normal red curly side swept bangs anymore.
When she got up to them, she smiled, “Hey.”
Dan was the first to wake up from the surprise and he got up. He was in black jeans and a white T-shirt with some band on it. “Hey Cammy.” he said, hugging her. “I didn’t recognize you at first. Blonde, I like it.”
“Thanks, Dan.”, she said. “And I see youre becoming a fan of piercings.”, she said, looking at the stud on the bottom right side of his lip.
Nat then got up and gave her a half grin, “Surprised to see us roaming these halls once again?” he asked and they awkwardly hugged. Cam couldn’t help but inhale his cologne and thought it smelled amazing.
“Yeah, I wonder who has recognized you guys yet.” she said.
“Some people have given us a few looks.” he said. He turned to Ray and looked confused.
“Raychel, but I prefer Ray”, she said, holding her hand out and he shook it. She chuckled, “I know this is going to sound really crazy, but you guys look so familiar. I swear you guys look just those two guys from this band I’ve seen in magazines.”
“Oh really?” Dan asked, grinning at her and her eyebrows came together. “And what do you think of that band?”
“Well, I think…their okay.” she said and Cam couldn’t help but let out a quick chuckle. “I mean, I’m not a fan of rock and roll and that song Anything But No was kind of sexist towards women. I mean, come on? What did they think girls are going to think? ‘just let the straps go down and lets turn down the lights and please say anything but no’.” she sang and cam was surprised at how nice her voice was. “I mean, come on. My dad has to hold a Bible when that song comes on.” she said in disgust.
Nat gave her a stiff smile and stuff his hands in his pocket, “Well, I was kind of drunk when I wrote that song.” he said.
She looked confused for a second before her eyes widen. “Oh crap! You are them! Sons Of—something!”
Nat’s smiled stiffened more, “Sons Of Adam.”
“Right!’ she said, awkwardly chuckling. “So what are you guys doing here in Storm? Shouldn’t you be off in Europe or something?”
“Well if you must know, nosy,” Nat said, kind of sounding like he was flirting. “This is our hometown and we came back to finish our schooling in a normal town to try to have a normal life again.”
She squinted a little and she looked confused, “Isn’t that kind of hard since you both are big huge rock stars?”
Nat shrugged, “We’re trying to make it work.”
Cam felt weird suddenly being forgotten. She tried to get in the conversation, but one person would quickly start talking about something.
The guidance door opened, “Raychel Mena?”
“Right here!” Cam couldn’t stop herself from calling out and wrapped her arm around Ray’s arm. She felt everyone’s eyes on her confused and her face flushed.
“Okkkaay.”, the lady said.
“Well I’ll see ya in the Junior hallway.” Ray said to Cam as she smiled and went to the lady, going in the room with her.
She turned around to go to the Junior hallway, but Nat and Dan were looking at her. She shrugged, “What?” she asked. “She wanted so badly to find the guidance office, I was doing my good deeds.” she said, walking around. “I’ll see you’ll later.” she said, leaving the awkwardness of their silence.
_______
More of Nat and Cam drama! *Sigh*. You got to love them though.
