Chapter 20: Bloody Sanchez VS. Nishio
The young vampire girl's blood lust has taken over. She will not stop until her opponent is dead. She has a very cruel grin on her face every time she or her opponent gets cut up. She uses her extended nails to quickly slash at Lillian. Lillian just barely avoids getting cut every now and again.
The nails were just a distraction though. Alondra then kicks the abdomen of Lillian. That sends her flying back breaking two trees on her flight down. Lillian needs to catch her breath, but it's painful with two broken ribs and one cracked rib.
Alondra is showing no mercy though and goes after Lillian. She plans on going for the fatal blow towards Lillian's jugular vein. Lillian closes her eyes preparing for the worst. She waits and waits, but nothing happens. She opens her eyes and sees Alondra forcing herself to stop.
Alondra's P.O.V.
"Go. Now!" I tell her before I even think about killing her. I've thought many times how it would be like, but now that the moment is here I finally realize that I don't want to do this. I don't want to kill anyone even if they deserve it.
I take deep breaths to try and calm myself down. Lillian is looking at me with fear, and then I see a flash of anger pass through her eyes. Before I could even realize it water was once again surrounding me. I hardly had time to catch my breath.
"Lily, let her go!" Ace yells at Lillian beginning to summon his poison ivy vines. Zero is also preparing to shoot Lillian if she doesn't listen. Lillian holds on to where her broken ribs are. She glares at Ace.
"I can't believe you. You betrayed your own clan! What is wrong with you?!" She yells at Ace, but winces because she can't bear the pain of her ribs.
"I'm only doing the right thing! Alondra has nothing to do with the stupid rivalry our clan had with hers! Not even us! We weren't even born to live through the rivalry! It had ended a long time ago! We don't need those stupid powers! I know that Alondra would make better use of that power anyway!" Ace says trying to get Lillian to listen to reason. But her clan is more important so she doesn't care. Apparently neither does Zero.
He shoots at Lillian. She just barely avoids getting grazed on her cheek. Zero goes for another shot, but then his vision changes. He isn't looking at Lillian anymore she is gone. Instead he is in a black and blue rose garden. He looks around wondering where he is.
Zero's P.O.V.
"Zero? You're here too?" I turn to the voice of Alondra looking right at me. I look her over. She is wearing a long black dress that is somewhat revealing. She tilts my head up with her finger. "My eyes are up here." She says with a smile on her face, but the look in her eyes makes me step back.
"Do you know where we are?" I ask her. She shakes her head while shrugging. "I have no idea whatsoever." She says. I sigh along with her. We walk around, but stop once we hear laughter. It wasn't menacing or evil laughter though.
We look at each other, but knew we didn't have to ask each other if we had heard that. From the look of our faces we did. We jog headed in the direction of the laughter. Alondra stops and hides behind a tree. I stop and look ahead of me, but before I could make out who was there Alondra pulls me behind her.
Alondra's P.O.V.
"Hello! We should probably keep on the down low just in case!" I whisper yell to Zero. He just gives me a look, but I shrug it off. I then take a slight peek at who it was that was laughing. I gasp and lean back into Zero causing him to fall backwards.
He grabbed on to me so I fell on him. We were side by side on some roses. He glares at me, but I start to giggle. His glare softens up and he moves some hair from my face. Obviously I felt the heat going up my neck, and probably covering my whole face.
"Ah, to be young again." We hear a voice as we both sit up quickly. We usually would have distanced ourselves, but this time he held on to me as he then looks shocked at someone. I turn to face the person as well. I gasp completely shocked as he was. It was like looking into a mirror except she was wearing pink and not black.
"Whoa! Princess Sayuri and Yasuhiro!" I say shocked, and then I stand up quickly as Zero follows my lead.
"Hm? I figured you'd use the term grandmother and grandfather. I'm sure you're a lot more polite than that. Your parents did teach you that after all." Princess er uh Grandma Sayuri says.
"S-sorry. I thought you'd find it offensive that's why I didn't say it." I say looking down and rubbing the back of my head. That causes my grandmother to giggle. Of course as expected for some reason my grandpa remains calm with only a small and kind smile on his face. I can't help, but take a glance at Zero. So they don't look alike, but I look so much like my grandma. Then again I am a direct descendant.
"Why are we here? Did we die somehow?" I ask Princess Sayuri. Zero is still a little stunned at the way Alondra and her look almost exactly alike. At least Alondra is wearing black and her hair is short so he can at least have that to tell them apart.
Alondra's P.O.V.
"No, you didn't die. We're only buying time so Solstice can pass and then the Nishio's must wait for the next Winter Solstice once the next generation is born. Hm, you two are only sixteen and seventeen so I'd say your first child will come once you both are twenty five and six." Grandma Sayuri says. I blush like I've never blushed before and look down at the ground.
I cast a side glance at Zero and we make direct eye contact so we both quickly look away from each other. I managed to see that he was blushing as bad as I was.
"Do you have to be so blunt, Sayuri?" My Grandpa finally says. Well he doesn't sound like Zero either. I guess you don't always have to look like the one you were reincarnated from. She giggles and waves her hand in front of her.
