Chapter 21
Song for the chapter- How does a Moment Last forever?- Celine Dion
"Eileen." He whirled and smiled. I held my hands out to him. He carefully drew me into his warm, loving embrace.
"Nick." I tilted my head up to him. He touched my cheek. "I love you so much baby."
"I love you so much more, kitten." He brought his lips to mine.
I smiled during our kiss, I had found my match. I had found the man that would make me happy for the rest of my days.
"Is the whole Grant thing over for good?" He whispered.
"Yes." I looked up at him. His chocolate brown eyes twinkled and he rubbed my ring finger.
"I am glad." He smiled. "And Leen."
"Yeah?"
"If you had had Jonathon, I would have loved him as my own."
My eyes welled and I looked away to dab my eyes. "Oh Nick, you don't know how much that means to me."
He swayed me gently as the photographer walked in a stealthy circle around us. He snapped pictures as we conversed.
He caught Nick tenderly wiping a tear from my eye, me smiling happily up at my fiance.
"Nick are you ready for today?"
"As ready as I will ever be." He shrugged.
I laughed. "If you would have told me five years ago I would be marrying my highschool sweetheart, I would have called them an idiot." He mockingly placed his hand over his heart feigning hurt. "But now I am happy it is you."
"Hey Leen, for what it is worth, I am happy you are the one I am marrying too."
He tenderly moved my face to meet his.
"Okay, sorry to interrupt, but we need a few couples shots before the wedding party joins us." Alan Richerman, the prestigious photographer we hired for our day, walked over to us looking through his camera.
We posed and repositioned time and time again. After an hour of solo shots we brought wedding party over for photos. After about two hours of us with them we walked back towards where the ceremony would take place.
"I love you Leen." Nick kissed my cheek.
"I love you too." I smiled and he walked to the front of the seating arrangements.

