Chapter 19
Song- Perfect by Ed Sheeran
Eileen POV
"Eileen?" The consultant walked out to the main sitting area.
"Hi." I turned to her and smiled.
"Hello." She smiled widely. "I am Debbie and I will be your assistant today." She looked at my group. "And who have you brought with you today?"
"My mom." I pointed to my mother. "My best friend, Susan." I motioned to the smartly dressed blonde. "A close family friend, Melania." I pointed to the supermodel. "And my dear friend Jillian."
"Well welcome ladies. Eileen, would you come back with me and then we can begin."
I stood and gathered my purse. I waved to my friends and family and then followed her into the dressing room.
"So, Eileen what are we looking for?"
"Well traditionally speaking, the Field women wear a long sleeved gown. Nothing to showy or gaudy. Silk, Lace, and Diamonds." I smiled. "I would like to keep the Traditional gown for the wedding and a more non-traditional for the reception."
"Okay. So any ideas for the style?"
"Either Princess or an Empress Mermaid look." I picked at my skirt.
"Who is your fiance?"
"Nicholas Winston." She let her mouth drop.
"You mean the Nicholas Winston who was voted most desierable bachelor just last summer?"
"Yeah." I smirked. "Though he won't be a bachelor much longer."
"When is the wedding?"
"September."
"So about 8 months." She calculated.
"Yep." I nodded and brushed my skirt out.
"Well let's begin." She left to find me some gowns and I sat going through some work related things.
About 10 minutes later she entered with gowns in hand. "Let's start with these. Also I forgot to ask about a price point?"
"No limits." I smiled and she helped me try the first one. It was lovely with a long train and a beautiful corset.
"Not quite as traditional as I had hoped but let's see what they think." I scooped the dress in my hands.

"Here she comes." The whispers began and I walked to the pedistal. I stood on it facing the mirror.
"Well, what do you think, Eileen?" Debbie watched my facial expressions.
"I like it, it has the elements I want but I think I need to try a few more on before the final decision."
"Turn around." She helped me turn and the group took in a breath.
"You look lovely." My mom smiled.
"I personally feel like it is eating you whole." Susan pointed out. "Not that is not beautiful on you, cause it is, but the sheer corset and then the sheer sleeves give it a funky look on you."
"I kind of agree with her, darling." Jillian smiled ruefully. "You look lovely but it is eating you alive."
"Okay, next dress?" I asked.
"Yes." They all agreed.
I walked back to the dressing room and we tried on dress two. A lovely princess gown with an off Ivory coloring. Lace accented every bit of the piece and I let out a small gasp as I slid it on.

"This is lovely." I exclaimed.
Debbie smiled and helped me into the showing room. I walked onto the pedistal, and Debbie arranged my train.
"Well, what are your thoughts on this one?"
"It is beautiful. I really like the lace on it. The fact that it is an off ivory makes it unique." I patted my flat stomach.
I turned and saw my mom tearing up. "Oh mama, don't cry." I exclaimed.
"I am sorry." Melania handed her a tissue. My mom dabbed her eyes with it. "Thank you Melania. Eileen you look perfect."
"Of course dear." She patted my mother's back. "Eileen the gown looks amazing on you."
"Jill?"
"Beautiful." She smiled. "I like the fact that it exentuates your body type."
I blushed. "Sue?"
"I think Nick will be shocked when he sees you."
"I am thinking this is the resounding yes then?" Debbie asked. She quickly got a cathedral veil and draped it on my head.
"Eileen are you saying yes to this dress?"
"Yes!" I cried. She clapped and my group encircled me with hugs.
"Now I heard a reception dress as well?"
"Yes." I waved and we headed back to the dressing room.
"I figured you would want something a little less dressy, but still elegant." She pulled a sleek white gown from the dress bag.

"I'll take it!" I smiled after she put it on me.
"You don't want to show your friends?"
"No. I want it to be a surprise." I quickly changed from the gown and into my clothing.
I gave Debbie a handshake and thanked her for her help. I paid for both my gowns and we exited the store.
"Thank you all so much for helping me!" I gave them all hugs. "I'll see you soon!"
Melania had a limo waiting for her and body guards surrounding that. Some precautions are taken with the First Lady of the United States.
Jillian and mom both got into their cars and Sue and I went to lunch.
"Well Leen, you did good." Susan smiled.
"Thanks." I looked over the menu. "I hope I have made the right decision." I shrugged.
"About marrying Nick?"
"No, about my dress." I laughed. "I know I made the right choice with Nick."
"Good, for a second there I thought I was going to be needing to be sending you two to marriage counselling." She teased.
We giggled and laughed and enjoyed our lunch. I went to the office for a bit then, at around 8 pm, I headed for my home.
Nicholas's car was parked in front and smiled to myself. Nicholas had put his home on the market recently and bought a place in Malibu along with one in England.
"Nick, hon, I am home." I called. Snow ran up and licked my hand. I picked her up and walked into the informal sitting room.
"Hey Leen." Nick looked up from his phone. "How was shopping?"
"Good." I smiled and set Snow on his chest. "Sorry I was late. Conner decided to call an important press meeting about the merger at 7." I sighed.
"Its okay baby." He kissed my cheek. "I had the chef cook a late dinner."
"Thanks babe." I smiled up into his chocolate eyes and brushed his brown hair away from his eyes.
We had a relaxing dinner and then went straight to bed. I curled into Nick's arms.
"I love you baby." I kissed his jaw.
"I love you more, doll." He kissed my mouth and we fell asleep.