"Well, we can't deny the truth between these two, now can we?" She says. I thought I was blunt, but no she's taking it to a whole new level. I'm shifting uncomfortably.
"Uh c-could you maybe clarify why we're h-here? I tried not to stutter, but that didn't go so well. I finally look up at my grandmother. She takes on a serious look. I finally sober up and look at her with the same seriousness.
"Tell me now that you've revived the vampire blood in our clan what are you going to do?" She asks me. I look at her a little dumb founded. What could she possibly mean by that? I mean I never thought I actually had to do something. I thought I was supposed to be a vampire just like every other vampire I know.
"What I'm going to do? What do you mean by that?" I ask her fighting the urge to tilt my head to the side. She shakes her head lightly and smiles warmly once again.
"You do realize both of you have become powerful purebloods? With that power comes choices both of you have to make. You see vampires of all kinds will detect that power and respect you with fear. Basically what I'm getting at is that you've taken my place as queen of vampires and along with your king." She says this time I don't even try to fight off the confusion and shock in me. Although I still do feel Zero tense up. I know what he's thinking. He can't believe what he just heard. He hates purebloods and now he must be angry and devastated to know that he has become the one thing he hates the most in this world. He might even hate me now considering that I went from Noble Class to Pureblood in these months since I became a vampire. I didn't even think that was possible. I thought you were supposed to be born one and come from two pureblood vampires. Then I think about my dad.
"But, there's a way to change that isn't there? My dad made himself human along with everybody else in my family. And, he didn't die. So, you must know how to do that, right? And it can change any vampire who is in danger of becoming a Level E back into a human or continue to rise in ranking to a vampire and not worry about losing themselves." I say with a fake smile feeling tears wanting to fill my eyes. I only really said it because maybe there's a way for Zero to become human again. I mean that's what he's always wanted.
"Yes, I know about that. I had passed that secret to my son, your grandfather then he passed it on to my grandson, your father. It can work, but tell me why does it pain you to say it?" I can't believe she actually noticed the pained look in my eyes. I don't want to answer her though. I just shake my head and finally realize what I really want to do.
"I'm not sad. I want to help them have a choice. I don't want them to suffer. I want to give vampires the choice of being a human or becoming a true vampire." I say as a tear slips down my eye. I hide my eyes with my bangs. I see a hand coming in front of me.
It's Zero's hand. He takes my chin with his hand and makes me face him. I close my eyes not wanting to see the potential hatred in his eyes. Instead of feeling that hatred or any other bad emotion I feel lips on my lips. I snap my eyes open and see that we have returned to the Nishio lair.
I was soaking wet. I don't even know how I got free from Lillian's water prison. Zero pulls his lips from mine. He then holds me in a strong and gentle embrace. I gasp, and then I hold him back.
Zero's P.O.V.
"I don't want to change back. I'm pretty sure you're not going to change back. There is no way I'm letting some other vampire come after you." I whisper into her wet hair. She is losing the tension I had felt in her earlier. I bet she is trying to hold back a sigh of relief. I never imagined that she could change me so much. I hated vampires especially purebloods, but she just has this strange ability to change those she gets close to. I don't care what is around us anymore. I don't want to let her go, but she begins to fidget around.
"Can't. Breathe. Too. . . tight." She says. I finally realize I was holding her too tightly. I guess I don't know my own strength anymore. I let her go and give her an apologetic glance. She gives me one of those smiles that make me go crazy.
Alondra's P.O.V.
"Wait a second what happened to Lillian and everything else?" I ask finally realizing that we weren't with my great grandparents anymore. I look at Zero and see that he knows something I don't. I look at him with a questioning in my eyes. He looks at me though like he isn't going to tell me. I even use the one thing I hate the most, I pout. That only causes him to roll his eyes. I give up and give him a light punch on the arm. That then makes me think of my Blue and Black Rose guns.
"What is it?" Zero asks me with concern in his voice. I point my arms to him.
"They're gone. They were destroyed." I say trying not to cry again. Zero touches both my arms where the tattoos of my Blue and Black Rose should be at.
I have this tingling sensation going through my arms. The same sensation I get whenever my Blue and Black Rose are going to appear. That is exactly what happens. They are in my hands once again. I smile happily and then look at Zero very grateful.
Before anything else can happen between us I sense someone approach. I see a bunch of people or rather vampires in cloaks.
More Nishio's had come after us. Or rather me. Zero and I both summon our guns. This may be when we die. They approach us as they reveal themselves. They all charge at us.
"Oh no you don't!" We hear a very familiar voice say as ice shards fly from behind us avoiding us. I turn around to face the owner of that voice.
"Aido!" I say actually relieved to see him and everyone else. Everyone came to help me. They have no idea how happy this is making me. I never knew I would be cared about so much. Ichiru is then standing next to me. I smile up at him as he smiles down at me.
"Can't let my little sister get hurt now can I?" Ichiru says to me. I lightly elbow him for treating me like a kid.
"Thanks you guys. Now let's do this!" I say taking the reign in this battle. Everyone nods their heads and we charge as well. An easy victory if you ask me.