My flowers trembled in my hand as my dad wrapped his arm around mine.
"Eileen, I love you my beautiful baby girl." He pressed a kiss to my forehead. "You are my precious daughter."
I smiled and looked up into his eyes. "Don't cry daddy." I sniffed. "If you do so will I."
He smiled a tight smile and patted my hand. "You found yourself a good man."
"Thank you daddy." I reached up and kissed his cheek. "I love you."
"I love you more my daughter. My pride, and my joy." He looked into my eyes seriously. "I am very proud of you baby. There is nothing you could do that would ever change that. Ever."
I sniffed and my lips tilted slightly. His shining blue eyes were creased with age and the firm lines of his shoulders tight.
The wedding march swelled and he tucked my hand in the crook of his arm. "This is it." He whispered.
I glided forward on his arm as the crowd stood and I heard a few 'awws' here and there. My Louboutins clicked slightly on the marble stones we had laid down. My train and veil followed me regally.
Nicholas's eyes lit as he watched me. I kept my eyes trained on him. My mother sniffed from the front row.
We reached the front of the procession. My father pressed a kiss to my cheek. "I love you Eileen Field."
"I love you too daddy."
"Take care of her, son." He handed my hand to Nick.
"I will."
"Who gives this woman to this man in holy matrimony?" The pastor looked between us.
"Her mother and I do." My father walked to my mother, who was next to Mr. and Mrs. Winston Sr.
The pastor motioned for the guests to be seated. "Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to witness the joining together of Eileen Rosemary and Nicholas Alexander in marriage ordained by God." I looked up at Nick. He smiled and I smiled back. The pastor spoke on love and our duties to one another and to our family. "Now for the vows. The couple has chosen to say their own vows."
The ring bearer, my friend Carolina's son, handed me Nick's pure platinum ring.
"My beloved Nick." I smiled into his eyes. "I thank you for never giving up on me and for sticking by me when I needed you. I promise to never leave you when things get tough. I promise to always stand proudly by your side. I promise to love you and hold you through good times and bad times. I promise I will watch your back for all things. I promise you will never be lonely. I promise to love you and obey you. I love you so much Nick. I always have and I always will. You are the light in my life and the only person I wish to please. You are stuck with me, because I am not going anywhere." I slipped the ring on his finger.
He wiped his eyes and Caleb (Carolina's son) slipped him my diamond band. "My beautiful Eileen. You are the most precious thing in my life and the sweetest person I know. You have know far to many sad times and I am sorry for not being there for you." I wiped my eyes. "You have always been the thing I wanted the most. Nothing could compare to you. I promise I will love you and protect you with my life. I promise I will never leave you nor will I ever forsake you. You are my beautiful girl, who I can not wait to begin my life with. I promise I will always care for you. I promise you will never be lonely and will always have someone to talk to. I love you Leen. More than words can describe. I love you to the moon and back. I always have and I always will." He slipped my band on my already diamond laden finger.
"Does anyone disapprove of the matrimony of these two?" The pastor glanced at the teary eyed guests. "Speak now or forever hold your peace." No one spoke. " By the power vested in me by God and the state of New York,I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Alexander Winston, Nicholas you may kiss your bride."
Nick raised my veil and pressed his lips to mine. We pulled away and faced our audience.
"I give you for the first time ever, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas and Eileen Winston." The guests all applauded.
We walked down the isle and our attendants followed. I fell into Nick's arms.
"We are married." He whispered cradling me.
"I am your wife." I sighed happily.
He pressed a gentle kiss to my lips and I smiled.
We walked to where the receiving line would be. The first ones through were our parents.
"Oh Eileen." Mrs. Winston hugged me. "Nick made the right choice."
Mr. Winston gave me a hug. "He did good, butterfly." He had given me that nickname when I was a little girl and it just stuck.
I smiled and he kissed my cheek. I turned to my parents. They gave me hugs and kisses and then walked off with Mr. and Mrs. Winston Sr. to the reception area.
"Eileen you did it." Susan wrapped her dainty arms around me. "I am so proud of you."
"Thanks." I hugged her back.
We greeted and thanked many for coming. The reception was lovely with gold and deep blue accents. Then the final announcement was made.
"Excuse me." Nick politely interrupted the dinner. The guests were quiet and I turned to them. Nicholas handed me a microphone.
"As many of you know, Nick and I have basically the same company aspect. We have gone over everything and decided that as a new part of our marriage we wanted to work together. Now we spoke about selling his or my companies but we chose an alternative option." I looked to him.
"Eileen and I decided that we would merge the companies to form one giant company." The guests clapped and a camera flashed. "We are here to sign the final deeds saying that Winston Corp. and Field Industries are merging into Winston Corporation and Company. WCC, is what we prefer." We opened the pens and signed our respective names. "Eileen and I can not wait to begin this journey together."
The guests clapped again and we sat. After toasts and declarations from our friends and our family, the dj called for the bride and groom to do the waltz.
I stood next to Nick as he bowed to me. I curtsied and the room went silent as All of Me by John Legend poured through the speakers.

I smiled and took Nick's out stretched hand. He placed his hand on my waist and I put my head on his chest. He spun me around.
"Oh leen, remember when we first danced to this?"
"Prom 2010. Senior and Junior year." I looked up at him. At 6 ft. 5 in. he towered above me. "You were wearing the cutest tux and I had that midnight almost black Vera Wang custom made gown."
"That was a long name for a dress." He chuckled as he spun me out and then back into his arms.
"Copy right purposes." I shrugged.
He put his hands round my waist and lifted me up.

The crowd oooed and awwed. He dipped me and then gently stood me upright. The song came to a close and I curtsied.
He brought me close and pressed a loving kiss to my rosy lips. I smiled and the guests filled the ballroom. The lights were set on a dramatic glow and I turned back to Nick.
"I can't wait to begin this crazy hectic life with you." I straightened his lapel. "Who knows what is in store for us next."
"I can't wait to find out with you princess." He pressed his lips to mine and I knew I had found my home.
