It was NXT Takeover London for the world and for the wrestling universe in general. A lot of people were interested to see what NXT UK was going to show that time around, because a lot of awesome matches were scheduled and the talent was just as nervous as the crowd, because it was such a big and important event for everyone. The UK was especially important to two people in particular: Y/N L/N and NXT UK Womens champion, Kay Lee Ray. Not often did they find a new signee who would fully understand how a match would work, but Y/N was quite different. However, after a few more minutes of talking, Y/N was interrupted by a phone call he had to take, so the young man excused himself and left the two women to themselves.

Toni:" He's an interesting guy, don't you think?...Kay?...Hey, are you listening to me?"

Toni was a little concerned for her friend who didn't respond at first until she was brought back to her senses by a soft shake.

Another round of soft laughter emitted and so, they walked to a more comfortable spot to keep talking, but Kay kept being distracted at various points of the chat.

It stung to see that, both as a fan and a co-worker, but this was the storytelling part coming into play. Ilja was too exhausted to even try and help as Mark and Joe turned their attention to him. They stalked him, slowly, like they just cornered their prey, but they didn't calculate in that Y/N was tough as nails as he turned them back around and suplexed them at the same time.

This was the save Ilja needed as he accepted Y/N's hand and was brought back to his feet. The two looked at each other for a moment before they took care of business by throwing Mark and Joe back out of the ring. Of course this would set up the next feud, but that wasn't even the point of focus right now. Then again, none other than Gallus leader Wolfgang watched everything with an angry scowl on his face. He didn't like it at all that his boys were taken down that easily, but he had a plan for the coming future.

How did the match end though? Well, Y/N was victorious against Ilja after a hard battle. He nailed him with a tough Top Rope DDT before getting the three count, but it didn't come without a price. After being checked over in the trainers room, it was revealed that Y/N had two cracked ribs and a twisted ankle, which meant he had to take things easy for a little bit. Fortunately his ray of sunshine came back when he met up with Kay near the parking lot.

Kay:" Look at you, Mr Warrior."

Y/N:" Very funny. I do the best I can with everything I am."

Kay:" I know you do and that's so admirable."

Y/N:" Is it really?"

Kay:" In my eyes, yes. Now come on, you need to rest up."

Y/N:" What about you though?"
