Twelve
"So I was right about your quirk." I remark to my sister, most of her burns healed thank to the nurse. "Yup." she smiles before explain how the sculpture thing she wasn't able to do until recently.
"Hey want to get some Cold Soba with me later today?" She asks out of the blue "I know a great place."
"Alright," microwave soba isn't cutting it really "but it better be good."
"Trust me, it's worth it."
Later
"Where are we?" I ask my twin as we walk into a neighbor that is very different from the one we were born in. Some of the houses were a little more ran down, others were newer along with the apartments.
My sister replies that we were nearing the place as she removes her beanie. I guess everyone is use to seeing her without it. Did she grow up here?"
We walk to what looks, in sorts, of a traditional tea house. The sign about the door reads Azi's. We enter the shop, Azula first, and was greeted with a standing ovation causing my sister to blush and even ignites on her right. I take my shoes off by the door with the others as Azula asks for a warning next time, to which a patron responding that she should've expected this. An older woman, maybe Mom's age, who hugs Azula once she extinguished herself "Don't mind him." She tells my twin "He's just mad that he lost a few bets."
This when I am noticed by her "You must be her twin." she remarks, this is a first I normally am referred to as Endeavor's son. "I am Ma'am." I nod, only for my formality to be waved off as she tells me to call her Yuki "Azula already toldme all about the trouble you two caused your dear mother."
"I have not yet." Azula responds as she grabs my wrist "Come on, I'll show you to our table."
"Everyone seems to like you." I note once my wrist is released. "You could say I'm their best costumer." she replies before explaining how Yuki is the owner and that she, the woman, take care of her when her previous care taker was away. Could the other be Toya? It could explain why he gave me that warning today. But I don't bring up that I know Toya is alive.
"That sounds nice." I say before asking if we are going to get a menu. "Nope, he knows what to get us." Azula replies as a guys walks over. He looks around our age with short dirty-blonde hair "Why Azula, I cannot believe that I did not see such a beautiful thing when I arrive." Is this guy seriously trying to flirt with my twin? Oh hell to the no!
Azula tells the guy, Muraku, to go away. Him completely oblivious to me being here, as he continues to flirt with my sister. Judging by the groans, he must really want Soba.
Right as I was about to cocoon him in ice, Azula picks a butter knife, twirling it. "I better go and help Mother in the kitchen." he says, eyes wide, "Congratulations on getting second place." Muraku then leaves.
"Wow" I say "I was about ready to ice him."
"Already tried little brother." She sighs "He class that he can thaw 'my cold heart with his love.'" she then add about how she kinda wants Bakugo to blow him up.
Yuki comes in with two bowls "Let me guess, my son was just over here." she says, Azula is still holding the butter knife. My twin replies with a yeah as Yuki sits down beside the other.
"What's up between you two?" I ask as I begin eating the Soba. Azula explains how he, Yuki's son, has the life goal of making my sister fall for him. Gross.
"Can't be worst than Mineta." I point out, "Pfh, at least a knife will keep him at bay. Muraku on the other hand, oh trust me, he use the same trick over and over. Mineta at least keeps it interesting." she shrugs. Yuki says that it's because for his "good-for-nothing father." After elaborating a bit, Yuki excuses herself so that Azula and I can talk amond ourselves.
"Have you seen Mom recently?" I ask my twin, I am thinking about seeing our mother, but I don't know if it would be a good thing.
"Yeah," Azu nods "since school started I have been visiting her every weekend."
"Do you think you can take me tomorrow?" I ask nervous. "Gladly." Azula smiles, putting me at ease "Thanks." I smile softly before deadpanning to ask what happened to her years ago.
Her demeanor changes as she looks down at her lap "It's hard for me to talk about it." Azula says softly.
"If you don't want to, you don't have to Sis." I say, hoping that I didn't cross the line.
"But you deserve to know."
